Lovely family meal all 12 of us enjoyed all of our meals. And they brought the birthday cake out for us afterwards. Always good service

A wonderfully warm welcome, very friendly and helpful staff, excellent food. Nothing too much trouble and we were treated as though we were the only people in the restaurant. Fast food service, lots of choice, happy kids, happy parents! A special thank you to our waitress Lauren (at least I think that was her name!)

Absolutely appalling experience. Waited an hour for our food, which never came. Sarah, the Manager apologised and said that our order did not go thru because the till went down When we asked for a refund 'Manager' Sarah refused, claiming we cancelled our order, (which we did not), and that we were given 2 complimentary desserts. We have been regulars at this restaurant for many years. We advised her that we would not be patronising that restaurant again, and she said 'Good, we don't want you coming here again'.

Amazing breakfast as always. Quick and easy service from the team especially Abbie, she dealt with a rude customer very well!

Had breakfast & evening meal. Whilst the building does need a bit of an update. The service the fairs gave was amazing. Claire & Sarah mother & daughter team ,, we’re so lovely n helpful & friendly. & the bar girl too. She was great sense humour. They pulled out books for allergens & worked out what they could sort me out for both breakfast & evening meal & adapted it accordingly,,, to suit my needs. The food was good value for money. The staff were all great. They took the time for me even though they were rushed off their feet. Well done. Great service all done with a smile

I had a lovely experience at Sidcot Arms the atmosphere is lovely as the people who worked hard to give me a joyful stay. I would recommend giving a shot to eat outside as you can enjoy the view whilst either having a pint or some food. Would come here again! 😊

Have been coming here for years with family and seen many changes. Cath is much missed, such a character. It’s not the same, but good enough and the food is always reliably decent. We come less often but I’ve been here a few times with friends recently and want to mention two particularly lovely staffs. Julie and Elliot. They’re so welcoming and polite give great service every time. I have to mention that I saw a table of quite rude people last time we were in. They were giving Elliot a really hard time, unfairly, to the point that we asked them to lay off. Impressed at how calm and Uber polite he stayed, just trying to placate them. Well done Elliott! Then they laid into a senior person (?) called Matt as well. I think Sidcot dealt with this situation well. Well done. Thanks.

Another delicious breakfast here with my son. He loves the all you can eat breakfast with such a good selection of pasties, cereals, fruits, juices & unlimited tea/coffee too as well as the hot food! Friendly welcome with a smile and good service. Never feel rushed. Atmosphere is good too & pleasant surroundings. Very clean and actually smells clean as well. Cooked breakfast made to order, hot, fresh and nicely presented. The staff working did a great job. We shall be back again

We were disappointed with the food and how dirty the place was the glass in the Windows of the conservatory were blown and it all looked very tired needing a referb

Popped in on the way home from the airport for a quick meal. Was greeted and seated swiftly. Hubby ordered at the bar (no mention of any delay). Then waited over 40 minutes for food. The chips were lukewarm … gammon was mostly fat and the chicken melt arrived minus the bacon, this was brought separately in a bowl (cold and burnt) half way through the meal. Will not be going back.

This is lovely building, great position and was once a smart hotel. Now a Brewers Fayre so food standard fare ok. Great friendly staff . Comfortable restaurant but needs a refurb. Fair value

Great breakfast this morning 😊. It was very busy but yet we didn't feel rushed. Massive shout out to Nikki who remained calm and welcoming even though you could tell she was super busy and didn't stop!

Tasty food. Served hot and presented nicely. All you can eat buffet food is cooked to order which I like as fresh and hot good selection of pastries, juices, and plenty of fresh fruits yoghurts and cereals a nice selection to choose from. Nice relaxing atmosphere on my own reading a book whilst enjoying a tasty breakfast. Friendly staff polite and happy good service overall.

I have eaten at many restaurants attached to Premiere Inn’s, unfortunately this was not the nicest I have been to. On entering there was a strong fousty smell apparent throughout the restaurant. On being seated there were stains on the carpets and furniture, the table had not been wiped down properly. I would say the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The food was mediocre. I would not return.

