The tikka Masala is to die for. Love this place. You would think being the only Indian restaurant in the area, they could charge what they want and produce poor food but they do not. They are reasonably priced and the food is soooo good. Cannot wait to have another curry.

We used to be regular customers, but sadly we had such a bad experience we will never order from them again. We ordered takeaway and we received an email confirmation from them timestamped 6:22pm stating it would be ready at 7:12pm. It never arrived. At 7:54pm I called them. At first I was told there had been a mistake and the driver was on his way and would be with me very soon. I called again at 8:17pm and was told they hadn’t actually bothered to check where he was, they had no idea where he might be or how long he would be. I told them to call the driver and get his location and call me back, but they didn’t. I called again at 8:23pm and was told he was in Anthony and we were his next stop, which is a 15 minute drive away. Each time it turned out to be untrue. It got later and later. I had two small children who had to stay up late past their bedtime with no food and were hungry. At 8:44pm I called again and I asked to speak to the manager. He told me the driver had to go to lots of other customers first and we would be the last stop, contradicting again what I was previously told. The manager, who is also the owner, kept threatening to cancel the order because I had complained, and leave us and my children with no food at all. Eventually the food did arrive at 9pm with a timestamped receipt showing 6:24pm, over 2 and half hours after ordering and nearly 2 hours later than the 7:12pm delivery they promised in their original email confirmation. The driver was lovely. But the dispatch staff repeatedly gave me incorrect information. The owner rather than apologising and learning how he could improve his systems told me it was my wife’s fault because she must have pressed the wrong button, despite email evidence to the contrary. And instead of being apologetic and accepting responsibility he chose to be rude and aggressive. Shockingly bad attitude towards customer service.

We ordered 3 different meals and each of us later that night ended up with food poisoning. Still suffering 4 days later. I will never eat here again…

Ordered a delivery. Waited 1hr and a half. Then all the food was Luke warm. Never going to spend my money again with this over priced food. Had about 6 prawns in my food. Totally disappointed.

If you are gluten free don't go here.... As the owner has said he won't be doing any more gluten free..... We have had curry here many times it has been very nice, but this time the Curry was very watery, (delivery) so I took the curry back to ask it to be re made, VERY rude owner, he said as it is gluten free this is why it is full of water. And that is how it is.... I mentioned that it has never been like this before. I asked if he has any corn flour or anything to bulk it out with he said no. He mentioned he can't do gluten free as they have not got the time to keep stiring the curry.... 🤔🤔.... Wile I was there he was rude to his daughter and staff saying no more gluten free dishes to be ordered. And that nothing on the menu is gluten free anymore. He was also rude talking to staff about me in the kitchen, his daughter had to go into the kitchen and tell them we could hear them..... Rude and can not accommodate the local community that pays his Bill's....

Staff were horrible! They were very moody and didn’t care and took my order in wrong… so disappointed with them for not getting the order correct, last time I came food was immaculate but now it’s just gone downhill.

Read to the end.....The owner threatened to punch me then didn't like the consequences. I ordered food over the phone with a young girl at 7.30pm. advised I would like to order the set menu for two for 8.30pm. Made it very clear to her on a few occasions I did not want the food before 8.30pm so not to rush the delivery as my partner was not home from work until 8.30. Food was delivered at 8.05 by a very friendly delivery driver, he was very accommodating and advised me he would take it back. Mentioned he had to go back to the restaurant and then had deliveries in Millbrook so you don't have to be genius to work out he wouldn't be back for 8.30. Called the restaurant to advise what had happened and the girl was very short with me and hung up on me. She then tried to tell the kitchen I had ordered the food for 8pm 🙄. I decided to go up to the shop to advise I would collect and advise of the mix up the restaurant had made. I was met with a further attitude from the young girl but nothing compared to the owner. He advised me he would heat my food back up (now 8.35pm and it had already been cooked, packaged, put in a delivery car and arrived at my house for 8.05) which I advised I was not happy with. I requested my money back or fresh food which set the owner off shouting telling me to get out his restaurant. I advised I wasn't leaving until I got one of the two options, he recoiled as if he was going to punch me then I was surrounded by 8 staff from the kitchen all screaming at me. I refused to leave and he told me he was phoning the police which I was happy about, despite this being a civil matter not a criminal one. Shockingly the police never arrived, not that I’m suggesting he pretended to call them... The head chef tried to talk to me nicely to advise I wasn't getting my money back or fresh food. In the end after about 30 minutes of pointless arguing he the Chef agreed to cook my food again as I didn't bow down to this scamming owner. He took no more than 5 minutes to supposedly re-cook our set meal for two from scratch. Got home to find the salad bag a pile of mush and the curry dishes nuclear, clearly just been bunged back in the microwave. Naan was as dry as the Sahara as was the onion bhaji's. Steer clear of these crooks, the owner does not deserve to be in business. Korma and Madras was just a container of juice with a couple bits of chicken which all went in the bin. I will be supporting all the good takeaways in Torpoint, you should too.

