The best restaurants in Westbourne and West Cliff Bournemouth South West

Awful service. Passive aggressive and rude. Forgot half of the order. Three members of the staff -that I could see - all hiding in the back. Uncomfortable atmosphere. All they care about is the display. Go to 83 across the road instead, they have great cakes.

A disappointing high tea experience with friends. Pots of tea could have done with 2 teabags each instead of 1 so the tea was very week. It was an hour between the tea arriving and the selection of sandwiches/cakes. The cakes selection itself was inconsistent and the GLUTEN FREE selection was very poor value - 3 cake portions per person instead of 4 or 5 for a standard tea. We had doggy boxes but when we got these home we discovered that one of the regular scones and both of the GF scones were undercooked and filled with semi raw dough.

Has reopened after COVID and now there is Susi who is running it with her German delicacies, i.e. Prezel Buns with fillings which are lovely and gorgeous cakes, one of them being Poppyseed and Blueberries with a Chocolate icing which was so yummy with my delicious Flat White Coffee and all very reasonably priced. It is opposite Iceland in Westbourne open Monday to Friday. There is a little eating area at the back which is delightful in the warmer months.

Small rustic “restaurant” with great service and fresh delicious food. Bento boxes are generous and filling. Does takeaway service too.

Very cheap, tasty food, with a sense of community for all ethnicities. Everyone is very friendly and the food is next to none

Amazing and memorable food. Service was fabulous explaining every dish. Worth every penny . Definitely try once you will be blown away with the amazing flavours

The food and the coffee were both amazing. We were a big group of people and we went to celebrate and we ordered a lot of different foods and we were served quickly and everything tasted amazing: from the arancini, pancakes, croissants and the sandwiches. We would definitely go back 😊 We also had a cake made which looked and tasted really good!

We had some take away sushis, veggie and they were very good. The food that was served in the restaurant smelt and looked delicious. We hope to return one day again.

We came as a group of friends to celebrate a few birthdays, due to the amount of us we had a pre order food which was no problem. Despite preordering it took 2 hours to receive our main meals, two of the preordered dinners were not available but only got notified of this after an hour and then the replacement orders were wrong. If they were not able to accommodate a table of 24 then they should not of taken on the order, all we was offered was 10% off and the unavailable meals taken off in the end they took off 15% as apparently this is all they could remove as they were not the managers. It still worked out at £24 a head which I think is ridiculous considering the service. I would never wait two hours for a main meal if I was in a smaller group I would of walked out but because they said they would compensate we waited only to find out this compensation was £3.50 each (less than what I had to pay on an extra hour parking) the staff were good but I wouldn’t say they were overly apologetic. Very disappointed as this was a special occasion and it made us late for our evening entertainment. Definitely won’t be coming back

This is a small friendly restaurant with delicious food would also recommend it as good value too. We r will certainly be returning

We come here often before going to the beach and it’s excellent every time. Lovely vegan options. Coffee is perfect. Outside has a chalk board to keep kids entertained. Perfect stop for breakfast first thing in the morning.

Went in to buy a croissant and as I went to pick it up a member of staff grabbed the price tag and increased the price from 2.69 to 3.69 saying the price has gone up. How can you do that half way through the day ? Won’t go again

Lovely venue and staff let down by the food. Beautiful old building with old features made the most of. Great drinks selection when you get the drink you asked for. Was with a small group for a meal in a private room which had been asked to preorder. Mixed reaction to the meals. Not all were as described on the menu that we had been provided with and definitely not much more than frozen goods heated in a microwave. Far better food served elsewhere.