We had been looking forward to a local lunch at the Sidocte Arms and were not dissapointed. Kate (R) looked after us perfectly and although the COVID restrictions were there they were very well thought out and not obtrusive. The meal was excellent, just as good as we remembered. We really enjoyed being back there and would recommend it as the best Brewers Fayre reastaurant in the area. Thank you to all the staff there, especially Kate.

This was probably my best ever visit to a Brewers Fayre restaurant. Good service from all the staff even though it was their final night before being closed again for the lockdown. Even at a really difficult time the staff kept smiling and offered exemplary service.The food was excellent, I ordered a rump steak which unfortunately they didn’t have but I was offered a sirloin at the same price. Really well cooked and tasty. I was offered a Bonus club card for which I duly signed up for to receive discounts on future bookings. All in all an excellent visit and a place I will certainly return to once everywhere reopens.

Ask for a table in the room on your left when you enter the restaurant as that seems to have a bit more atmosphere than the plain room on the right that could definitely do with a refurb.Plenty of dishes to choose from. Some good deals available before 6pm.Shame we had to wait so long for food to be served. This was the case both for dinner and for breakfast. Unfortunately the baked beans were cold and not very tasty but the portion of berries served was great. Burger was decent. Both desserts, brownie and cookies, were a little sickly. Staff were friendly but not very attentive probably due to the fact that they seemed understaffed. During dinner radio was being played.

We stayed at the premiur Inn for three nights, also dined at the Sidcot Arms for our stay. On our first night my wife ordered the chicken forestiere and enjoyed it so much that's all she had for our entire stay. Service very good, helpful and friendly. Also Premiur Inn very good. Would recommend and we will certainly be revisiting.

Staying along the road at Cheddar Lodges, popped in for food after a busy day. Very disappointed, had nachos for starter which was tasteless and a mix grill for main - all of which was over cooked. Had no soup or steak pie - both things I wanted. Won’t be back.

Had the best breakfast today at Sidcot Arms, piping hot, tasty and plenty of it. we had continental and cooked with plenty of drinks, coffee and fruit juice, so much choice and service from a bubbly young lady. Would defiantly recommend, was 8.99 but well worth it. Staff very thorough with Covid-19 measures, wearing masks, keeping their distance and sanitising.

Four of us ate here while staying in the Premier before flying from Bristol airport. Reasonably busy for a Sunday night but my wife & me wanted the filled Yorkie but they could not find the gravy so ended up with a gammon which we both enjoyed. My friend & his wife , one had gammon & the other did not want a main course so had a double prawn cocktail which had been recommended unfortunately she did not enjoy as the salad was not that fresh & looked a little flat. Staff were good & friendly & covid regs being followed but mens toilets did not smell to good . Nice views over the somerset countryside from our table.

Booked a meal on Tuesday with my partner and the place is beautiful with extremely attentive and friendly staff.I had the lasagna which tasted delicious, my partner had the new big stack burger which he said was fantastic and was very well presented!!The restaurant was well signed and social distancing measures were being adhered too.Look forward to visiting again! We came at the end of September As group of boisterous bikers who love a good bit of banter. Tiffany and the others who were looking after us that weekend were brilliant, all got in for the banter, nothing was too much trouble and the staff were simply lovely. We had a brilliant experience and we wouldn’t hesitate to come back. As for the covid guidelines, they were followed and adhered to and the efficiency of cleaning the tables etc was excellent! Thankyou for making out experience an enjoyable one guys!

We were given absolute attention from the time of our arrival and throughout. The waitree Kate, attended to us throughout our stay and when the chef came into the restaurant he was equally as friendly at Kate.

What a wonderful little restaurant. Looks big and impressive from the road however the restaurant is actually very small so definitely need to book in advance. Although we had not booked and they where very busy being a Friday evening the manager kindly found us a table. We where told there was a little wait for food which under the current restrictions they are following is completely understandable and to be expected.All of the signage was well placed and clearly explained in order to keep everyone safe. It feels very different having full table service at a Brewers Fayre it certainly doesn't feel like a chain pub,but they have nailed it, it was excellent service in a safe environment. And the food was really nice and certainly didn't feel like a long wait. But then we where not in a hurry, we went out to enjoy our evening. So thank you to all the friendly staff here. We will definitely be back very soon.My advice would be leave room for dessert because the Eton Mess Sunday is absolutely amazing.