Delicious food, friendly service, freshly cooked food, good selection of wine reasonably priced. Lovely friendly waiter. Great ambiance. Good value circa €30 per person, poppadums with dips served beforehand gratis. A great evening all round. We weren’t rushed - very relaxed. New owners - give it s try! You won’t regret it.

Can't even deliver the right food to the right address and then really rude on the phone

Absolutely shocking service! Waited over 2 hours for our delivery! One starter was missing, had to heat food in microwave!called restaurant and the owner shouted at me talked to me like rubbish accusing me of lying as he swore he packed starter! He didn’t and was very unprofessional on the phone. You don’t expect to spend £78 on food to be microwaved! Avoid this place like the plaque owner has a horrid chip on his shoulder!

We've eaten here multiple times and absolutely love it. Great for takeaway, but also excellent for eating in. Great service and friendly staff. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

The worst chicken Malaya have ever had. The sauce looked like custard. I had the extra excitement of a whole hard boied egg added. I dont like egg!..... And the worst peshwari naan also. Used to use them on a regular basis. Finances dont allow it now. So wish had just had fish & chips for my treat.

Just had what was described as chicken curry. Reconstituted chicken in what can only described as brown tasteless slop. Would eat there again even if it was the only place on earth

Spent £65 on what should have been Indian food. Food tasted like uncle bens or tin curry. I have spent years living in India and Thailand and the food nerver tasted anything like this. Not Authentic in any way. Sorry

We came upon this restaurant after a day’s sailing. Fantastic curry. Mine was a little too hot and they immediately replaced it with a slightly milder one quite happily. Everyone had a fabulous meal

My dad and I have come here three times and the staff have always been absolutely lovely; especially Momtaj :) . This was basically my first introduction to Indian food and she has always been super patient with me and explained dishes to me that I have been unsure about. This place is amazing and more people who live in/come through Torpoint should definitely give this place a shot!

Been here a few times over the years and have found the food poor so tended to avoid and use millbrook instead. But Saturday could not be bothered driving and ordered here. I was more than pleasantly surprised really good quality food. Very helpful young lady took the order and presented food to me. It was 5 mins early than advised for pick up. Has the restaurant changed hands? The current team can cook and get great flavour and the right spicy heat. Fingers crossed this is the new standard level.

Ordered a very large order waited almost 2 hours and still no food when I called the restaurant the manager/assistant was downright rude and abusive . Then they argued why I wanted a refund and wouldnt even apologise and that was after putting the phone down on me twice. DEFINITELY ONE TO AVOID HAVE RATED 1 STAR BECAUSE IT WOULDNT LET ME GIVE NONE

Been ordering food from this place with the family several times. The food was ok, but today we got some disgusting information: As a vegan, I always check the place and ask specifically if they have any vegan options / can change the ingredients to make a dish vegan. They have always said yes, and it even says on their webpage that they can do the vegetarian dishes vegan. However, today we called and asked if we could get a dish we have ordered a couple of times vegan. The manager, was on the phone and said that it was not possible, and no other than a water-based vegetable curry and plain rice could be made vegan. I got very confused and told him that we had ordered several times and that the other dishes had been made vegan for me, with their assurance that it was vegan friendly. We ordered the only option the manager ment was vegan and went to collect the food. When we arrived I kindly asked what the ingredients where in the vegetable dishes that were not vegan, and he just avoided my question and started babling about cream, coconut cream, sugar and other things. I had to repeat myself and add that if the recipes did not have anything derived from an animal, it would be ok. He said that all the dishes included ghee, dairy cream and such, and that they never made the vegetable dishes vegan. I was at that point disgusted by that they had told me all the times earlier that the food I had ordered was vegan, but was in fact, not. He continued with saying that there was also cross contamination, because they used the same spoons in all the dishes, without washing them properly (which is a health and safety alert!). I will give everyone a warning and say that anything you order at this place will not be vegan, or even vegetarian, if what the manager said, is true. Any allergies would also be a big problem here. I will not order food from this place anymore.

