Qian Takeaway in North Somerset

We ordered 4 items, took them home only to discover that only one was actually what we had ordered. This was on a quite night with only one other customer in the shop. It was too near their closing time to return them. All of the dishes were sickly sweet with no flavour. I could not tell if one was chicken or pork. The pancake rolls (we had not ordered) were tasteless. The chips were soggy and not freshly cooked.

terrible food with little or no taste. if fact the prawns i had were bland and in inedible. the fact that it only takes cash makes me very suspicious. its the worse chinese food i have ever had.

I have been using this take away for years every meal has every meal has been lovely, we tend to have a drink in the pub while our food is cooking

We ordered egg fried rice, lemon chicken, and chips. Nice and simple, what could go wrong? The chips were dry and overcooked, the chicken was like eating curly cardboard, and the rice was dry. We’re not fussy eaters by any stretch of the imagination, but the food was horrible. Really horrible.

Honestly the best plant based meal I have ever had!! As a vegie/vegan the options are often dire but this take away meal was sublime!!! My partner had meat based choices and I had the vegie set meal with extra mushroom chow mein. I cannot recommend this take away restaurant enough. They delivered within an hour and I cannot wait for another reason to order.

AVOID. GAVE US FOOD POISONING from the pork. Tasteless food compared to previous owners. Have reported them to trading standards at North Somerset Council.

ordered food for delivery.. had missing rice and burnt duck.. was disgusting and the worst chinese we have ever eaten.. we called to say the rice was missing and the duck was burnt we were offered no refund and thanks for letting us know.. we won’t be using u again..

Never again. Ordered egg fried rice. Chicken chowmein and salt chilli chicken. The noodles were really burnt and stuck together. You could smell the burnt as soon as you lifted the lid. The chicken tasted fiesty like cross between fish and gone off chicken. Egg fried rice smelled and tasted like fish. The salt and chilli chicken was dry and no flavour almost stale. Worst Chinese I've ever had in my life. Never ever again

The reason for the rating is that with so many people in the kitchen cooking someone should have noticed that there was a problem with my prawn toast.....never had anything like it before. Totally inedible and tougher than a Goodyear tyre. The rest of the meal was ok...my curry was tasty good chicken and prawns but the beef was a bit tough. Chips are really good and crispy. Overall a bit poor

The new owners could be a bit more 'smiley' with their customers. However, we have used this takeaway for 5 years now and never had a poor meal. When we ring to order, we are given a time, and it is ready when we get there. I think the owners have taken on board the critique they received when they first took over earlier this year.

Ok so i didn't even get a quarter of the way through this meal and i had to run to the bathroom to vomit... I was very sick for a few mins and then recovered. Obviously i threw away my order and will never be returning. I'm convinced it was the 'Mongolian Lamb' which did it, there was something a bit odd about it. Something is very very wrong at this establishment....

Been going here for a few years and used to be very good. Changed hands some months back which was ok as menu was much the same and equal quality. Not sure what has gone wrong but it definitely has. Menu has changed again with some very strange dishes. Having lived in Singapore a few years back I'm used to authentic chinese food but this was not even like that. Don't have the King Prawn and Cashew, over cooked and strange sauce and ingredientds. It used to be full of spring onion, ginger, bamboo shoots, nuts and prawns. Chicken dishes were over cooked. In fact don't go. We will try somewhere else. I look forward to future changes that they will need to make to stay in business.

Meat used was very poor quality. Looked like slices of beef but was very chewy like the meat used in beef stew. The other items were ok, fried and sweet and sour vegetables.

The food looks fine, but there seems to be no distinction between dishes, and the flavour is just uniformly bland, and rather greasy. The Crispy Aromatic Duck was the only dish worth eating. Decent quantity of duck, needed two more pancakes and more spring onion and cucumber. Please don't bother with a free bag of prawn crackers. Please concentrate on the flavour that's in the food's heritage Tried this place twice, but wondered why.

I realised how much I missed the old owners. Food was extremely greasy. I just felt really sick after only having a few mouthfuls. I can’t believe they don’t even take card unlike the old owners. Going to have to find somewhere else to have Chinese if I want one.

Unfortunately this place has really gone down hill. This is our 5th take out since it changed hands & the standards are not like they used to be. Special fried rice. Special chow mein. Pork with mushrooms & chicken skewers tonight, greasy, over cooked ,not particularly hot & just seemed to have been covered in Chinese 5 spice at the last minute for effect. Very dissapointed. Will be going to cheddar in future. On a positive note, the staff are lovely & service quick, possibly because it's so quiet in there since it changed hands

Tried this under new ownership and was very happy food excellent average price. Glad to see a veggie menu and a new Asian menu. Very happy with mock duck and chicken. Sweet and sour chicken loveley so mum says

Absolutely disgusting food! Spent £40 on a family takeaway on a Sunday afternoon, ended up throwing 3 quarters of it away! Vegetables tasted off, beef was hard and chewy and chicken was disgusting! Will not be going back again will be going to cheddar in future! Also had to pay in cash as they have no card machine which is very strange and inconvenient! Puke!

This had to be the worst chineses takeaway I’ve ever had , I will use Cheddar next time what a waste of £40

Phoned after changed hands - person was trying to up the portions all the time to increase cost, was extremely rude and then proceeded to say it was cash only - cancelled order - will go to cheddar instead

Living locally thought we'd try and what a disappointment. Pre-ordered, some food waiting on the side (subsequently cold) and some not yet cooked. Looked a bit of a shambles, however they were very busy. Only part of a £30 takeaway that was enjoyable was the lamb pancake starter. Rest of the food was left and sadly put in the food recycling bin. Definitely not returning.

Not been since it changed name and owners, so did not know what to expect as Ching was OK, average sort of Chinese takeaway.... had worse, had better.

Seems to have gone downhill a bit.CASH only which I thought was strange for a takeaway business. Food a bit bland.

Visited here for the first time after new owners,must say food was lovely!And we are very pleased to now be able to have thai food in the village too!will be back

Good for the first couple of weeks. Absolutely terrible now. Cut down on portions and so over cooked you won’t believe it.
