My family and I have been here many times, it’s always been good value for money and service used to be good. We went here again last week Sunday and were the only people in the whole restaurant. 3 starters came out cold and when we complained the waiter was extremely rude arguing that they’d just been made, however we pointed out that one of the samosas had ice in it. Which is very dangerous as my partner is pregnant. yet instead of apologising or offering something as an apology he was very rude and direct, basically holding a grudge the whole time. We’ve never complained before, so the fact he acted in this way to us made us vow we’d never go again. Terrible service.

Lovely atmosphere very friendly service and beautiful fresh cooked food. Would thoroughly recommend a meal there.

Such a lovely meal, the food was really good and the service could not have been better. They made a real effort to decorate the table as it was a special occasion. Will definitely be back.

It was welcoming, food was excellent, we tried the Sunday eat for £15 menu and it had lots of options and the food was first rate. We will go back

Very disappointed. What has happened to the standard of food at Miahs. I ordered a chicken shashlick, what came out was chicken tinted pink on a normal white plate with salad, rice and a naan bread. What happened to the sizzling dish that came out on a hot grill with peppers and onions? It’s such a shame as the food had no taste.

Hi iv been coming to both restaurants Pangbourne and Spencer wood for YEARS ALL MY FAMILY HAVE ALL SPECIAL TIME BIRTHDAYS ANNIVERSARYS AND SO ON NOW IM NOT THE ONE TO COMPLAIN BUT VALENTINS NIGHT MY SON WENT AND SAT DOWN WITH HES PARTNER SO I WAS BABY SITTING 💗 I HAD A TAKEAWAY COST ME NEARLY £50 POUNDS TO FIND ALL MY DISHES WAS COMPLETELY HORRIBLE THE CHICKEN INSIDE WAS PINK I HAD TO CHUCK IT ALL AWAY SO UNHAPPY BY THE WAY NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS IN YEARS

Great service ,friendly stuff and delicious food .

Recently I have visited mia's pangbourne restaurant.I eat variety of Tandury dishes, especially Chicken tikka main, malai chicken tikka and mixed grill just delicious and tasty.

Great variety and tasty entrees. Great service. We shared the chicken tikka masala and korma. The onion bhaji were huge!

We, like many others, received a menu for Miah's in Pangbourne through our front door. On Saturday we ordered a take away for delivery. It arrived promptly, the food was hot and the food was good. Unfortunately it wasn't 'till we dived into our mains that we found there was only one rice for the three mains. Two of the mains, according to the menu, came with either rice or rice and a nan. Spoke to them later that day and was told that the rice and nan only applied to JustEat orders. Certainly wasn't clear on the menu! They have offered a discount on the next order but if you're ordering from this menu TAKE CARE. You only get one attempt at making a first impression.

Always a favourite of mine. I've visited for many years and never once been disappointed. Great flavours and great selection. Friendly staff and an all round good dining experience. Thank you.

Great food. Well run. Reasonably priced. With curry, it's all about the flavour and this was good.

We have been regulars at Miahs for the last 2 years. Based on the overall experience it would be unfair to go for 1 or 2 stars as we have had some great takeaways from Miahs in that time. But unfortunately last nights experience was unforgiveable, we waited over 2.5 hours for the food to be delivered and then we were greeted with a delivery driver that basically laughed about it, stale poppadoms and missing items. It is not the first time we've waited for a very long time either. My advice with Miahs is avoid them during the busiest times as I don't think they have the capacity to keep up. Whether it's the kitchen or delivery team I don't know. Credit where it's due though, the food is generally of good quality on average and I'm sure eating in the restaurant is a different experience.

Very nice India restaurant, they do an all you can eat option if you like that.

I have used Miahs for 10 years but enough is enough the food is now terrible and they misplace orders and then lie about it, AVOID

1 of the waiters is absolutely useless he kept on over charging and getting orders wrong. Even the driver had to step in and help other than that the food was amazing.

The delivery driver demonstrated such professionalism even though there was a lot of difficulty with the address I was at. He was very patient and polite, using his initiative to get my food to me as quick as possible.

Very tasty food and great portions which are presented beautifully (popadom’s pickles and dips outstanding!), complemented by attentive and very friendly service. Highly recommend!

We have been hear lots of times and it has all ways been excellent today was not very good the samosa was cold bland and hardly had any filling the onion bhaji was extremely hard and all so cold and the main dish was Luke warm the hottest part of the meal was the flannels we got at the end to wash our hands no one asked us how our meal was thay all seemed to bizy with the take away side to look after the customers that was eating in We wear very disappointed

Decent curry at a decent price. I have found the wait for takeaways can be a lottery meaning that you can often pick up cold food or sit and wait on other occasions.

