Amazing food, extremely polite, hard-working and cheerful staff. A super welcoming and friendly atmosphere. To me, at least, this place had a very special feeling, as if I was at home. Would recommend greatly.

Really disappointed to find the restaurant closed after booking the same day online. The sign in the window said due to a technical issue they were closed for a few days, but they should have also closed the booking system and we wouldnt have wasted our time driving to Pangbourne

Have visited this restaurant on a number of occasions now and food and service consistently excellent. Would really recommend for food that is a little different from mainstream Indian restaurants.

Booked to have dinner at The Herd for my husband’s 50th birthday. It was the first time that we have been to The Herd and were very impressed with the food. Gigi performs her magic, by cooking your steak in eye-shot. We asked for our chateaubriand to be medium-rare and it was perfect, which does not always happen in some places. Was well worth the visit and will definitely be back. The only negative, was that the room was a bit chilly when we arrived.

Avoid if possible. Stopped to get chips before getting my train home, waited over 30 minutes as they'd not put the oil on even after they said it would take 7 mins. They would not refund me either despite not starting cooking the food yet. Awful customer service.

Tasteless food, lukewarm. Waited over an hour to get any food. Missed 2 meals from our order. Rest of us were done eating before the other 2 could start. The staff were blunt and unaccomodating.

Absolutely spot on, I'm a very honest customer here I took own a business and believe in honesty for reviews. The value for money is what stands out with exception food. The staff very friendly and can't do enough for you. Highly highly recommended best in the RG postcode

It disappointing really. Parked at the back and it shows as getting money off but this is for the shop next door, why not Costa? Coffee was disappointing as still offering the gingerbread option, but no sprinkles or gingerbread man. Why am I paying so much for just a shot of gingerbread flavouring? Minimal cakes so overall won’t come back. Used to be busy and popular but lack of investment is showing.

This cafe was a great find. Nice clean tables and friendly staff. We ordered simple cooked breakfasts which were prepared quickly. The food was very good indeed. Good value. Highly recommend.
