When we walked in, there were only 3 tables with people. Food still took over an hour for 3 burgers to which I can't say we were wowed by. Defently not on my list of places to eat at again, very dispointed

We stopped here on way back to Devon as a large group late afternoon/early evening. The staff were very accommodating, we had 2 tables opposite each other. Lots of selection everyone in the group was happy. A few meat eaters enjoyed their burgers, vegetarians also had fab burgers. I had the artichoke spinach dip - yum, fresh tortilla chips and 2 tacos, shrimp and veggie chilli, they were really tasty and so worth it. Cocktails were pretty good too! Staff were friendly and helpful. Would recommend to others and would definitely be back if nearby.

Popped in here on our way back to Devon. It was a told pot luck choice but I was really impressed with the quality of the food and level of service this place is definitely a hidden gem. I had one of the best burgers i every had. Would recommend to anyone passing through or in the area

Can't say anything about this as it was impossible to get in. Obviously popular but why don't they have a booking system to give everyone a fair chance? We got their early in the hope of getting a table but were sorely disappointed! Our daughter and partner have tried several times but with no success. I guarantee if they don't adopt a booking system it will be to their detriment.

Always have a great time here. The food is tasty and really filling and the atmosphere is great.

Have been before and can confirm the food has been good but the chaos that reigns regards the wait has put us off. Walked in, table for 2? Told there was a wait, took our mobile number and invited us to go over to Bandits and have a (quite expensive) drink. 40 mins later, the phone rings. There’s a table for us. Walked over, got seated and looked at the menu. 10 mins later the lady came to take our order and informed us there was about an hour wait for food so we left and went to the Indian instead. How could this be improved? Perhaps a booking system and let people know they only have the table for a set amount of time - maybe have menus in Bandits so you can order ahead or at least save time. The current system has however, put us off.

Great service and good food as usual. Loads of choice and everything cooked freshly with a reasonable wait. Will be coming back again!!!

We have tried Foreign muck 3 times now. We were introduced to it by neighbours who highly recommend it. Unfortunately we were ignored and it seemed friends and locals were served before us and high priority as we waited to be served. Our neighbours were embarrassed as the 1st experience was a disaster, and waited for over 2 hours for food as overs were served before us with more attention. We have recently moved back to the area I felt dis associated every time we have visited this restaurant and the other Bandits. As I mentioned tried this restaurant as family and friends and a date night. Not impressed at all with our numerous experiences. Rude, sarcastic staff and very average food. My wife liked the wallpaper more than our experiences. Won't return as given so many chances. Over hyped in my opinion unfortunately

When we arrived, we asked how long our food was likely to be as we'd heard and read previously about delays in service; we were informed 45 minutes max, which was fine for us. However, one and half hours later and there was no sign of our food!! Transpires, any takeaway orders are prioritised over folk actually sat in the restaurant, so it was nearer two hours before we ate. I can't fault the food because when it did arrive it was lovely, but the place lacks direction and proper management. It would be so much better if they actually took bookings rather than you turning up on the off-chance they may have a table available. On this point, we were seated initially next to the kitchen, with dirty, greasy cooking equipment piled high waiting to be washed I presume; it all seemed very chaotic and disorganised. Although our eventual food was good, I won't be going back, it's just too hit and miss.

Another great meal out at fm, they have by far the best beers on tap within the local area and the food was excellent as usual. We decided to stop by for food whilst out on a walk and the burger was genuinely the best I’ve had in years

Great - really good food and friendly service.

We stopped for lunch as had heard both good and bad reviews and wanted to try it for ourselves. We ordered and then waited an hour for food to arrive. At no point did anyone apologise for the wait or offer to get more drinks. When the food finally arrived, there was still no apology for the delay. The food was not good. The burgers were dry and the onion rings were covered in way too much oily batter. This made them unpleasant to eat. So despite being really hungry we ended up leaving food. Would definitely not go back.

Family outing, service was poor problems seemed to be coming from the kitchen. Multiple ordered seemed to be wrong or delayed. My burger was nothing special over covered in sauce and the “onion rings” was just plain sloppy onion.

Not even Gordon will want to try and save this place! Waited 2 hours for a burito and mucky fries that were cooked from frozen. I watched the orange-bearded guy who I think is supposed to be the cook there and he spent most of his time shuffling the tickets around and chatting to staff instead of making the food.

