Best toasted cheese and ham sandwich I’ve eaten in years. Well done, was completely different to any I’ve eaten before and that’s a lot

My wife and I eat here on a weekly basis usually at weekends however yesterday 21/09 I was a little shocked to say the least when I asked for fried bread, to be told "That's extra you know", when I regularly spend the guts of £30 on two breakfasts at this very establishment for one to request fried bread (Usually part of a fried breakfast) . The food here is of excellent quality but to charge extra for a normal fry up ingredient just seems to be a trifle uncalled for. It was also quite obvious who would be cooking the breakfast as the face on the server would have soured milk. having sent a photo of said hearty breakfast to my mother ,she requested that we take her there which we will do but as access to W.C facilites may present a problem as my mother walks with a frame we may reconsider.

I come here once a month for a private breakfast club gathering. Excellent friendly service who join in the banter of the customers. A great selection of cooked breakfast items and plenty of it, along with refills of hot drinks. If this is the service and standard of food for breakfast then the normal meals must be good! Thank you

Have used Woogies a few times before and wanted to give it a go in their new premises. We were a party of six for wife's birthday and starters, drinks went well. Then the mains. My Father in law and myself ordered a 10oz gammon steak and received a slice of ham! Apparently this is excess meat used after the Sunday roast day. Not what we ordered though. Bit naughty of the restaurant to do that. Son had katsu chicken and the sauce was really powdery, the chicken ok but the grease in the batter was horrendous. Wife and mother in law had steak that had a really horrible greasy film. I understand it had garlic butter however, that was just nasty. Also ordered salad which didn't come. Daughter had butter chicken burger which again was greasy. The chips on all dishes were so overcooked as to be inedible. Was offered a free dessert and maybe a discount on the mains. Three cookie doughs were great, one strawberry crumble excellent and sadly two tiramisu both gone off. We still paid £200 for the catastrophic meal and unfortunately rather than deal with the complaint so as hopefully not to happen again my wife was blocked from the Facebook page etc. Sad time really as local business needs folk especially during the quieter winter. Well you live and learn.

Not great, driver couldn't make it to the right address so it took about half hour to give him directions over the phone. And the food....well, whoever cooked it loves to put massive chunks of chilli into everything. We had 2 dishes and soup. It all had the same taste. Wouldn't order again.

We were having a holiday in the area and found about about Woogies from an internet search. The reviews were mixed but we were very pleased with the food and the service. We learnt that the restaurant was previously a pub and has recently changed hands. Inside it looks clean and fresh and has nice wooden tables. The menu is varied and has classic dishes and more foodie-type dishes and both are presented with an original twist. The portions are generous. There is also a list of dishes for those with smaller appetites which is a very good idea, especially for the elderly. There are high tables where a drink could be had and perhaps a dish of olives, so Woogies is not restricted to diners. The young staff were polite and friendly. The lavatories were clean and bright. It was overall a most enoyable experience.

One of the best bakeries around. The pasties and pies are always of the best quality and very tasty indeed

Absolutely one of the best breakfasts I had, lovely, friendly service, didn’t wait long and it was hot. And I didn’t feel out of place for going in own my own. Certainly can’t do that in some places.

We stopped using Spice Aroma about 3 years ago over an incident where our food delivery was really late and the majority of the food had gone cold. We rang up to complain and ask for some food to be replaced. We were spoken to like absolute garbage with no apology or explanation. Eventually we were given some fresh chips and nothing else, these took a long time to be sent back out to us. We swore we would never use them again. However today we decided to give Spice Aroma another chance as choices in Torpoint are limited when it comes to takeaway. We rang up to place the order at 5pm for delivery. We were told the delivery driver doesn't start until 6pm but our food would be delivered shortly after this time, fair enough at least they made us aware. 6.35pm came and still no sign of food so we rung up to see where it was. We were swiftly handed over to who we assumed was the manager or owner, who proceeded to speak to us extremely rudely and abruptly. We were given an ultimatem, either accept the food when it turns up or have a refund. We had no apology, no explanation, they didn't say they would chase the order. His attitude and manner was disgusting. We were fuming and in two minds what to do. Anyway, the food did turn up and was 'warm-ish', some food was overcooked and burnt on the bottom. In hindsight perhaps we should have taken the food back. We chose to resist ringing back up, or going down to return the food as it would have led to tempers being lost! This time we will have definitely decided to never ever use Spice Aroma again! Customer service alone is 0/10. Leason finally learn. Overall, poor customer service, ridiculously long delivery times, expensive and the food has gone very average. Please do not use them and don't be disappointed.

Good for football and good bartenders but for nights out just not good. The dj plays the same playlist every weekend and doesn't listen to anyone's recomendation for songs. The dancefloor is usually empty except new years.

Had the nut roast from the carvery and was very impressed. It was one of the nicest nut roasts I've had. All the group enjoyed the food from the carvery. Very reasonably priced too. We will definitely go there again. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating so ideal whatever the weather.