Ordered a delivery and waited over 2 hours for the food to arrive despite calling several times to enquire where it was. The manager was rude and didn't even apoligise. When the food was finally delivered it was tasteless. It was the most disgusting curry I'd ever tried. Never again!

Really nice curry house, bags of flavour & not too oily.

Bought prawn biriyani, hardly can say its a biriyani as its tasteless.Same goes for Persian Chikkan briyani and Chikkan biriyani also. Chicken pokkoda dam saltty.

Check your order. Average food, quite reasonably priced but they missed a lot of food off my large takeaway order for 7 people, and never even apologised. They get away with it because there is only little choice in the area. Check the bag before you leave.

Just ordered a takeaway the food was not very nice. The Bhindi Bhaji side dish was good. Lamb Passanda was too sweet and they don't know what a Garlic Chilli chicken curry is.

Great takeaway, can always tell a good curry when you can taste the spices and it still has a heat to it. Often it’s one or the other but not here. The nan bread was amazing ended up eating half of it on its own as it was so tasty and fresh

The best Indians I have had in a long time. I am originally from Sunderland but visited Torpoint for my brother’s passing out parade and when searching google for recommended places this came up. I love Indians and it is my favourite cuisine so out of all of the Indian restaurants I have tried I would recommend this to anyone who either lives in Torpoint or recently moved there and looking for somewhere new to go or anyone visiting! Absolutely amazing. (P.s. try the green dipping sauce with the poppadoms!They say it’s a secret recipe and I can see why it’s beautiful!)

Popped in here as staying at the local b and b. They don't sell alcohol but you can take your own and there is a spar next door. Don't charge for courage which is good.Food was fantastic and the peshwari nan one of the nicest I have ever had. Hunny had thier special which was a curry with massive shell on prawns in it, but they tell you first just in case you are not keen but it was fab. Staff were really lovely and friendly . Recommend .

Fantastic place, the food is clearly cooked fresh and the staff are knowledgable and happy to offer suggestions. Very reasonable pricing across the board, and has a bring your own alcohol policy which is no problem at all with a shop next door.

Tonight, first Friday in May, came as a four, earlyish, brought our own, had a first rate meal, hearty, tasty and we each paid about £20 which we all felt was good value. Bit surprised that when we left (by bus from right outside the curry shed) we had been the only customers all evening, although there was a very busy continuous stream of takeaway trade, all evening. Friendly, quick, attentive staff. Very happy to recommend. Bus took us back, across the ferry, to Royal Parade. Slick, laid back, enjoyable evening.

I worked here Was sacked without being paid what i was owed I was punched by a worker when he asked me to leave, he puts all his receipts in a blender everynight to avoid tax All rice and starters are microwaved And enjoy your food!

I have had one good meal at this restaurant. Their cheapest set meal which was reasonably priced and tasty. It was irritating that there was a large debit card surcharge, in this day and age! My brother and I visited again a month later, and all the prawns in his biryani were still in their shells! It took him a long time to remove them. I risked another meal and found a shirt button in my curry! I really do not recommend this place. Torpoint really needs some decent restaurants!

Delivery charge is £6 . We were staying just under 5 miles away . Food arrived hot and tasty o the 2 occassions we ordered whilst on holiday in the area . No complaints whatsoever. 1st time was a Friday night food was about an hour and a half arriving , 2nd time was mid week and it was an hour , so just allow penty of time and ring early

Overall the food was good. We had a lamb masala which could have been better as the lamb was a little tough and cut into strips. Everything else we had was good especially the chicken shashlik. We also enjoyed the nan bread. The place was empty but we did have to wait a long time for the food and to be served. I think they were busy with take aways. Prices were reasonable.

I have tried many takeaways, but non has ever beaten spice aroma. I have never found another one that makes Shahi Chicken and sag paneer in the same way with the melted cheese. Order is always ready when they say it will be and never had any issues.

Had a takeaway here and was really impressed with the speed of service and the sizes of the main courses. Would recommend if you are in the area on a holiday and need a takeaway.

