Visiting family in Saltash would not be the same without some of our favourite Pasties and Saffron Cake! I was very glad that Rowes Pasties are still as good as I remember them from my first experiences some 50 years ago! Just the right amount of seasoning too! Our visit to the county of my birth was made all the more enjoyable by these excellent pasties and cakes! - Thank you Cornwall and thank you Rowes Pasties! 👏👏😄

A lovely hidden gem, serving amazing authentic tapas. We came for lunch and were very satisfied with all the dishes served. Great sized portions and all very tasty. A stand out was the aubergine fritters with honey. Truly delicious, I've not had this dish done so well since visiting Tapeo tapas bar in Barcelona (if you've been you'll know how good that place is!). Will definitely be back for more! Also, the decor inside is very well done and service excellent. Highly recommended.

Good food. Excellent poached egg. Fair prices Very accommodating. Staff so customer focused. Dog friendly. The whole establishment has a great cosy aura about it. Been there on a couple occasions . At least 6 miles from my home but worth it. Will be back

This little high street book shop has a café in the shop for lunch, coffee, tea and cake, with more tables upstairs. Pleasant whilst shopping in Saltash. I've been there often and it's a place where locals meet a friend for a chat, drink from bone china teacups, served by nice women. Today, I met a friend there at 12ish who I haven't seen for two months. Upstairs, we ordered and chatted, ate our food and drank our tea. A man appeared and fussily grabbed away our teacups before they had even cooled, then snatched away our plates and cutlery, rather impatiently asking if we wanted to order anything else. We were surprised at his brusque manner, but said 'No Thank you.' He returned a few minutes later, interrupting us to ask again if we wanted anything else and, when we said 'No' once more, he astonished us by saying if we weren't going to order anything, we needed to free up the table. We were alone in an empty room. We pointed out that all the other tables upstairs were empty yet he insisted that he needed the table as we couldn't sit there without ordering anything. Busy cafes need to free up space, and this can be done politely. If the Bookshelf wants to put a time limit, or a spend limit on tables, that should be clearly stated when customers place their orders. It's an odd strategy to alienate local people, so the Bookshelf is welcome to as many empty tables as its heart desires. Our experience today was really horrible. You will get a friendlier welcome in No 62 a few doors down.

Where to start Stop on a circular walk for a drink and bite to eat. The landlady was super nice and friendly, however, the pub looks to be struggling against time However, decided only to have a quick drink as the place was dark and felt tired

delivery took an hour, which wouldn't be a problem had they delivered our whole order. rice missing and poppadoms. then the curry had exploded all over the bag resulting in cross contamination over the rest of the food. not entirely happy and normally really good. it's not cheap to justify missing items we've paid for.