Best food I've eaten since 2020 when I went to FM for the first time. Amazing service and the music just makes it the perfect restaurant 10/10 would recommend

Lived in Saltash for nearly a year and finally got round to trying this place. Good points... Great atmosphere. Attentive staff. Huge portions, really tasty and reasonably priced. Great drinks selection, again reasonably priced. However, the one bad point was the food took nearly 2 hours to arrive. Luckily we weren't in a rush! The staff were apologetic, but if they knew the food would take that long we should have been informed from the start! Nevertheless, a nice experience 👍 will definitely be returning.

Amazing vegi options, very large portion sizes.

Went in early Weds evening. Waited for around 40 mins plus for main course. When food eventually came out the Chips came out rock hard, and the chilli was Luke warm. Only food that was leaving the kitchen promptly was takeaway orders. Restaurant diners sat waiting for long periods of time, looked around the restaurant which was busy but no one had any food! Really disappointed, would not recommend or return.

Been here before and the service and food were great. On return visit found that the service has dramatically gotten worse, clueless staff who struggle when more than two tables are occupied or even know what is on their menu. Had to get the staffs attention to place food order after waiting 20 minutes, then wait a further 40 minutes before any food came out. Even then our meals came out separately. To make things more unpleasant, we had to suffer the overly loud conversation from the open kitchen staff about the previous weekend exploits. Even though the food was good, I will never visit again, the staff are incompetent, borderline rude and have apparently no one to provide guidance in running this small business well. If they carry on like this, they will be closed within six months.

100% my favourite place to eat. I visit regularly with a friend and have never had a bad meal. Fab staff, fab food. Just delicious.

Found this by chance as another was shut. Looked at photo's of the menu and had me drawn in. Gorgeous food and reasonably priced for the portion, the apple crumble is a must to try, so different. Absolutely going again tomorrow and any future visits. Very friendly bar staff and chef, enjoyable experience, good selection of music from Ozzy to the The Beatles. Highly recommend, well worth a visit.

After hearing so many great reviews, we were very disappointed with what Foreign Muck was actually like. Knowing that it gets busy, we arrived at 4pm, and there were only two other tables taken at that time. On arrival we were asked if we had any dietary requirements, and as I am gluten intolerant, I was given a separate menu. We placed our order, and mine was for a gluten free burger, described as: Gluten free bap, butter, and burger with hand cut chips. One hour later, I was informed that they had run out of gluten free baps, and was asked if I wanted to change my order or have a lettuce burger. We had already waited an hour and still no sign of the food, so I said I would have the lettuce. When our meal was eventually brought to us, mine looked awful. A slice of browning iceberg over a burger is not a suitable substitute for a gluten free bap with butter. When we asked for a discount because they couldn’t provide the gluten free bap that I had ordered, we were bluntly and indifferently told I had agreed to the lettuce and had eaten the burger so they were not willing to do this. No apology, just complete indifference. If you have run out of something on the menu, surely this should be mentioned at the time of ordering, and not one hour after ordering. Will definitely not be visiting here again, and would not recommend for anyone who is gluten intolerant.

You might want to share your correct opening hours on your website or Google. Twice now we have checked the opening times and twice you have been shut. Love your food but it is not great if people are driving out of their way to visit. Would have gone to Bandits but didn't fancy a toastie!

Officially one of my new favourite places to eat and can't wait to go back. The chimichanga was massive and delicious , the shrimp tacos were an amazing balance of flavours and the bread and butter pudding was chocolatey stodgey goodness. When the bill came I couldn't believe how cheap it was for how good the food quality, portions, service and atmosphere was. Couldn't recommend a better place!

Very disappointed with today's service as this is the first time my order came out wrong. We waited for food for over an hour while other tables ahead of us recieved their orders before us. When I ordered my buffalo cauliflower sandwich to be substituted with fried chicken, it still came out with cauliflower. I tried to ask for a refund on my sandwich while paying for everything else, but they refused to take it off my order despite not eating it only cutting into what I thought would be chicken. I understand new staff was recently hired and it takes time to properly train them, but today's service has left me extremely dissatisfied.

Simply delicious! We have eaten here twice and both have been great experiences. The service was speedy and friendly and the food was some of the best I’ve eaten. Highly recommend the steak sandwich from the lunch menu and the bruschettas from the evening menu were just incredible! We will definitely be returning, time and time again. Thank you 😊