Poppadoms stale and my naan bread was very doughy and when I got to inform the waiter, I had eaten my main meal and was wishing to take the rest home. The waiter offered to send me home with a fresh naan to have when I ate the rest of the food that I was taking home. When I went to eat the naan the next day I was horrified to see that I had, what looked to be someones half eaten leftover naan. Looked like it had been taken off someone's plate! I contacted the restaurant and they assured me it wouldn't be leftovers and the manager was going to call me back. Didnt hear a thing. Very disappointed to say the least. No explanation given. Will not be returning! Shame there is no option to post a photo.

Best curry house around food is amazing

Good quality take aways from Miahs as Theale doesn't have anything to compare. Unfortunately often miss items on Just Eat orders which is a shame as distance is too far to rectify issue. Still keep coming back because of quality of take away.

The Egg fried rice is to die for but I always order a Lamb Tikka from any Indian/Pakistani restaurant because its mild and I don't like spice and my husband ordered the Biryani for the same reason. They were both so spicy we weren't able to finish them. I could have specified the spice level but didn't think it was necessary 🤔

Excellent meal, great service and surprisingly good value. We ate here after another local restaurant let us down (as in, were closed with no explanation despite us having booked) so were pleasantly surprised at how good this one was. They had some really original dishes on the menu, the food was well spiced and tasty; the staff were lovely and the service was good. We'll be back.

Ordered a takeaway from Miahs and it is the worst indian meal we have ever had. The other Iadian is much better in Pangbourne

Food was spot on and out of the world best one iv been to in a very long time me and the wife enjoyed and loved the food well worth a visit defo going back when I can when back in pangbourn of the boat in couple of weeks u must try the coffee lacquer with brandy yum Thank you

Great service, great food, this hidden gem is well worth the visit

This place is 90% miss / 10% a great curry. We’ve ordered and dined in a few times over the past 5 years, but both eating in and delivery we’ve had bad experiences - delivery takes 3 hours plus, eating in takes 4 hours to get through a meal because they are so slow and clearly overwhelmed. Don’t believe the “good food takes time” messaging on their website, you’re wasting your evening waiting dining with these guys.

Was told 45 minutes to delivery. Every time I called it was on its way. It never arrived. Appalling service. 3 hours later we were left a hungry family

Over the years I have many take aways from various Indian, Chinese or Thai restaurants. I don't know if Miahs has changed it's chef, but something has changed. Miahs in Pangbourne IS by far the BEST takeaway in the Reading area. Full of taste not overly hot but you know its there, but the flavours and layers of the other spices come through. As tasty as Atol Kultcher restaurant in Marlow

We really don’t know how this place isn’t fully booked every night. The food, service, and atmosphere are incredible. We would, in particular, recommend the Murgh Isabegol Tikka starter/side. Absolutely delicious!

Disgusting service made an order at 6.15 pm and was told it would be delivered no later than an hour , at 8.00pm the management came up with excuse after excuse and then completely cancelled my order as he suggested I was not understanding. Errrr hello . Was rude dismissive and blatantly arrogant , never at once apologised for being extremely late , just over talked my voice and cut me off

Placed an order for Saturday night delivery, received order number confirmation. Paid for the items ordered, but they never turned up. When I rang up to ask where my delivery was they said that they couldn't find it. Wouldn't ever use them again, unreliable, no customer service.

Poor, really disappointing. More potato than meat, generally pretty bland and tasteless. Picture is of chicken madras but lamb keema was stuffed with spuds as well and very little meat. Won’t be going back

Second time we've ordered a delivery take away and each time it's been the same. Last time we ordered it for 8pm and it arrived about 7.23pm and this time we ordered for 7.30pm and it arrived 7.05pm. Clearly the time request makes no difference. As before, the food was only slightly warm, and the naan bread was almost cold. Poppadums were stale so we didn't eat them. The restaurant clearly waits until it's got enough orders to deliver in one go, regardless of how long ago the meals were cooked and how long they've been sitting going cold while waiting to be delivered. The food's nice enough to eat inside the restaurant but the delivery service and the quality of the food being delivered is poor. Won't order a take away again.

Very quiet. I was only customer when I entered. Very good weekday evening meal. Choices for starters and main meal. Eat all you want - with minor rule: finish one dish before ordering next. £15. Excellent value.

Overall very disappointing, would not recommend, chicken tikka in the curry’s tasted very strange as did the sauce itself, chicken wings very chewy too. So much better quality in around tilehurst area.

