Went here on a little dinner date with my young daughter while me and her was having a daddy and daughter holiday in Bournemouth. I love shawarma so went looking for a place in Bournemouth that had good quality and not fake shawarma. And I must say this place didn’t disappoint the food was outstanding the quality was amazing the staff was really friendly and accommodating we got here about 8:30pm on a Saturday and managed to get a table for me and my little girl. If I’m ever in the area I will definitely be returning here to eat I had a mixed shawarma with rice and salad

Really delicious lunch with great service today. So many tempting options on the reasonably priced menu, including lunch snacks such as wraps with various Moroccan/Lebanese style fillings. My lamb and sweet potato tangine was deliciously tender and spicy. My friend’s chicken shambalaya (half roasted chicken with spices) was equally tasty. The restaurant owner who served us was really friendly and helpful. I also had an amazing cup of tea, as strong as I like it, very hard to get in many restaurants. Great value at £20 each. Will deffo be returning and would highly recommend to others. Felt like a meal on holiday, though we live locally!!

Please DO NOT order from this restaurant. My order was only half fulfilled it cost and fortune and when I called the restaurant the male who answered the phone was so rude and hung up on me. Go somewhere else - save your £50!

Food quality was amazing! I find the portion small. Flafel was so good, one of the best Flafel I’ve ever had. The shop was cosy and clean, however it doesn’t seem kids friendly. One of the diners turned and gave unpleasant look to my kids thinking that they were making noise then she realised that it wasn’t kids it was another adult diner. Didn’t enjoy their pitta bread and find tabuleh too sour for my liking. Pastry roll was fine.

Delicious food, lovely staff, great atmosphere. We chose this place on a whim and we were very pleased we did. There is nothing to dislike. Plenty of vegetarian options, fabulous meal at a very reasonable price.

I’ve been travelling to this restaurant from London since January 2024. The food is incredible. The staff are so friendly and polite, very attentive. Always make me feel so welcome. Living in London I have eaten at many cuisines but I can honestly say this beats any Lebanese/Moroccan in London. My fav dish is the Sejuk, highly recommend. I can’t wait to visit again. Special mention to Grace, her service is 5 star, can’t do enough for you. Thanks again Luxor 👌🏼

We visited Bournemouth as a spontaneous trip to the beach and found this beautiful restaurant. Grace greeted us as soon as we walked in with a warm and welcoming presence. She provided us with all the support and information we needed to get the best experience out of their cuisine, which we really did. Honestly, we highly recommend this restaurant for all the right reasons; flavours and so many gorgeous veggie & meat options, customer service/beautiful environment, and atmosphere. Please plan to visit this restaurant and leave with an intoxicating bounce in your step & a full stomach. I live locally and went to the luxor restaurant for dinner today with my son. We both had kebabs with rice and salad. Very tasty washed down with a glass of cider. I have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant.

Very bad food damage meat asked him it’s damage and he says it’s normal please avoid.

Had a delicious meal here with friends on a busy Wednesday evening. The portions were generous and well presented with plenty of flavours and textures. Parking is on the road side with restrictions but we didn't have any difficulties finding parking. Reasonably priced dishes so definitely recommend this to anyone who likes middle eastern food.

Incredibly kind and welcoming staff! The food is lovely every time, with a wide variety of options for every taste. I especially reccomend their chargrilled options and mezze/ dipping platters! I always reccomend them to friends visiting Bournemouth.

This is great for a casual night out if you like fresh lebanese food this is the place we had taboullah, houmus dips, calamari, flatbreads and kebabs. The houmus was the best I have ever had service was excellent and loved it highly recommend.

The food was taste and plentiful. The menu was a decent size. Service was ok. Restaurent itself is dated which puts a downer on the meal. For the price it is good value and would go again.

Warm atmosphere, amazing food, great vibe and the service is great too! Staff sang us happy birthday! We went for the grill platters and all the meats that came out were so succulent and full of flavour. It’s a shame we don’t live here otherwise they wouldn’t get rid of us

We had a wonderful meal via Just Eat from Luxor. My wife had grilled lamb, Luxor rice, and vine leaves; and I had seafood tajine, vine leaves, and some wonderful flatbreads. We finished off with baklava for dessert. This food even though delivered was hot, tasty, and really first rate.

Amazing authentic food. Well worth the visit! The staff are friendly and kind. We love coming here! It's going to become a regular place for us.

Yesterday we are going to visit durdel door from Portsmouth, we are 7 pepoles are full hungry, we select luxor for our dinner, there food was absolutely awesome, nice and tasty ,we order lamb quize, chicken and one Lebanese food and one Morocco...there food is pretty hit,well decorated ,and service is fabulous, price is all good. and there hospitality and behave is fantastic. after had our dinner the give us a sweets full complementary , and the gave chips for my kids.... i wish to have your food again....

I've been to the Luxor 2 times. The food is authentic and the place has a great atmosphere. If you are ever feeling homesick, it is the perfect place to go. I have recommended it to all my friends.

Great food and service despite being very busy

We had a fabulous meal at Luxor last night. It was Saturday and exceptionally busy. This meant that the service was a little slow however our waitress was exceedingly cheerful and helpful. The food, when it arrived , was utterly delicious and perfectly cooked. And to top it all a very reasonably priced bill.