THIS REVIEW IS FOR BANDITS NOT FOREIGN MUCK- Went for lunch at foreign muck’s sister establishment ‘Bandits’ this afternoon, arrived at around 12:45 and for starters was not helped or acknowledged with finding a seat for my 7 people party, 3 being children under 10. When finally noticed by staff and starting to order a long while after seating we were told that there was a lot missing off the menu but not only were we told this on multiple Separate occasions but an hour after originally ordering, the waitress came back to tell us they were ‘completely out’ of one of their sandwiches that someone in my party had ordered. This lead to an even longer wait time on food coming up to about 2 hours after ordering in the first place. The waitress staff was extremely poor and unsanitary, two girls in particular one blonde I saw with fingers in her mouth and scratching her head and not even washing her hands before handling food or the till, one girl in a hoodie, brown hair tied up in a bun with a pen in her hair I saw scratching her bare back, hair, face and even seeing her fingers in her mouth and then continue to handle plates and other appliances. I even heard this same member of staffs rude interaction with two elderly women sat next to me. The women simply asked how long until their food will be ready to which she replied “don’t know don’t ask me” The food was ok but underwhelming for an average of £9 for a grilled cheese by itself and the salads were also quite sad. Cutlery was still partially dirty as well. The staff clearly had no idea what their positions were and there was only really one young girl with short brown hair that seemed to be waiting on the tables as best as she could. Other staff members behind the counter chatting while I could visibly see people waiting to either order, pay or be seated. Saw multiple people walk in and wait to be acknowledged and leave. Only thing semi decent about this place was the coffee but even so they looked prepared with no care.

First time here at BANDITS to try try the lunch menu with my family of 7. Three adults had to change their order after placing, as thirty minutes in for one and an hour in for another, we were told they didn’t have the ingredients. The waitresses were clearly not being managed / led in terms of menu information from the kitchen or coordinated by anyone in charge front of house for a good level of customer service. The wait was over an hour and a half for food. The two customers on the table next to us, an hour in to their wait asked where their food was. The response of the waitress in the black hoodie with a pen through her ponytail was; ‘don’t ask me love’ and she walked off. This waitress also spent the two and a half hours we were there, repeatedly scratching her head/hair, up her top and behind her shoulders, then handling food and drinks. Perhaps Monday after the weekend is not a good time to go for getting a whole menu choice?? It was a really disappointing first visit, especially as I have had many great experiences across the road at Foreign Muck.

Stunning food and huge portions. Come here if you really enjoy amazing food and lots of it. American/Mexican style dishes. Will definitely come here again the next time I’m in the Plymouth/Saltash area

Great meal yet again. However it seems to have become a victim of its own success as wait times were excessive. However this will not prevent me from revisiting.

Great food great service lovely atmosphere

Used this place on Friday 14th July where we were told we would be seated within an hour. Two and a half hours later we were finally served. Food was fair for three of us but pretty poor for the forth. Service failed dismally on all accounts. Sadly we would not recommend this restaurant.

Our family got to this restaurant at 6.15 this evening and were told we had been put on the list for a table and to wait across the road in a linked pub . After an hour wait we made our way back to the restaurant. We were told to sit at the bar and a table would be available soon , one hour later we were at our wits end very hungry and very angry. At this point we didn't want to here another minute so paid for our drinks and left. This was a special meal for our Grandson who had just completed his A levels at which he had put in an incredible effort. I can understand restaurants being busy , but be honest and truthful about your two hour wait for a table . We will not recommend this restaurant to friends and family and definitely will not be back

I absolutely love eating here. The food is great. Home cooked, even the burger buns and the tortilla chips in the chilli nachos. Portion sizes are big and when I struggle to eat it all they're more than happy to provide a box for me...

Good food, good portions with vegan and vegetarian options, good beer, bit loud for my liking but that's a personal thing, only gave a 3 for service purely because we stood at the counter being completely ignored for about 5 mins without even a ' be with you shortly ' or even eye contact, after that though the service was very good and prompt. So all in all I would recommend giving it a try.

Great little place. It was so good to see it so busy on a Tuesday night. The service was a little slow and the food took a while to come out, but that's understandable as every table was full and it's freshly cooked. The decor and music choice is fantastic. The only down sides for me were that the starters were way too big. I had the cauliflower 'wings' and it was more of a main course size. Also, the chips were kind of soft and soggy - which I think was actually how they serve them, but I'm more partial to a crunchy chip. Not reasons not to go back. So will defo go again. They had a specific vegetarian/ vegan menu to make it way easier to find something to eat and it was extensive. So excellent for a plant based diet. Their t-shirts are also great too!!

I should give a good review because they were all the staff were so apologetic and even reduced our bill, but the service is poor, food orders were missed and waiting times were too long. Absolutely amazing place. Other reviews have mentioned how good their burgers are (It's all true) but... the atmosphere, the staff, the music, the selection of beers and ciders, all top notch. Even if you are staying the other side of the Tamar bridge, the toll on the way back is well worth it to pop over to this place for a bite.
