The best restaurants in Priory Exeter South West

Just had the egg on toast and a coffee. Well worth a pop in . Parking a bit tight.

Only reason for 4 stars is that I don't go there enough. Great Garden with play areas for the youngsters. Plenty of parking. Easy access from a walk along the river/canal. Great selection of food and hearty portions. Really nice bunch working there, always welcoming and smiley. Dog friendly too. 👌

We were given a voucher for a 3 course Sunday lunch with a 175ml glass of house wine as a gift when we got married. We booked for 1pm but arrived a bit early and we're seated straight away. The service was great and the food was excellent.we had a lovely time. The staff were really friendly.

Rainbow is amazing! Delicious food, full of flavour, and fresh ingredients. Noodles are perfect, veg is crisp. Big portions, great value (£10–20). Quick, polite service. Easy to find, clean place. Highly recommend for Chinese takeaway!

Good visit yesterday for lunch. Friendly local eating place., obviously lots of regular customers. Great scones! Spare extra seating outside for the summer!

Not as good as it was The Chinese curry sauce they do definitely ain't the same.

12 of us went for a family birthday and the staff were brilliant. Lovely pub and the food was delicious it all came out together and piping hot. Lovely atmosphere and great pub. A must go.

Waited twenty minutes to be seated and wasn’t even acknowledged by a member of staff. Then was told I needed to go to the bar as I didn’t have a booking. Nowhere on the website or any notifications where the sign is asking you to wait to be seated does it say that if you don’t have a booking you need to go into the bar. However, whilst I was stood there, I did hear several couples complaining that they had been waiting over an hour and 20 minutes for their food so decided a takeaway was probably my best option. I would advise you do the same and avoid this restaurant as it seems only a lucky few get service

Can't speak for the Chinese but don't bother with chippy side. Although cooked to order the chips were floppy, sausages anaemic and the chicken so dry I could barely swallow it!

Pink chicken and the it’s cold burnt and bad staff

Produce bins of plastic waste by making their espresso from single use coffee pods. By grinding fresh beans they could serve better coffee and reduce their waste.

Bought beef with vegetables. Taste and quality of food are excellent but the quantity of beef was negligible in the plate with two thin tiny slices. My request for at least giving me some reasonable portion was declined straight away.