Food was lovely, full of flavour and ready at the agreed collection time. Would have thought an order big enough for 11 people would of had some free poppadoms, most Indians do that

I can honestly say that was the best ceylon curry I've ever had... My partner had the garlic chicken and loved it too ... Customer service was excellent - friendly waiter and waitress staff and everywhere was spotless ... We'll be visiting again soon !!! Absolutely brilliant - Thank you to the Spice Aroma team ... Phoned for an order, ask if they deliver to my location five mins away in a car, I currently don't have one. Yes the guy says, so I place my order then he's like, it's not 15.00 pounds so we won't deliver. I asked if I could pay a delivery charge and he mumbled something about the driver taking a percentage, I asked what it was and that I could pay that and he just said he didn't know and said I would have to cancel my order. RUDE

Ordered two curry dishes from this takeaway, totally above standard taste and quality, also delivered promptly and on time, would highly recommend!

Would recommended for amazing food and service. We had chicken chatt on puri and option bhajis followed by tikka masala,murug makhini,tandoori garlic chicken and tikka bryant. Couldnt eat all of it and will be going back soon

Rude, awful food, this is not Indian food, nip down to sainsburys spend £3 and I can guarantee it will be considerably better than Spice Aromas over priced, tasteless, sugary rubbish

Having attended Raleigh for my sons passing out parade we were looking for a quality meal to finish the day, we found it in this certificate of excellence awarded restaurant.

Me and my wife karen ordered a nawabi jalfrezi and a chicken tikka mossala. And i have to say it the best ive ever tasted.. filled with various flavours leaving a great taste, i literally will order this again and again. Brilliant service and thank you to all the staff.

This has become a real favourite, which is not easy when you lived in Birmingham and had your choice of Indian restaurants to choose from.

We order from this place 3-4 times a month each time £30 plus the curries are Madras and jalfrezi vindaloo hot this occasion both curries were bland and had no heat or strength,so we called up and spoke to the manager who said as he had no drivers he couldn't replace and to call back at a later fate,we have just called up and tried to order to be told I didn't say that and became very rude.

Love this takeaway, great chicken madras and sheek kebabs.

Rather mixed bag here to be honest. Portion sizes for the same starters can be different. The mains....are ok, but the amount of meat in them was disappointing. Under no circumstance ask for a non-curry choice. Chicken nuggets and chips, seemed to be micro chips and pieces of fried chicken....not breaded. They do not have a alcohol license, however even soft drinks came flat. Im not sure if this place as a take away is better, but as a restaurant it is quite poor and probably not worth a visit.

I would like to thank the staff for a wonderful meal I personally have never eaten so much meat in all my life. I especially enjoyed the large Garlic Chicken portion I received which was delicious and so filling. Most of all though I enjoyed you mugging off my friend, it was without doubt one of the happiest moments of my life.

I love this place, in fact I order a meal from here pretty much every week! The chicken tikka pathia is by far the best I have had and the tikka masala is also extremely good, again one of the best I have tasted! I have tried around 75% of dishes on their menu and I have to say I haven't been disappointed by one. I recommend this place to everyone whenever I have the conversation about takeaways!

As well as eating in the restaurant we regularly get takeaways from Spice Aroma. Always very happy, food is great. Staff always friendly.

worst takeaway i have ever had! chicken still frozen!!! wont be going back. No offer of refund or replacement staff are really rude used to get food from here all the time and the last 2 months it has gine completely down hill!!

I must this is worth Resturant I have being to the stuff were so rude .. only to find out the guy was the owner who have no manner n how to deal with customers.. will not recommend any one last year had come down on holidays to torpoint n had a meal here the stuff n the service was good so I though will go again.. but I guess the Resturant n service have lost its weight..

We arrived at this restaurant after hearing good things about it. As soon as we walked in we were ignored by two young girls at the counter, who were both heavily distracted by their phones. It took 15 minutes to be served and then a further 20 minutes to get given menus after we got seated at our table. Our immediate views were broken table flowers and dirty carpet.

Present enough place, soft drinks were ordered all of which were warm and no ice offered. When food was brought out they forgot one persons and had to cook it whilst we eat. No courtesy check done even though only to tables eating. When came to pay they messed up the bill and had extra items on which we did not have. The food was mediocre at best, nothing to set the heart racing. A throughly disappointing meal

Friendly service and amazing food

A good indian restaurant that has a very large choice from the menu. It makes an addition to the evening as you can take your own drink. If you run out a small shop next door to top up with. The staff always friendly and willig to please.

I enjoyed my food (I had a takeaway) and the service in the establishment was good - very polite staff. Usually the restaurant end of the place is very busy - that only says good things to me. It looked very clean and neat.
