Good food. Excellent poached egg. Fair prices Very accommodating. Staff so customer focused. Dog friendly. The whole establishment has a great cosy aura about it. Been there on a couple occasions . At least 6 miles from my home but worth it. Will be back

What a great place to have a cuppa a meal or glass of wine. Popped in on our way from Cornwall to Somerset with the dog for a coffee and wasn’t disappointed great coffee homemade cakes (tasty scones) and super atmosphere great service and very tidy and clean. Will definitely come again.

We recently had our Christmas party meal here at Just Be. It was absolutely amazing. We have previously had our Christmas party here but due to covid, we couldn't come last year. The restaurant is charming, and so welcoming. The food was superb. We had starters to share, including amazing prawns and tasty figs then a delightfully delicious and different Christmas dinner. The dessert was to die for, meringues and churros. Equally yummy. Everyone had an amazing evening. Attentive hosting and waitress and the chef was fantastic. Highly recommend this restaurant not only for the food but the ambience too. We work within a healthcare setting and it's been a tough couple of years so it was really great to celebrate at Just Be. Thank you.

Took a drive down from Plymouth to meet a friend for lunch. This is a real gem of a place. Food delicious. Location ideal. Decoration and ambience brilliant. Parking close by. Highly recommended.

A warm and friendly welcome from the owners and staff and fabulous food. Top quality ingredients and a lot of effort in presenting a beautiful meal. We only went in for a drink but got so comfortable we stayed for lunch! Highly recommend if you’re visiting Saltash or stopping off to break up your journey.

Back again, today's frittata was superb and the salad dressing was just right. Coffee and walnut cake was just what I needed with my coffee.

Came across this by chance and envy the locals. A very warm welcome immediately on entering and the ambience and decor cosy straight away. As an aside they had on display really interesting selection of wines, some I knew to be excellent. Sadly driving. I ordered the soup which was badged hearty vegetable. It was a delicious flavour, obviously home made but hearty it wasn’t. Home made bread fantastic and the tempting cakes looked delicious. I hope I find myself there again, but you should go.

Great little restaurant. Far more than a coffee shop. Plenty of specials of the day to choose from as well as the main menu. I love the bread a dips! So simple but its fab and I always add it as a side to my choice. Nice to have options of larger and smaller plates of the same dish, especially at lunch time. Always good service too.

This was recommended by the owners of the Airbnb I was staying in, and I'm sooooo glad they did! Called in on a very warm Friday lunchtime. Sat outside with my dog and had THE most delicious meal I'd had all week - the sticky soy & ginger chicken was particularly moreish, could have happily ordered it again. The staff were super friendly and chatty. The view was gorgeous, and I was lucky enough to sit with some other diners who made the afternoon perfect. The only negative was that I had no cash and their card machine wouldn't allow me to add a service charge - something I very much wanted to do.

Great place to meet with friends for a lazy brunch. We were made welcome on our arrival and seated at a window table to enjoy the view of the bridges and river. Three of us opted for the full Just Be breakfast, the other one had poached eggs with a few additions, this was not a regular menu item, and was not a problem. Our drinks were quickly served followed a bit later by the food. Really tasty food, well cooked and not greasy. We ordered another round of drinks after our food and sat chatting and didn’t feel that we had to leave. The staff were very friendly. We will not hesitate to return if we are in the area again.

If you are passing through Saltash try and detour to this place just below the Royal Albert Bridge. The coffee and food were superb and all the staff brilliant. Had the full English and couldn’t fault it.

Another fabulous evening with friends at Just Be. Gorgeous goujons with triple cooked chips and homemade tartare sauce washed down with an excellent bottle or two of Chablis. Love this place.

Had a last minute lunch at Just Be, I had the charcuterie and fromagerie board which was massive and divine, partner had the Sole Goujons and chips, chips were some of the best she’d ever had. Staff were all lovely, the decor is modern airy and a little bit quirky all in all we had a fantastic time!

