Went in to buy a croissant and as I went to pick it up a member of staff grabbed the price tag and increased the price from 2.69 to 3.69 saying the price has gone up. How can you do that half way through the day ? Won’t go again

This bakery has the most amazing bread, pains au chocolats and croissants. We buy bread and other sweet items every single week. It would be a lot quicker to go to the nearest store but its worth the walk every single time! Sometimes we go during the week day just to treat ourselves!

I was given a takeaway carrot cake slice from this bakery recently and it was easily the best carrot cake I've ever tasted. It was moist, fresh and big. Visiting Bournemouth today I decided that Bigwig had to be visited. Sadly no carrot cake left. Had an Oreo filled brownie, which was so rich and filling that I struggled to finish it - which is a miracle as I have a huge appetite! The hot chocolate is tasty. There's a choice between milk, dark or white chocolate. The prices are SO cheap for what you get. I'm gutted that I don't live near Bournemouth as this place is wonderful.

I absolutely love BigWigs products! I am a regular and the staff are wonderfully lovely and kind. However it must be said, the lack of “urgency” they have with making the drinks it’s shameful. People are constantly waiting for them to get a move on. Without fail, every single time I purchase a hot drink (coffee), I am left waiting for said drink for around 15-20 minutes which is totally unacceptable. You see the staff chatting to each other, wondering around aimlessly and not dealing with the customers directly. I often see people waiting to pay, and with the amount of staff - they are left waiting while the staff chat and waste time. People want to get on with their days, in BigWigs it seems there is plenty of staff to deal with this but it’s always so slow, to the point it puts my entire family off coming. My advice would be, you need to have a dedicated member of staff for hot beverages. Multi tasking is not good here. I don’t want this to come across as rude, but it has been a problem since it opened.

Wonderful staff, lovely atmosphere, reasonable prices and delicious food what more can you want. The halloumi avocado egg and hummus bap was absolutely insane. Highly recommend the smoothies too and super reasonable compared to other smoothie places

A real hidden gem, although they are popular so best get there early if you want the full choice, as everything is baked fresh & on premise you sometimes don't get the same things, every time, but that is some of the appeal, as you can try new things. The Almond croissant, Praline croissant & over night oats are my 3 fav's, while my daughter loves the breakfast baps ! also the coffee is great. I have also used then for work events and with a few days notice they have knocked up 50 odd pastries & doughnuts that the team went made for. Cheaper than the multinationals and so much better quality

The best place to go for your pastry fix, mouth watering, fresh and affordable. Coffee and chai latte is really good! Welcoming, smiley and friendly staff. Highly recommend! Cannot wait to go back to Westbourne again 😊

Excellent bakery and a very welcome addition to the centre of Bournemouth. We both had wonderfully baked tasty pastries which were very good value for money. They also have a very good range of gluten free choices.

Overrated. Tried to go five times now because it’s so popular. Every single time they either have nothing or are just closing at 1330… rediculous. Very disappointed

Came here twice while on holiday in Bournemouth, first time we grabbed a cinnamon swirl and a nutty flapjack to take with us to brownsea and they were so good that we decided to come back again a few days later for breakfast - we had a sausage butty and a chicken and bacon sandwich - and of course grabbed a couple of cakes for our walk to mudeford (cinnamon bunnut and Nutella brownie) and again everything was incredible. Highly recommend for a coffee break, breakfast or a takeaway hiking snack!

If you are in Westbourne or Tuckton or Highcliffe you just have to go to Bigwigs Bakery for heaven in a cake box! You will be back and thats a fact its like you’ve entered the Willy Wonka of the cake and bake world and its a world you will not want to miss. I had a flapjack that is frankly the best I’ve ever had and bread pudding which even after consuming it has an enduring aftertaste.. The men behind the whole operation are experienced local chefs Tom and Dom really friendly up and coming small businessmen - so don’t just dare walk past Bigwigs when you’re in any of their locations and you can buy online too so no excuse Its also a cafe with drinks - so now you can have your cake (your choice) and eat it too remember the name Bigwigs Bakery get your golden ticket today!

Have eaten in & had takeaway from Westbourne BigWigs, this though was first time having a takeaway from Tuckton BigWigs & bravo it’s just as good. BigWigs is definitely the best local bakery. Fab to see places such as SoBo beach stocking their produce.

Have been to Bigwigs a few times for coffee and cake with my friend. The staff are always friendly and the coffee is great. But be warned - there are so many gorgeous donuts and cakes you won’t be able to choose what to have! The bread and croissants are also excellent. They also offer hot chocolate made with real melted chocolate! Oh my.

What a great find this morning. The best bacon roll I have ever had and an amazing pistachio crossiant. It's just as well this isn't very close to my house, but thankfully it is only a short drive away!

Wow! What a brilliant experience! We absolutely loved our sushi making workshop with the amazing Cheryl! We arrived and everything was set up and ready for our family group lesson which we’d booked as part of a 21st birthday celebration. We wanted something that was fun and memorable and this definitely was! From the minute we walked inside the restaurant, Cheryl was warm and friendly and super organised. She skillfully taught us how to make different kinds of sushi with a great selection of fresh ingredients like salmon, prawns and chicken, and we each set about making our own mixed sushi platter to take home ( but we also ate some as we went along!) We finished off by showing off our new sushi making skills in a friendly competition to see who could plate up the most Plenty of sushi to feed everyone at home! Thankyou Cheryl for such a brilliant afternoon!😊

Great little place, excellent Dim Sum, though limited options. Staff were very good. It's not the type of place you go to for a lovely relaxing lunch, it's ideal if you're in town and fancy a good dim sum, well cooked and tasty and not expensive at all

Went in for dinner on a Friday night. Unfortunately my meal was barely edible but even though I hadn’t eaten all day I still only managed half of it. My partners slow cooked beef was good but my steak pie was overcooked to the point that the moisture had been sucked out of the meat and pastry resulting in tough, stringy beef and a dry, hard crust. The potatoes and gravy were tasty but the accompanying swede, carrots and broccoli were woefully overcooked and literally disintegrated to the point I had to scoop them onto the fork. Highly disappointing meal.

Fantastic service Went for a drink in the afternoon and had a look at the menu. Staff were really friendly so when we had a mishap with a booking elsewhere we went back to see if there was a table for dinner. Advised there would be a wait but we were happy to sit at the bar for a bit and they found us a table. The food was really good and service personable and with a smile. Fully recommend a visit.

We played here every day of our family holiday, and had a lot of fun. The cafe serves good snacks and non-alcoholic drinks.
