A warm welcome, friendly and helpful staff. Have to say the food was delicious, chicken satay, Mongolian beef cooked with care , a real treat, calm atmosphere and view of estuary in the distance. It is a pleasure to eat here

Had takeaway tonight been working my way through their street food oh my it’s amazing some dishes say hot but they will make to your taste it’s a 100 out of 10 really recommend you won’t be disappointed can’t do pics as all gone to quick

We visited Saltash for a few days with our kids and ended up having dinner here every day! We didn’t expect to find such an authentic Asian restaurant in Cornwall! All the Malaysian dishes are so authentic because the owner is from Malaysia! We are Laksa for two nights as it’s simply too good! We also tried Mongolian beef, Singaporean fried rice noodles, Malaysian beef curry, etc. I have to say everything is so delicious. The service is great. The owner and staff are both super friendly. We can’t wait to come to this restaurant again.

I love this restaurant, I visit every time I come from Sydney to see my family. I recommend the duck pancakes, the Mongolian Beef is truly outstanding, the staff are very friendly.

Very nice meal, veg black bean was so tasty as was the Indonesian veg dish. Lots of fresh vegetables and lovely sauce. Service was very good, it was very busy and there was a big table of about 12 people but we didn’t have to wait too long and the food was fresh and a very good quality

I am from Hong Kong and I am soooooo happy that i found a place that serve authentic Asian food 1000/100, it is actually even better than some places in Hong Kong !!! The Mongolian Beef is so good that we ordered 2 portions !!! The Kuey Teow is so chewy and flavourful !!!

My first time here, bought a takeaway. The vegan menu is varied and super tasty. The seitan beef and seitan chicken were so good I couldn't believe my luck! I hope to visit for a dine-in experience soon.

Eat in or take away food is always delicious. Lovely to eat in on this occasion, staff fantastic and helpful with recommendations. Massive choice on the menu.

Plus point - A great menu with lots of choice, however food was very disappointing. Food was very bland. ‘Fried’ rice was more boiled with bits of eggs stirred in, and crispy honey king prawn - all prawns still had the tails and parts of the shell on under the batter. Even the prawn crackers had a funky aftertaste. Won’t be going back anytime soon

I’ve had food from here on a few occasions both eating in and take away. The service is friendly, quick and the food is absolutely delicious. There is a great variety of meals including vegan, I’d most definitely recommend eating here.

We had a delivery to Notter and the food came boxed up and hot! We had the Malaysian curry which was one of the best things we have both ever eaten ! Nothing was greasy, it all tasted fresh and utterly delicious. It was so good that we came back the next night for a top up !! 5/5 stars, best takeaway I’ve ever had !!! Can’t wait to come and sit in the restaurant as it looks gorgeous

The food is fresh & very tasty we ordered Penang Kwetio, Salt n Pepper ribs, Salt n Pepper King Prawns, Chicken balls & curry Sauce. Had this twice from here and it’s arrived each time Hot and tasting delicious.

Over several visits I can confirm that Asian Bowls is always a fantastic experience, the food exceptional and staff extremely friendly. I highly recommend a visit if you’ve never been before.

Ordered a selection of starters and mains. Firstly the tiny pancake rolls were soaking wet and soggy in the middle none of us ate any of them. The fried rice was over cooked and clumped together. the meat in the mixed black bean was shoe leather and there were no prawns?. the tub of BBQ sauce was the most artificial food (looked like a thick fizzy drink) i have ever tasted and as it cooled it turned to water. We stuck with this place through the when their hygiene scores dropped all the way as loyal customers because the food was good. now its just rubbish just go elsewhere. We have been making excuses the last couple of times that maybe they were really busy or a new chef but its just bad every time now.

Our usual Chinese was closed so we thought we would try this one and order takeaway. We were so disappointed. I had king prawn curry which was curried water with so many mushrooms and hardly any king prawns. I have included a picture of all the mushrooms in the curry. My son and partner had the salt and pepper box, the chips were soggy and there was just no flavour to any of of items included. We will not be ordering again from here. Hugely disappointed.