Visited here with my sister yesterday around 11am and easily managed to grab a table for two. We just started off with coffees whilst we were studying and didn’t feel at all pressured to order food, even as the cafe got busier. When we did get hungry, the waiter was more than accommodating with my sister’s dietary requirements (coeliac and vegan) and talked us through the menu options. Really enjoyed our food and stayed for another hour or so after that with a second coffee! Would thoroughly recommend for a casual brunch or coffee in a warm, relaxed environment. Thanks!

It’s lovely to eat in an establishment where the owner’s attention to detail and pride in what they do is so tantamount. A nice small freshly cooked menu offering delicious slightly unusual twists.The spiced meatballs were great, but the salted caramel creme brûlée was amazing. Lovely service from Kim. Great place for a glass of wine or a cocktail. Very friendly owners who ensure your order is exactly up to your liking. We stopped for a little snack and a few drinks on Friday night and was great. It's a shame it closes a bit early as that nice and comfortable atmosphere is hard to find in Saltash. Excellent bar/ wine list and choice of specials.Will be back.

A wonderful addition to Saltash. My sister and brother-in-law live in Saltash and we visit regularly, especially around the Christmas holidays. Whenever I go out for a little wander, I inevitably find my way to Just Bee. The food is delicious and they make a great latte. It’s located on the Tamar and is a welcome alternative to the standard English pubs, that can generally be found here. I literally go here every day that I’m in town. The building itself appears in a Turner painting which hangs in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC. Well worth the visit if you’re in this part of the world.

We were looking for somewhere for a group of us to have a meet up. Just Be said they could give us quiet table no problem.

Lovely restaurant to eat in any time, friendly staff and atmosphere. Gluten free options available and very tasty too, I would highly recommend it.

We picked this via TripAdvisor not knowing the area. Though rather quiet the evening we there, food was excellent, owners happy to have a chat and the menu small but interesting and their are also daily specials. You know when there is a train going above you! This is open all day and there is a good mixture of comfortable seating with a selection of books, papers and board games you can also use. Lots of free parking nearby. Recommended you book.

Wonderful ambience, super friendly and knowledgeable staff and delicious food and wine! Hidden down by the Tamar at Saltash, underneath the Brunel bridge, this is a great place to just be. Also totally dog friendly, so our Schnauzer gives a paws up too.

Welcoming restaurant/cafe/coffee bar/wine bar. Confused? You will be when you look at the menu which seemed a little haphazard and disorganised. The food, however, is very good as is the service. Portions are large, dishes freshly prepared and flavours good. The wine list is excellent. It is certainly worth a visit.

Gorgeous food! Had a birthday gathering, really like that they do a different twist to an afternoon tea. Scotch egg was cooked to perfection. Not too much cake but enough for each sweet tooth. Everything freshly made, staff were so friendly and accommodating. Thank you. Definitely coming back.

Yesterday I had the best cream scone ever. Absolutely delicious. The scone was warm, light and large.

This IS a cafe and wine bar as witnessed by the disparate customers around us having snacks/wine and tapas and a good natter - however, the specials board advertised a choice of proper dinners. We had the salmon with organic seasonal veg and a bottle of very good Viognier, leaving just enough room for proper gelato and a sorbet. Saltash waterside is atmospheric and we quite enjoyed trains rumbling over the Brunel Tamar bridge above our heads as we ate.

Just Be market themselves as a cafe or wine bar but they are a proper restaurant serving home cooked food to a very high standard with a very high level of attention to detail. Forget the cafe tag that suggests a poor local version of Starbucks. This is a billion miles away from that. Lovely staff that clearly care about the customer experience. A nice short menu so you know everything is cooked fresh and a great wine list.

The food at just be is very good. I had the goujons . Very nice food, but we sat outside in the garden and this is where it was not very good at all . The restaurant is very modern and trendy but the the garden which because it is on the waterfront should be gorgeous but it’s not. The planters are falling apart , loads of dead plant and the seating is very very dirty. It would be nice to look out towards the river you can’t because there is a huge sign tied to the fence!

Great little place in saltash down by the water. Quirky decor and nice surroundings. Lovely sharing plates and great wine menu. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful or attentive. Take away cakes were excellent too.

