We popped in for lunch, sadly the kitchen was being refurbished BUT, when we said oh dear, and could he recommend somewhere and also be able to park the car, he said, no problem, just leave the car here and made various alternative suggestions. We went round town, had some lunch and of course went back for a lovely gin at about 3:00. Great old fashioned service.

Not my local anymore because I moved to a tiny village however going back to it today, under new management I saw a familiar face behind the bar (I'm so sorry I never remember your name and you have told me it plenty of times) but she's endured that pub changing many hands and is still there, it's still a lovely pub in a lovely area and I'm still infinitely fond of it and it's one of the many things about Clevedon that makes me desperate to come back. I hope to one day, but for now it's for me a fantastic pit stop when I come down from Hobbiton to get my hair cut and I thoroughly recommend it to anyone in the area.

Expansive and meandering garden with lots of seating, childrens' play area and a great place to meet up with friends. Barman was a gentleman, toilets super clean and a lot of clientele were eating the food from the classic pub menu. Plus! It's the only pub like this in Clevedon town centre if you want to just relax, a pint and a have a good book to read in a lovely pub garden.

I am disgusted with this pub. I will not be going there again. Being told that my son (18 months old) has to remain seated, no chance. There is noway an 18 month old will stay seated for a lengthy time. Then being constantly watched, feeling intimidated for my child wanting to run around. I'm not impressed. If you've got children, I suggest you steer clear of The Bristol Inn in Clevedon.

I have been in twice this fortnight. No real ale, only half the larger available tonight, no Guinness. Closing at 7.00 pm. Landlord Josh, said we had to leave as he had another pub to run, ( the railway Inn in yatton I was told. ) rudest landlord my wife and I had ever met, after after 22 years of going to our local pubs Not open on this Sunday, can't get the staff.(Not surprised). Punch Taverns are apparently incapable of running a celebration in a brewery. Love to hear other people's opinions. They are pathetic. Closing might be a good option.

Came to the Bristol on Sunday for a roast which is a rarity we normally go just for some drinks with friends. Me and my friend both ordered the beef roast and were surprised with how quickly the food came out and omg it was a treat! So much meat which was tender and perfectly cooked but the veg were perfect the gravy tasted amazing and it was all so hot! The food was absolutely incredible and for the amount you get is 1000% worth the price will be coming back again regularly as was the best roast I’ve had in Clevedon! Make sure you go down and try it! Also has the most amazing bar staff who cannot do enough for you! The new landlord goes above and beyond and is doing a fantastic job turning the pub around along with Mandy who is always lovely and happy to chat! The Bristol is 100% making a comeback

Brilliant owners and staff! I had a return from travelling gathering here with all my family and friends, around 50-60 people. The Bristol were very helpful in organising the event and sectioned off certain areas of the pub for us! They also let me put a buffet out. The owner also checked in a few times to make sure everything was going well which I thought was very kind! The party spent a lot of time in the pub and also outside in the massive garden area they have. Overall massive success and i am very grateful for them hosting :)

Family meal, with kids and grandparents. Nipped out for lunch, chose the Bristol Inn as I worked here in a past life. It was empty when we arrived which made me wary, however I shouldn't have been concerned. The food was excellent, I had the Haddock which I couldn't fault. Two people had the Cambodian curry which was full of flavour, and enough heat, not insipid like some pub curry's. We didn't have desserts so can't comment. Definitely eat here again

We'd had the same problem previously but then there was an improvement which is why we gave it another try! But now, things have taken a backward slide! There was one young lad serving at the bar who acknowledged us as we entered, but then we sat there and sat there waiting for someone to take our order, irritated by the loud music (there are speakers every few feet all around the indoor seating areas), Both of us suffer with impaired hearing, but we could no longer bear to be almost deafened by the loud music all around us, plus no-one had approached us to take our order. So we said, "Oh, let's go...". So we walked out. Never again - we've cross the Bristol Inn off our list of eateries!