We always stay here before we fly to Spain, never disappointed with the service or food. After 2 cancelled holidays this year we finally managed to get away the restaurant looks bright and fresh with its new decor. Plenty of sanitiser and signs directing you where to go. The tables are all 2 metres apart instead of the standard 1+that a lot of restaurants use. Made us feel very safe. It was surprisingly still busy for this time of year. Food was lovely as always and delivered quickly.

Have just eaten here and while the quality of the food was poor, my biggest concern was the lack of compliance with current Covid precautions.Apparently staff who decline to wear masks are still used to interact closely with customers, which given that they are traveling table to table, blows a big hole in attempts to protect the public. I can only assume that duties away from customers (kitchen or otherwise) have not been considered or that the staff are just paid not to come in and infect people.In addition, there is no attempt to limit group size to 6 per table, when those there are clearly not from the same household and customers are (apparently) quite free to ignore the requirement to wear face coverings when not seated at their table to dine. If this is the level of hygiene practiced when on public view, then I shudder to think what happens out of sight. We’re I able to upload more than one photo to illustrate this debacle, I would.“Avoid like the plague” would seem to be a figurative and literal piece of advice.

Had a lovely breakfast this morning, freshly cooked and able to choose which items I wanted. Service was great and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend, great value for money with full English and continental for only £8.99 including hot and cold drinks. Won't be needing any lunch!

Sunday lunch was served fantastically! Our first meal as friends since lockdown and the place felt totally comfortable with the sign, and one way systems that are in place. We had the roast beef and the portions were generous and food was hot and well presented with thick gravy! We were served by Claire and Sarah and the chefs did a fantastic job by taking food to other tables as they were busy.Will definitely be returning cant rate highly enough good job guys.

My partner and I came in for Sunday lunch after a nice walk, at no time were we told of a wait on food but we were advised the kitchen had run out of cauliflower cheese.We ordered the mushroom soup to start which was lovely, no problem. We had a very long wait for our drinks and then an even longer wait for our main meal.After waiting 45 minutes for our lunches, my turkey arrived and my partners beef.I had 2 small pieces of turkey which were completely dried up. If they didn't have enough we should have been told at the start. I was offered gammon but thought for £9.99 a meal it was really poor quality and my partner said he couldn;t eat the beef as it was tough and just the ends.They obviously gave us the last pieces and didn't have enough,We paid for the drinks and soup but weren't paying for the main meals which just weren't up to scratch.I didn't like the attitude of one of the staff, they are obviously not used to anyone complaining and when we left, we heard someone else taking their meal back to the kitchen complaining.I just thought the whole place had gone downhill from when we started eating at the Sidcot Arms.

Went in on the 50% off Tuesday, me and my partner were greeted by the friendly GM Nicky. Our meals came out in good time and were hot and tasty. Recommend the burgers!! 😋

We stayed at the premier Inn linked to the sidcot arms and were booked in for breakfast both mornings. We also had an evening meal as well. They were absolutely brilliant! I am coeliac so require gluten free. They were so aware of this giving me an allergen list and checking ingredients was no trouble at all for them. The staff were so helpful and friendly. The safety procedures in place because of Covid were top notch and I was very impressed with their dedication. The food was delicious and came swiftly.Breakfast worked slightly differently because of Covid but you could still order what you wanted. Even though they were busy, their attentiveness was good and their care for diners was fabulous. When we visit the area again, we will definitely be going back!

Steven, Alex and seth plus all the kitchen staff were absolutely great didn't need to book table catered for a family of 12, the kitchen was just closing when we got there but they still catered for us all. Very friendly staff and great with the kids lovely place would highly recommend.

We have eaten out at a few different restaurants over the last few weeks and the Sidcot Arms was by far the best experience we have had. We phoned 40 minutes beforehand and were greeted with a super friendly voice who was very accomodating. When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised by the Covid information which was very visible. It's the safest place we have eaten. My only criticism would be that there isn't much choice for Gluten-free, but they cooked me exactly what I wanted. Steven was our host and all the staff were so welcoming. It was a very friendly atmosphere and reasonably priced. The toilets were one in, one out.