We had the 21.50 per person meal. You can pick 6 different meals rice, and noodles are included. It's a great way to try new things without wasting any. The food is hot, tasty, and delicious. The staff are friendly, efficient, and attentive. Very professional highly recommended

I do not normally leave negative reviews but felt strongly about this takeaway. Worst Chinese takeaway we have ever had. Overcooked dry chicken, cheapest tasteless sweet & sour sauce, pancake rolls were so oily undercooked & fell apart plus had zero taste except for the taste of oil. Chips were like bullets, duck was mainly fat and sliced, not a 1/4 duck as stated. Will never use Asian bowl again

Fantastic food and great service

I was looking for somewhere with vegan options and this restaurant popped up on the app. Although I am local, I’d never eaten here before. I booked a table for seven friends and we were all pleased with the food. Menu was good with excellent vegan options and the food was well presented and delicious; there was a low alcohol beer option for me; the service was excellent and surroundings pleasant. We will be going back.

Honestly, I don’t have any words to express how pleased we are with the food we had here. The food is simply excellent. I had a Mongolian lamb dish, which was fantastic. Also the duck sharing platter was amazing. The service is ace too. Very lovely ladies. I’d highly recommend this restaurant. 10/10

Wow! This little gem is so amazing! Came today and the food is so tasty and fresh full of flavour it's so good! We were really impressed and will 100%, be back again.

Thought I would try Asian Bowls and certainly the website and on-line ordering was very slick. But my optimism was dashed when the meal was delivered. I hate to leave negative reviews but it was not nice at all. The chicken balls were passable but small and less then I am used to from other takeaways. The sweet and sour sauce was an insipid translucent pink and the special fried rice was absolutely dreadful. I could have got better results from a packet of Uncle Bens. Sorry, but not for me in future.

Last week I ordered 2 deliveries. 1 turned up but the other for £40.30 did not but I was charged. Tried to call but they werent taking phone calls. Sent 3 emails to the email address on the website- no response and no money put back into my account. Very poor.

Beware of increase in prices, the website shows a picture of the menu with prices....ring to order and surprise surprise everything is a higher price, I'm sure trading standards would like to know about this

I just ate a truly authentic Southeast Asia Laksa. The hospitality is excellent too and I will come again. The white one is wonton which is not included in the Laksa. The wonton is in another dish. It is very impressive as well.

Asian Bowls is a hidden gem that you're unlikely to stumble across walking up the main street of Saltash. Even if you do find it, a peep through the windows may put you off. It's neither a posh or a trendy, street-style restaurant. It looks more like a well-kept cafe. The first impressions really don't do it justice as the food and service are excellent. After being shown to a table and ordering drinks, the menu takes some studying. There are a lot of dishes to choose between. There are the familiar dishes you would find on a Chinese menu along with Thai and Mongolian specialities. The waiter was very helpful in offering advise based on what I was looking for and explaining that they could cook the food to suit my tastes. Throughout the meal, the staff chatted with us in a very friendly manner without crossing the boundary into being invasive. I got the impression they really cared about the food they served and our enjoyment of it. I'll certainly be returning to Asian Bowls and also trying out their takeaway menu. The only reason for not giving it 5 stars is the lack of identity. It's neither a place for a special occasion or a busy street restaurant. It simply serves good food at a very reasonable price.

Another fantastic ‘Asian adventure’ menu with great food all served up by very friendly staff. I’ve been coming here for the last 10 years and have never walk away disappointed. The shengdu lamb and Malaysian chicken wings are delicious and my favourites! Highly recommended.

Have had salt and pepper prawns on numerous occasions, however tonight they were dried up and tasteless, also ordered calamari which were covered in a thick, dry batter, couldn't taste the calamari, very disappointed.

Visited Asian Bowls this evening as on holiday in the area. The food was amazing. Hot, fresh, good size portions and so tasty. The service was great and the restaurant was buzzing. One of the best Chinese meals we’ve had. Great overall experience. Would recommend.