With me not being able to eat certain things due to allergies, I was originally cautious until the chef came out and talked me through the book saying what I can and can’t eat. I ordered promptly and the food came out at a good speed and piping hot. This, alongside the welcoming atmosphere, made me feel very comfortable at the venue. Parking scam. Do not visit Went for a drink two weeks ago. We were there 30mins and now have a £60 parking fine. The sign as you enter says “Customer parking 11:00 to midnight”. There is nothing clear to suggest not parking there while using the establishment. There should be clear signage starting their ludicrous system, and there quite simply isn’t. Very deceptive and borderline criminal. Will never visit this place again and will ensure none of my friends and family do. Disgusted. With regards Bristol inn’s response: Firstly, there is no additional signage in the car park. Just the sign stating “customers only” with a time window in alignment with pub opening times, this is deceiving and wouldn’t raise alarm bells. Many pubs have a private land sign stating patrons only, this isn’t dissimilar, and it certainly doesn’t state anything about penalty fees or a parking system. If there is no parking and there are penalty fees it should be clear. (“No parking, penalty fees apply” and certainly no mention of “Customers only and a time window in alignment with pub opening times) The detail should be displayed in the car park, but it isn’t. You mention about the console at the end of the bar. I’ve never noticed this, I simply went to the centre of the bar where the bar staff are, and not once has anything been mentioned to me about the parking system. It would seem this is the same with the dozens of other frustrated customers who have posted reviews regarding this. It’s just not good enough. You are shying away from the fact your customers are being scammed with the screen of it’s not our problem, it’s not our car park. is is your problem and is surely your responsibility to ensure the signage is clear and that your customers are protected. You don’t make every effort to inform costumers. I wasn’t informed and neither were the dozens of other customers who have wrote reviews about this topic. If we were aware we wouldn’t have bloody parked there and thrown away £60. I did try to call yesterday, the call went to answerphone and guess what. The main topic on the recording is about parking fines. (If you are enquiring about a parking fine please contact the parking company directly, we do own the car park etc, etc) This clearly confirms you know there is a problem, and equally highlights your lack of care or compassion with regards rectifying it. I have visited other pubs who operate parking fee systems and impose penalties, and all have been clearly signed regarding this. Yours isn’t. There’s no way I will pay your fine.

BEWARE. My pint and crisps have just cost me £65. Dropped in for a pint while waiting to meet a friend. That was fine. What is not is the £60 parking fine I have had in the post today - meaning that my pint and crisps have cost me £65. Yes, I should have been paying more attention - but you don't expect this in a pub car park. It was a dark and rainy October evening. Signage is rubbish, both inside and out - certainly not obvious to me. And I didn't see the signing in console (assuming there is one). As a new customer wearing a coat and ordering at the bar, the bar staff, who must know of the issue, really should have asked me if I had parked in the car park and signed-in. They didn't. £60 fine. I have no intention of returning.

Amazing family friendly pub, Dawn, Sophie and Erin are always there to make you feel welcome and go above and beyond to make your night. Good pricing for drinks, lush homely food and always greeted with a smile, definitely recommend!

Returning to Clevedon after a very long time it was a bit odd to find ourselves back on Hill Road (but that is the weird emotional bit out of the way). We were a bit peckish so popped into the cafe. Had not planned to end up going for the full breakfast - but we did (one vegetarian and one meat). Gosh. They were massive. I was on the meat one, but I simply could not finish it! A first. The Good Lady had to have a piece of my toast + and egg + tomato. (A piece of bacon was scurried out in a serviette). So value-for-money, to me, it was right up there. Admittedly, and looking at other reviews, I might agree that the staff seemed quite new/a little lost at times. Not sure if there is perhaps lots of turnover but they did seem to be struggling at times. Courteous though. We felt very reasonably priced.

Picked up a takeaway . I love Thai food and this was very delicious x I love the fact that there is a sepecials board and mum dad and daughter run this place with charm and deliciousness . Have been back since.
