The best restaurants in Mendip South West

I booked for a party of 10 people, we were asked to pre order, which I fully understand. Some of our party did change their order once we were there, this was done with out any hassle. we were all addressed by our names which was amazing as I can't sometime remember my own lol. The food was the best I'd had in a long time, excellently presented and also the flavours define. Everyone should give this small restaurant a try, If I lived closer then I would use it frequently. The only thing I would say, it doesn't stand out in the street, and in such a competitive high street full of eating places it needs something to draw people off the street. Well done guys, hopefully see you next year if we go to Twinwood.

Popped in for a couple of pizzas and drinks - lovely staff serving homemade pizzas. Best we've had for years. Mainly take-away trade but they have a few tables. Look forward to going back soon.

We had asked Lungi Baba's to cook a feast for my mum's birthday at our house for 16 people and we were treated to an absolute glorious dinner - fantastic food with a selection of beautiful dishes and chutneys. Very straightforward to organise and it was picked up from The Station approach in steel containers. It was clear the food is cooked with love and thought - the perfect addition to a wonderful party. Thank you Lungi Babas!

Excellent its a gluten free haven, called in as read on line that's its good for gluten free and we were not dissapointed it's brilliant. We had a really good lunch and my wife's gluten free lunch was really good. Service was excellent, we were warmly greated as soon as we walked in and told there was a table free upstairs a d the young ladies that served us were really pleasent and looked after us. Great food, great service

Excellent community cafe with very affordable meals to eat in or take away. Home cooked food with teas & coffees at great prices. Very friendly atmosphere. Benefit advice. This cafe has been running for over 15 years on the corner of Trinity St & Selwood Rd. Open Tuesday to Thursday 11am to 1:30pm.

This has got to be the most tastiest lunch I have had. Waffles and buttermilk chicken is just lush!!!!!!!

What a find this was. An excellent cafe with a full and varied menu at reasonable prices. Plenty of homemade and local produce. We both tried quiche, there were 3 veggie ones to choose from. Served with homemade coleslaw and potato salad and the freshest green salad I've had in a long time. Highly recommended.

Éramos un grupo de cuatro mujeres, habíamos estado haciendo todo lo que pudimos en nuestro día completo en Glastonbury, así que habíamos subido el Tor, a la Primavera Blanca y los Jardines del Cáliz... ¡necesitábamos algo de refresco! El hombre y la mujer que nos atendió eran amables y acogedores, la gama de tés y bebidas era buena y, aunque no teníamos pastel, los pasteles que se ofrecen se veían realmente deliciosos. Nos sentamos en el patio para tomar nuestros tés, la zona estaba limpia, luminosa y espaciosa. Estábamos al final del día y bastante agotados de lo contrario me hubiera gustado visitar el museo también ... la próxima vez!

Freshly baked bread, and great sandwiches. We also had a couple of freshly made juices which were really nice. Allison, the owner is very chatty and friendly. Well recommended.

One of the best meals we’ve ever had… and a 2 min walk away from home! We’ll definitely be making this a monthly treat. Unfortunately no photos… we were too excited to eat. The smells had us at first whiff.

It was a very positive experience visiting this Turkish restaurant for dinner. I would like highlight to following points: 1) the lamb shish had a really great taste and texture. The bread was nice. The sauces were very tasty. 2) as a tourist, the food here had amazing value for money 3) the service we received was phenomenal. The lady was very kind and attentive throughout. 4) good location, close to the station. The rice, however, did not stand out as much as other aspects. Nonetheless we were very grateful we decided to visit this restaurant, would highly recommend.

We had a great lunch on Saturday with family, including our 4 year old daughter. The staff were so friendly and attentive and the food was delicious! They’d only just recovered from a power cut and still had no signal but handled it calmly & professionally. The decor is really pretty and cosy too. We would absolutely recommend and will be back next time we visit :-)

I visited Wednesday with my pugs and ordered a massaman curry it was beautiful. The rice was sticky and yummy and the curry was divine will be back for lunch again today. The lady who owns the buisnessn is very friendly aswell i like when you find good service. Highly recommended if you are out in the market if not why not go there get thai food people 😋 😀 😉
