The best restaurants in Shepton East Mendip South West

What a great find. We really loved Aurora Kusina. The food was delicious, and a friendly atmosphere. We will visit again when next in Shepton Mallet.

We love this place. We pop in often for milk refills, bread or sandwiches. Craig is very helpful and you can tell its a passion for him. We went for lunch today and enjoyed a lovely meat and cheese platter as part of a good food promotion. Food and drink both very nice and we had a great time.

We received a warm welcome as we entered this quaint cafe. There is a small menu & we enjoyed homemade quiche, panini & an amazing home made Bakewell Tart. We were on holiday but if we were locals we’d be here too often! So much nicer than a run of the mill cafe. May they have continued success.

Fabulous restaurant. Staff incredible. Owners welcoming. Food always of a very high standard. So sad they are closing on 16th December.

Great decor friendly & vibe. Disappointingly it was let down by staff who seemed unfamiliar with drinks, reluctance to serve and then overcharged.I would like to try again in the future though.

Went for craft club on Wednesday, very enjoyable

Every dish was perfect from crab cake starters to creme Brûlées. Our family table of six had three different choices of mains, salmon, chicken and venison. Every plate was perfect, with tasty sauces, jus, creamy leeks and lemon butter sauce with the fish. We all had desserts and wine too. This is how restaurants should be, great service, no rush and absolutely stunning food.

Always freshly cooked and great value.

Wonderful menu with pub classics done to perfection as well as creative gastropub offerings. The cottage pie was amazing, with a side of roasted cabbage, carrot, paranips, and a sweet potato mousse. The risotto was tempting. The loaded fries were fun. Great drink selection. Lovely setting with a peaceful ambience. Easy parking. Highly recommend.

It was tasty but missing prosciutto around the chicken.. not worth £19.50 for chicken and chips