Staying at the Premier Inn for 3 nights we frequented the Sidcot Arms regularly for breakfast, dinner and drinks. It was fantastic and the staff could not have done anymore for us all. Clear one way system in place, sanitiser and being able to sit outside on the lovely balcony /sun terrace in the sunshine was a real bonus. The staff team here however really made our visit and were very attentive throughout. Thank you Virginia for making us giggle! We would definitely recommend a visit.

First time eating here on the way to the airport. Gotta say it was really nice food and very good value for money, well presented. Staff 100%, friendly and welcoming, the location is also nice as its set back from the main road. But my 5 stars go to the staff and their COVID measures. The staff really had a good handle on this, better than anywhere I have eaten recently. This alone means I would be back again like a shot. Thank you for restoring my faith in eating out.Will be back and would recommend

We were looking forward to re-visiting our favourite place to eat and went on their First day of opening since lockdown - we were not disappointed.Like a lot of people we were nervous about going out, we needn't have been, they have everything worked out really well and both my husband and I felt very safe. Plenty of hand sanitiser, one way system, one in one out toilet operation, table service and considering it was the first day of opening, all managed very professionally by all the staff.They are operating a limited menu at the moment, but there is something for everyone. Our food was cooked to perfection and empty plates handed back.Booked again for next week - looking forward to it.

This was our very first experience of eating/drinking since lockdown was eased. We were greeted by a very well informed manager after following all the floor directions to the desk to book in and sanitizer our hands.The atmosphere there was calm and we could see that all the staff had been COVID-19 trained very well.My husband thoroughly enjoyed his large mixed grill meal which was grilled as requested. I choose the vegan sloppy joe burger which was amazing too. The views from are table in the conservatory over the countryside were splendid.Staff very attentive and eager to please us both.Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area, we will be booking again soon.

We saw advertised their all day breakfast so decided on that for my sons birthday breakfast 13th March. We were the first customers to try this new menu option. I have to say it was delicious. Perfectly cooked. The sausages were premium and very meaty. The staff as always are so welcoming and so friendly. Highly recommend

Had the mixed grill upgrade and my wife had the pie very tasty and brilliant value for money, served quickly. The staff there are all very nice and friendly very helpful. Will definitely return highly recommend a visit.

stayed here on 2nd March had lovely food in the evening and staff very helpful and pleasant, Breakfast in the morning was served by Tiffany she went above and beyond to help another guest i could hear struggling to book a room, nothing was too much really and always had a smile on her face so 10/10 for service. the breakfast was lovely, would fully recommend this place!

Staying here again before early morning flight, and as always the food and service was excellent. We will be back next month on our return journey.

With our family staying in the Premier inn we had a wonderful meal in the restaurant Friday night followed up with a delicious hot breakfast on Saturday morning. What a lovely restaurant and hotel when the breakfast lady got too busy all the premier worker just appeared and helped her serve us all. We will definitely be back. It’s such a beautiful location and setting.

On a very busy Friday night we made the mistake of not booking a table but they kindly found us a table in the bar, which was lovely and cosy, staff very friendly and helpful food was lovely hot and well presented. We did have a small wait which was not surprising considering how busy. Highly recommend this restaurant. Only 10 mins from Airport and motorway. Ideal location.

We have been using the Sidcot for almost 20 years and I have to say that it really has gone down hill. We first noticed when the management team had retired last year. Each time we have been the service gets slower and slower and tonight we waited 1 hour for our food to come to the table. When we ordered we were not advised there would be any delay and you could clearly see the staff were virtually running from the kitchen to the tables as numerous people were complaining. The restaurant was busy but that is no excuse as they should have known Friday dinner time at half term holidays would be busy and have the correct number of staff.You could argue that the food is cheap if you have the special menu but in all honesty it is pretty poor quality.This is not a one off and we have decided to give it a miss now as each time we leave we say we are not going there again.