Brilliant. Decided I wanted something different for my Birthday & had the notion to search for Lebanese food. Came up with the Luxor & the reviews were good so went over to Charminster to check it out. Well, once I'd managed to park the car, parking is a bit scetchy, everything else was great. Walked into the Luxor & was given a warm welcome & got seated on a leather bench seat with a big long cushion which was very comfy. I ordered some Baba ganache, which is a smoky aubergine dip with flatbread for starters which was lovely. Plenty of it, plenty if bread too, it was topped with olive oil, parsley & sumac. Delicious. Then I had a lamb tagine from the specials board on the recommendation of the host. Oh wow, a lamb shank with potatoes in a cinnamon spiced sauce with tomatoes & stuff cooked down, served with a mushroom pilaf rice. I thoroughly enjoyed that so I enquired about deserts. Well there wasn't much choice tbh, baklava & some other dish I can't remember the name of. Well I know baklava, like it very much but wanted to try something different, so went for this other thing which was cheese, yes cheese, topped with semolina, drizzled with syrup & sprinkled with chopped pistachios. It was sweet & desert like with this semi melted cheese underneath. It was quite nice but the combination seemed very weird to my palate, but it did kinda work, just took some getting used to, although tbf I did think at 1 point I should have ordered the baklava ☺️. I highly recommend the Luxor on all levels. This is a busy family run business, the food is home cooked authentic middle eastern & it is jolly well delicious. At just over 25 quid for 3 courses with a drink I thought was very reasonable & I will definately be going back. What is more, when I arrived there was a guy just leaving whi heard me say I'd seen good reviews,, he said he eats there all the time as it's spot on. Do much so that most of the other clientele were of middle eastern origins, some of the ladies even had their faces covered so you don't get more authentic than that. It was also nice & warm in there & I thought that I could easily be in Morocco or somewhere , I really enjoyed my visit, thanks to everyone at the Luxor 👍

A group of us 7 girls came here on Friday, and had a wonderful experience. Grace was super helpful in finding the drinks to complement our food. We had a mixture of dishes, chicken shawarma, kebabs, and some tapas style dishes and it was all delicious. The red wine was perfect too. All in all, great service and food, we’ll definitely be back.

What a wonderful family run business! I booked the restaurant as a surprise for my father’s birthday I asked the staff (Grace) to put my parents on a table for 4 telling her I would be surprising my parents by joining them from London with my son! She did a brilliant job keeping it a secret and it was a picture seeing my parents reactions when we walked in! The food was absolutely delicious, generous portions and so reasonable! The staff were so accommodating, and really went out of the way to create a wonderful memory for my father! I’ll definitely make sure to come back each time I visit my parents! Thank you so much! ❤️

We have been to The Luxor twice in the last month, both times have been amazing. It is a lovely small family run restaurant. The staff are really friendly, and the dishes are amazing. We can’t wait to go back to try the moussaka!! The mezzo is fantastic, and so are the tagines. The meat falls off the bone, and they are served in the traditional Moroccan crockery. Please go here if you are looking for authentic food, made by chefs and a team that really care about what they are serving 😁 the menu prices are very reasonable too, and the portion sizes great. Ps. You have to get the homous, it’ll be the best you ever have Looking forward to visiting again!

The chargrilled chicken breast was absolutely sensational. The salad was perfectly dressed. The Baklava was the win for the day. Perfect blend of flavors and spices, a cozy atmosphere and great dining. P.S- Please use fresh flowers or no flowers at all, I think the tables are better off without the plastic flowers.

Looking for something a, little different then check out Luxor, in Charminster. Excellent Food, Service Good but can be a little slow at times, some background music would make the atmosphere more authentic, but overall still worthy of 5 Stars as You go her for Good Food.

Great evening as usual -wonderful, tasty food, competitively prices and huge quantities! The welcome is friendly and the service and banter with Grace great fun as always. Just a great way too spend an evening with friends! We had the mixed grill for 4 after a starter of hummus and flat bread.

As a group of 4 we shared hummus and flat bread to start followed by the enormous mixed grill platter for 4. Service was great as usual with Grace looking after us so well along with the usual banter! Perfect night out with friends!

Amazing meal and experience! This is by far the best restaurant in Charminster! Grace and Pedro were very welcoming and attentive as always. Moustafa cooked up an absolute feast that was delicious! Atmosphere is always relaxed and the food is always excellent!

We were so excited to go to this restaurant after a 300 mile journey to visit friends…..Let’s cut to the chase…..YOU DON’T EVER dump the main courses on somebody’s table while they are eating their starter and then try to offload their operational issues in our direction!!! “We have got a booking for 14 and don’t have enough staff so we have to look after them”….YES I was actually told that! Then when I went to pay the bill I was offered £5 discount which I refused. Truthfully I would not recommend this place simply because they have no ability to deal with pressure or to resolve problems when they arise.

Shambolic service, our main course was dumped on the table while we were eating our starter and we were told that they were short staffed and needed to focus on a table of 14!!! Our night was ruined.

Excellent service and food! We had 3 large mixed grill platters for a group of 22 people. Everything was very well cooked - the meat was really tender and well seasoned and the service was great. I particularly loved the charred flavour on the chicken wings, whilst they remained juicy and delicious. A place highly recommended!

We visited The Luxor for a family gathering of 15. We agreed a set menu at the time of booking. The food was top notch, plenty of variety and very reasonably priced. They also took very good care of one of our party who is dairy intolerant. Grace is lovely and really looked after us.