My friends and I had our first meal at Miahs Pangbourne this evening and the service, food and overall experience was nothing short of impeccable. Staff were more than courteous, being attentive yet not too invasive. The food was cooked to perfection and every single dish was served hot and bursting with flavour. I even asked the server to make my Massala a little spicier and it was incredible! Even then once we finished our meal we asked to take away our leftovers and with such precision and efficiency the waitress packaged it all up precisely how we wanted. The wonderful waiter, Jay, very kindly asked me to write this review and I couldn't be happier to. The server with the black shirt who boxed up our leftovers was wonderful also. I would happily order from here again or dine in without a doubt. They really care about their quality of service and their customers. 10/10

Went there on the off chance it was the best curry I have eaten for a very longtime. The service was fantastic made you feel important, would highly recommend.

Had a wonderful meal here this evening. The food was delicious...fresh and very big portions. The staff treated us like royalty and made us feel so welcome. I would HIGHLY recommend this restaurant to anyone!

The foods great, but the 30% increase in price is too much. Cheaper to order on just eat compared to ordering directly?! . But half the menu is missing on just eat. Makes no sense at all. Greed never wins.

But let me tell you something, it may look fancy inside, clean and shinny, the guys in the front waiting you in costumes, ready to take your order with their bright smile. But in the backstage, my friends, there is a different world, a world where if you are turning in a mosquito and fly there, sitting on the wall for 1 day just to look arround...Ohh ! I booked a table here for 1230 on the 19 August , at 1225 just as I had parked and was walking into the restaurant they rang me and cancelled my booking, it was then too late to book anywhere else, extremely disappointed and totally wasted trip

I was really looking forward to our meal. It arrived 1hr 45 mins after the order, it was not a complete order, the house white wine was a £4.99 10% bottle that I could get at the local shop, they charging £17 for. Absolute farce! The food was salty and uneatable. I've resorted to cooking chicken n chips from the freezer, I'll never order from there again. I will stay with Asian Spice. They do proper food!

Ordered take away as conronavirus about 3 hours ago and as a treat for my daughter's birthday Still waiting , they're not responding to any correspondence/ phone calls !. We've paid by credit card so I guess they've put it through already. Terrible service and would advice all others to look elsewhere.

Absolutely fantastic food, and the staff are so friendly and attentive. Brilliant service. The vegan curries we had were some of the best ever tasted, and were definitely on a par with the ones we had on our travels around India last year. Couldn't have picked a better restaurant on our first visit to this area...if you are ever in the area, you must try it!!!

My wife and I went for a Friday lunch and had the Miahs meal for two. Good service, very nice food and friendly service. Only the second time we had been there. We shall go back again.

Ordered a take away via just eat. Everything went well until the order was running late they text me to say 20mins extra which is fine good service. It was still late after that I contacted just eat who said another 20min it turned up over 2 hours from ordering.after unpacking the food the food was over cooked burnt and cold. So I call the restaurant to complain and was told they are too busy for my call and hung up the phone. I called back and was told the same too busy to deal with this call today and they hung up again I tried to call 3 more times and they did not answer. We will never ever eat there again the customer service is non existent.

Loved it! Helpful notes on the menu told you how hot each item was so you could get the heat you wanted (lack of it in my case!) and the food was delicious.

I have never been so let down by a restaurant. Food arrived 2.5 hours later than advised (3.5 hours total). Almost chewed my own arm off in hunger. Called several times to be told driver was 10 mins away, even tried to cancel for a refund but told they couldn’t process as it was ordered through Just Eat. Wouldn’t order here again even if life depended on it. AVOID. Would give negative stars if I could.

Terrible experience, my order was booked for delivery at 20:25, I rang at 20:50 to be told it would be 5 or 10 minutes, I rang at 21:15 to be told the same and was hung up on. The restaurant line was then unavailable and unreachable, the takeaway finally turned up at about 10pm. Extremely bad service and experience.

Worst experience ever, ordered the food at 7PM and the expected delivery was 8:30... still nothing so I called them and there was no pick up, the ‘restaurant’ finally picked up at 10PM saying that they cancelled our order, no dinner tonight because they did not think to let us know that the pathetic ‘restaurant’ cancelled... avoid at all costs

There are three Indian restaurants in this town and we are glad we picked Miahs. Good service and superb food. Also, they cater well for those needing Gluten Free options.

Worst delivery service ever. 2 h waiting for food.local restaurant not able to find address and not even call or email. Proposed that we have to go an pick up the food ourselves OUTRAGEOUS! Writing this while sat waiting to pick up a take away. Told 30 mins on phone when ordering, arrived 30 minutes later and have been sat here for over half an hour. Total joke, and just heard the muppet answer the phone and tell some other unsuspecting customer their order will be ready in 30 minutes. Probably quicker to take the train to London for a curry than try a takeaway from here.