Popped in for a lunch prior to a flight. When we arrived they were still hoovering and cleaning, we were nearly tripped over by Henry hoover. Seated in conservatory in corner. V cold. Seat covers saggy and worn and curtains in conservatory mouldy and soggy with damp. Party who were seated after us included a older couple of which one tripped down the step (there’s no sign or warning of said step) and fell onto her side into the unit. Staff were v slow to respond to incident. Coke from a bottle was totallyFlat. went up to place our orders, Asked a young chap if I could place a food order. He walked in other direction. Eventually a young girl took our order. Requested steaks were rare and chef even came out to check how rare we wanted which was good. Four basic starters between five of us very slow to arrive and cold. Sat for another 45mins after starters to have plates cleared for mains. ( it was not busy!!!) Mains ok, plates cold and dirty under neath. Cutlery missing from starters not replaced. Smothered chicken very tough and chewy. Peas raw. Chips standard pub chips. Steak portions small but cooked how we wanted. Toilet in female toilets leaking which had made the floor wet in allCubicles. We were keen for dessert having seen the menu but having sat for another half hour with empty main plates not cleared we went and settled the bill and left. Won’t be returning in a hurry

2nd time visiting The Sidcott Arms , again, couldn’t fault service or food. Polite friendly staff, food was quick and tasty. I definitely recommend to friends heading this way.

After dining here for our family Christmas meal in December which was brilliant, we have decided to make this a regular eatery and we were not disappointed the food was lovely fresh and hot. And with 2 meals for £8.99 the value is unbeatable. The team are friendly and helpful and the manager helped us out with my wife allergies. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Inedible food poor quality service.staff and manager rude .If your looking for a stop over before flying Bristol airport don’t bother . We travelled straight from work ready for a flight early am went for dinner as we always do at premier inn and it spoiled the whole start of our break

Came over with my partner for our anniversary to celebrate. We had great time, lovley atmosphere . We had really nice food . My partner had chicken burger and I had chicken curry! Definitely come back again! 10/10.

Not very good. Ordered a chicken burger and had to wait 30 minutes just to receive a single breaded chicken breast in a huge burger bun! Then had to wait 40 minutes for dessert which never even arrived! Very low on staff also. However, the refillable drinks with different flavours were good. In conclusion, I would not recommend this restaurant to anybody.

We visited on Thursday was very busy we were seated by lovely blonde hair lady was told that there would be a little delay with food but as could see the restaurant was very busy we understand a nice young man brought out food made sure we had everything we needed the food was great. Then as we finished we were asked if wanted deserts and drinks. We had deserts they was great the young lady checked on us again and made us feel very welcome. Would like to thank them for making our night we will be back again very soon as now we live in winscombe

Had breakfast here on Monday the 3rd after having a party the night before. Food is cooked freshly to order which was nice as food was tasty and hot. Staff was warm and friendly just like the premier inn staff. Would stay here again.

Came here for breakfast and with it being a brewers fayre i didnt expect much. but it was so lovely! large selection of food and pastries, the hot food was hot and can tell it was freshly cooked. all you can eat too, will return. best brewers fayre ive been too

If you want a filling delicious breakfast before /after flying stop here. 15 mins down the road from the airport. Very large selection - the cooked breakfast( cooked to order and picking exactly what you would like on your plate). Pancakes & crumpets to heat up, pastries, fresh fruit, fruit juices and hot drinks. £9.50 each, great value, highly recommended, we will definitely be back!

We had a lovely Christmas meal with the family.looked after us so well.so we went again today and it was lovely staff and was very good so cosy and warm .would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Food was average, I had smothered chicken which I found a little greasy my partner had a salad which she enjoyed, the staff weren’t over friendly and could do with being a bit more welcoming if they want return custom, I personally wouldn’t go again.

The restaurant was very nice, clean and friendly, the meal was very tasty and nicely presented but the service was very slow! Our table was booked for 6pm, there were no staff to greet us or show us to our table, after checking in at the bar we were shown to our table but waited a long while for our starter, after a very long wait for our main meal we enquired at the bar as to how much longer we would have to wait, shortly after it was brought to our table, nicely presented and hot but very disappointed with the wait, we did not bother with a desert. We left the restaurant at 9.15pm. Could not quite understand why the service was so slow as when we arrived it was actually not very busy.