I have not been to Just Be for several years and there has been such an improvement since the last visit. The food and service was excellent. The food is obviously freshly prepared and therefore a little wait for it to be delivered to the table but the wait was well worth it. There was one ingredient that I asked to be left off and a choice of alternatives were offered in place of beetroot, this is rare to be given a choice of alternatives, so this added to the positive points about Just Be. My friends were equally impressed with the food and service and I look forward to returning for future lunches and dinners. Well done to all.

After walking down the hill to the riverside from the top of the bridge, we stopped in for cappuccino. Great, friendly service lovely little outside seating area. I might suggest painting the wall with a pretty mural rather than leaving it blank.

A hidden haven. Right by the water the menu was varied, reasonable and interesting. The service was superb as was the food. Such a bright and airy place with a quirky feel.

Just Be is a real hidden gem, down by the waterside in Saltash. It’s the kind of place you can feel very comfortable even if you go there just on your own for a coffee in the morning or a glass of wine at any time! The small touches such as a hot water bottle to cuddle on a cold morning are just lovely - as are all the staff. Everyone is refreshingly welcoming and friendly. When you try the wild mushrooms with spinach, pine nuts and poached eggs on a thick slice of buttery toast, you will not want to go anywhere else for breakfast ever again!

We are regulars at this wonderful local wine bar/restaurant. Because of the excellent food, wine and service my husband and I asked Peter and Tina if they could accommodate a very special 90th Birthday lunch for my mother-in-law. She loves Just Be and is always made to feel welcome there so it seemed the perfect venue for a surprise birthday lunch. It was a wonderful occasion which was catered for brilliantly. Peter, Tina and their staff created a very special seating arrangement with excellent service, despite having space for their usual customers who were not neglected at all. Peter and I worked on a menu providing suitable choices for all who were to be present, and the cleared plates at the end of each course were testament to the quality of the food. At least eight of the party had ordered steak and yet every one was cooked to individual taste by name! All the food was delicious and beautifully presented. The wines, as usual, were a real cut above the ordinary, and the tables looked lovely. Margaret was absolutely thrilled with her surprise lunch and enjoyed all food, wine and lovely company with family and friends, many who she had not seen for a long time. Just Be provided a day she will treasure. Cannot recommend this wine bar/restaurant more highly.

We dropped into Just Be as have just moved into the area and read the reviews. We were not disappointed. Lovely friendly greeting when we walked in. Loved the quirky decor. The breakfast was amazing and great coffee too. The owners have a great concept here as their menu is so versatile. If you just want a coffee and a scone at 9pm you can have it or, of course, any of the other dishes on the menu with a nice glass of wine. I’ve a strong feeling we will be back, and soon.

We arrived on our cycles after a 20 mile trip, a bit wet and bedraggled, with dog in tow. Not only was it warm and welcoming, with a variety of seating areas (and dog- friendly, the main reason for visiting) but they provided hot water bottles; I thought that I had died and gone to heaven!!

Stumbled upon this lovely eatery online, great atmosphere with lovely quirky tables and decor.. poached eggs were amazing on their own homemade toast. Dog friendly which was the reason we went in the first place. Free parking in the area which is always a plus. Give this great place a go you won’t regret it.

Well what a little gem! Under the imposing Tamar Bridge, Saltash side is Just Be. Dating back to the 1500’s this little place is a gorgeous breakfast/lunch/dinner place.

Visited with a group of friends from my motorcycle club for one of our monthly breakfast meetings. The decision proved to be good one as we found the place to be spotless (toilets included) with many original design touches, the staff lovely and the breakfast, consisting of beautifully prepared and presented food that was different from the usual "Full English". It was credit to the Chef(s) and well done "Just Be".

Really lovely fresh and healthy food,always good. Such a great place to relax with friends or a romayic meal for two.

We had a birthday meal for my husband at Just Be last night. There was 24 of us and every person said they had an amazing time.

Love Just Be. Fabulous food and wine. Great place for a sing along with crazy friends. Really was the best steak ever. Black pudding Scotch egg was rather special too. See you again next year.

I met a friend for lunch and we thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. Poached Haddock done to perfection.

