Popped in on Saturday 4th to grab a takeaway bap and coke , it was relatively quiet so I thought I’d be in for some good service however the staff were more interested in there phones then taking my order, after paying £6.30 for a bap and drink I headed home, when I got home I eagerly opened my bap to find one piece of undercooked bacon, a single chipolata sausage and an egg, disappointed was an understatement! The only saving grace to this bap was the egg which was well cooked however to charge £4.50 for a bap that consists of a single piece of bacon and one sausage is disgusting! I would hope that this was just an off day but I doubt I will ever return to number 62 again

Visited for late lunch today st 1.50pm. Girls were nice but we had to ask for table to be cleaned as they were busy chatting. We ordered at 1.52, and an older lady came in with her friend and sat on the rable next to us. At 1.55 the waitress informed them that the kitchen was closed. They were very disappointed and being that they'd only just taken our order it was disappointing to see. Our food arrived 5 mins later, it was really nice, but we had to ask for cutlery (after several minutes of waiting) and the girls still busy chatting.

From my window in the Brunel Inn opposite, I watched this cafe preparing to open. So after a quick wash and shave there I was sitting down to breakfast. I didn't know what to expect, but my Full English was terrific. The bacon wasn't hot but at least it was tasty. Other than that, everything on the plate was well cooked and spot on. It's a lovely one-unit cafe, freshly revamped, with a few tables inside and a few out by the pavement. A blonde lady was running it, with a young woman of about school-leaving age, who took care of me well. Very happy with No 62 cafe.

This morning a friend and I went for a coffee at Jennifer's and had the same gentleman that has interrupted our tete a tete once before leaning across our table pontificating and advertising how the cafe was burgled. On leaving, we discovered that this person was the owner. I don't think it's very professional of him to interrupt people's conversations and lean across their tables. We were not very impressed!

We've visited Jennifer's on numerous occasions and have always been impressed. Their recent refurb has also made the space even more welcoming. The food is always really fresh and everything is really well priced. I had a massive cafetière for £1.75! We would definitely go back. The only this, that as it's quite small, I would recommend calling to book. We pop in without booking and it's fine, but for more than 2 people, I'd recommend booking. Lovely, welcoming place and it's great to support a local business.

Today my mum took me out for lunch before I return to university. Mum has been to the café before so was looking forward to taking me for a treat. However, mum ordered the ploughman's and it came with no ham and the pickled onions (her favourite part) were soft and inedible. My chicken burger was smothered in cheap mayo and undercooked fatty bacon, tasting of nothing. The girls working were very nice, however we didn't get an apology for mum's meal, even after she complained. The experience was also hindered by the music that was a mixture of rock and rap songs, very uplessent and I just feel disappointed that my mum took me there and felt so bad afterwards.

I'm really disappointed. I've visited recently and enjoyed a great coffee and scrambled egg & smoked salmon.Today I thought I would do the same with my wife. When I ordered our food, I was told straight away "No hot food!". When I questioned it and stated it was only 2pm the reply was, "They're cleaning the kitchen for tonight's Bistro". A scheme to no doubt build the business whilst turning lunch customers away! The assistant didn't seem happy and said it's not her fault. It was a management decision. We left and went to Bakers Coffee House and enjoyed hot food there.Businesses in Fore Street complain about poor foot flow but do things like this. The ironic thing is that my previous lunch was at the very same time. Just don't do it on 'Bistro' nights.

I normally don't go for little cafés like this as I think they typically overcharge for too little and the food tends to be uninteresting. None of those preconceptions held true for this place. Jennifer's was a lovely café. It was simple, yes, and quiet. The staff were friendly and cheerful. My wife and I had tomato soup and a croque monsieur each. I would have been quite happy with just one or the other, but didn't know that before ordering both. The soup comes with a baguette, as stated on the menu, but I expected that to be quite a miniature baguette. It wasn't. The sandwich came with crisps, pasta, and salad. We also had a hot chocolate each. The hot chocolates were lovely. While warm, they were not as hot as I would have liked, but I get that not everyone likes to scald their mouth as they drink. The atmosphere was pleasant and relaxed and I found myself stuffed from all the food I ate, which was also rather delicious. This was a great find as my wife loves little cafés and this is one we can both enjoy together when we find ourselves hungry in Saltash.

This small deli brightened up a non-descript street with its excellent home made food and welcome from the staff. Jennifer herself is there to make sure your experience is a pleasant one, whether you're enjoying a coffee, lunch, afternoon tea or buying some of her marvellous produce. A little tea shop on the Main Street, this independently owned venue offers locally sourced good quality food.I visited the venue with a friend and was pleasantly surprised, from the outside the tea room doesn't look like much, especially with the rather uninspiring outdoor seating but it offers a wide and varied selection of teas, cakes, freshly made sandwiches and delicatessen products. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable, able to offer advice on the range they have in store. Alongside the tea rooms there are varying deli items you can take home with you. The decor is very quaint, with limited seating. However it creates a real ambiance.Would defiantly recommend over the other tea rooms and coffee shops in Saltash.

Came in to kill time while our nephew was at some music event down on the quay. The women staff were pleasant, the food was OK if a bit routine. With the door open, the constant tramp of pedestrians and moderately heavy traffic noise, the experience is a but functional and uninspiring. With the current glut of tea shops everywhere it is a pity that this place which is so obviously an independent, does not do something to give it a bit of a lift.

Not forgetting two steel tables and four chairs outside. This is a small room but a lot is packed in. When recalled for a quiet coffee and snack, the two inside tables were occupied but we were welcomed to sit on spare chairs. It was very friendly indeed on our weekday, although all the others were OAPs and welcoming. There is a simple but easily sufficient range of savoury snacks and a good many cakes and other slices etc to go with drinks. Everything we had was fresh and tasty. Around the sides are shelves and displays of deli type foods to take home. The two ladies are very helpful and talkative. Maybe we were the only non regulars or non locals. Several people who walked by waved and one couple took the trouble to open the door with greetings and harmless gossip. This is much more amenable to short or lingering snacking the a couple or more of the bakers etc elsewhere in the street. We liked our homely half hour in here. Parking on the other hand is worse than hit and miss and might be enough to makes drive on if we couldn't find a quick space and were otherwise passing through. Should also say that this cafe does a lot of takeaway.

Not noticed this before. Enjoyed a more than decent assembly for a sort of afternoon tea this week. Good cake and tea. Slightly formal tables and didn't feel that we could let our hair down and would probably not dare let the children come in with us but the food and service was good. Maybe someone could put up some photos. Perhaps the tenor could be adjusted slightly towards a hint of fun. Tea Shops (and delis) have evolved a bit over the last decade.

Nothing flash but a small pleasant deli with two or three tables if you want to eat in. I came in late afternoon, maybe fourish but tea time was over and the chairs were up for the floor to be swept. Two helpful and polite ladies (one a bit stern) could not do me a cuppa but very efficiently sorted me some tasty Victoria sponge and a delightful muffin to take away. Given the limited options on Fore Street this is useful. Less cramped than the bookshop cafe which has previously been my only choice. Jennifer's needs to post some photos.

Only 3 stars I’m afraid. We have eaten here many times before and have never had any need to give a bad review. Today was different - and also different staff but many tables were not cleared and we waited a very long time for our order to be taken. Well into our meal before our coffee adrives apparently there had been a ‘mix up’ and the coffee was awful - really bitter.