What a fantastic afternoon we had. The food and service was exceptional. The roast turkey was great and I think everyone enjoyed the giant Yorkshire puds !. Thank you to staff for such a wonderful afternoon. I’m sure we will return in 2020.

Family of 10 fitted in at 1 hour's notice on Boxing Day early evening. Very friendly & helpful staff. Food was good & generous portions but some dishes weren't available due to having been a busy day. Nice ambiance & comfortable seating arrangements. Will go back again.

Visited Sidcot arms, all ordered off festive menu. I had the hog roast bites, followed by roast turkey and after eight Sunday for desert. All was delicious, staff were friendly, went above and beyond to help your needs. Was quick to get food out.

Stayed in the adjoining Premier Inn and I could not rate this place highly enough. Staff were all friendly, helpful and approachable. Food was delicious and served quickly.

4 of us went out for a xmas meal last night. The food was good for all 3 courses £14.49 and a pleasant rose' wine for 13.99 a bottle. Plenty of free parking spaces and a warm welcome. Only one person behind the bar was not enough for how busy it was but they kept up the service with a smile. Virginia who showed us to our table was very pleasant and kept checking everything was ok with our food and service.

First visit since the change of management to find Nickie and her team providing an excellent welcome. All of my party of five thoroughly enjoyed our two course meals. The festive fare ordered was plentiful and well presented and the value for money excellent. The Sidcot, as always, was decorated for Christmas most tastefully.

We came for a family meal on Friday, the restaurant was extremely busy. We were forewarned there might be a wait for food as it was so busy. this was not a problem as we sat having a drink and chatting. the food arrived at our table within half an hour, Hot and tasty, the server was polite and friendly, making sure we had all we needed. Ordered desserts after which were delicious.

Had a lovely evening at Sidcot Arms on Friday, family get together which doesn't happen that often! Visiting from Wales and Cornwall. Lovely area seperated off for us, everyone enjoyed their food and plenty of drinks. Thank you Sidcot

Went for a meal with a group of friends, food and service was quick. Good value for money. Staff were incredibly friendly and the pub has a very warm feeling about it. Would highly recommend.

Lovely atmosphere brilliant service and great food. We went as a group and we were treated well from the moment we walked in the door to the moment the taxi arrived. Festive fare menu was good value and plentiful. Thanks to everyone.

We came over on tuesday for evening meal.. we had starters and mains. They food was great, nice and fresh my partner had Festive menu she loved it! Definitely We come back again!

Visited for lunch today. Staff helpful but took 45 minutes to deliver our meal. The chicken forestiere had what can only be described as mushroom sludge.

I can only assume this pub has changed hands since I was last there as it was nothing like my last visit. It started badly as we had to wait at the front of the queue to be shown to our booked table for over 5 minutes because the staff were too busy talking to each other to notice us. When we were finally taken to our table, it was in the large conservatory which was extremely chilly, to the extent that some of us had to eat with our coats still on. It took nearly an hour for our main course to arrive after ordering, and the three of us who opted for roast dinners had to leave most of the roast potatoes as they were unbearably salty, and the meat was somewhat dry. The starters (which turned up a good 40 minutes before the main course) and puddings were however lovely. As this was a birthday meal for one of our party, chosen based on wonderful meals enjoyed in the past, we were extremely disappointed with today's visit.

Have been here loads of times & always had good meals but will never go again, Xmas meal terrible,booked & placed meal orders in September, on arrival was told some starters were sold out & no cranberry sauce. Waited over 30mins for starter then over 30mins for main, Aunt Bessie style roast potatoes, solid sprouts, packet style Turkey, 15mins for puddings then only some came out so most of us were finished! No toilet roll in loo even after they were told about it,had to request again, girl serving just reached in front of me to get plates several times,she had a terrible attitude as if she didn't want to be there & didn't give a dam. Such a shame it's gone so bad.

Good tasty food with good portion size....prices are reasonable and we had 2 for 1 vouchers so better still. Was busy on the 2 occasions we visited but didn't have to wait long for food to come out....

Had a lovely Sunday roast here today, was very busy but did not take long to get our meals. Polite cheerful staff. Will visit again.