We visited with family and were reluctantly served after being told there was a party on that eve, asking for another round we were given a time limit. We decided against it and left, on telling them we felt very unwelcome we were told, “it’s my business and I’ll run it how I want”. I complained on their Facebook page where it was made out that we had used foul language towards them, of which we certainly did not and that we were told we had to leave by 6.30 which we were not, I was then told that the people who were attending the party frequented the place more than me!!! On leaving a notice of “Closed” was cellotaped to the front which had been put there after we had arrived.

Only went in for a couple of drinks , certainly not made to feel welcome , asked to leave by 6.30 pm due to Xmas party that night , didn't want to take second drinks order at 5.50 pm then decided to a stick paper notice outside saying not open to public , definitely worst service & attitude ever received anywhere !!!!! Would not recommend to anyone

Went here on the last sunny day of the year .

We visited 6 of us and small baby - liked the way it had been decorated but after waiting over an hour for 2 bacon sandwiches and 2 breakfasts with a wee one who needed feeding we did start to get fed up - breakfast wasn’t the best prouscuitto as bacon and no explanation as to what else was on the plate - very expensive for the wait we had

Have visited a few times and always been happy. Tonight’s dinner with friends was no exception. Friendly, relaxed and comfortable. Lovely food, great service and all on our doorstep, perfect!

We were sceptical from the outside but the interior is really inviting, unusual and well thought out. Mixture of seating types, lots of games etc to distract the children. Huge drinks menu and friendly staff. The food was top notch and a really interesting menu from which we wanted everything. Best risotto I've had in a very long time.

Myself and 2 family members visited Just Be a few days ago. We were surprised and pleased to have found this little gem of a place. It was a lovely sunny day, the swans and their cignets were on the slipway just in front of the restaurant and it was a lovely location. Inside, Just Be was tastefully decorated with comfortable seating areas as well as more formal dining spaces. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. We ordered brunch and some simple pots of tea. The tea was served in an elegant but playful way with tea timers! The brunch itself was delicious and cooked to perfection. I chose gravadlax with wilted spinach and poached egg on toast and it was perfect with good and mouth watering ingredients. The restaurant did serve an evening menu and also tea time treats such as cakes and scones. There was an extensive and accomplished wine list for the connoisseurs and a great sounding evening menu. I would thoroughly recommend this place and will be back for more!

Tucked away under the Tamar Bridge with free parking and a great view of the river, this place does a fine selection of good wine and we enjoyed a sharing platter alongside our wine. Good coffee, too, appropriate music at the right volume was a pleasant change! Went twice during our trip to Cornwall.

We have visited Just Be quite a few times, extremely good food and wine with a lovely atmosphere. The staff are all friendly and welcoming and the service spot on. Would highly recommended. Love the aroma of their freshly baked bread and coffee.

This is our third visit each time ordering the seafood anti pasta . The first time had a great selection and we loved it the second time was a Sunday and the platter missed bits ( crab pate and sardines ) but we just thought it was down to the fact it was Sunday and they had run out of elements of the dish . This time the menu stated prawns Marie Rose sauce smoked salmon and smoked mackerel but at £16 we thought we would have plenty of each what we got was one strip of smoked salmon one piece of mackerel and 3 prawns which lacked flavour and a pot that had maybe a teaspoon of Marie Rose sauce . On the side was a small hand full of leaves 2 olives one sun-dried tomato and 3 slithers of stale bread and olive and balsamic . For 2 people and for that price shocked never again . Shame as this is exactly the type of food we like and if it was of a standard we are used to would love to be able to go somewhere in Saltash on a regular basis . Sorry but was disappointed and won’t be trying again .

Went there for drinks and dinner... really excellent... small food menu with only a few quality dishes and a specials board.. charming, friendly and efficient people... extensive wine list … the property was built in 1595 but has been modernised internally and is really very nice indeed, very tasteful and welcoming. The food was delicious. Easy parking outside and outside seating, super setting right on the river just to one side of the massive and high railway bridge... we shall return!

Stopped here for a light lunch on our way to visit Anthony House .This was my second visit having been here when it first opened .

Discovered this quaint place a few months ago and have been back a few times. Breakfast is very good, quality ingredients, plenty of it and well cooked. Homemade beans a real nice change change from the normal served baked bean.
