Majority of staff are very welcoming and professional, However a few individuals seem to lack customer service. Food and coffee was great, and atmosphere was nice. Very clean and service was quick and easy. Would be a shame to let a those specific staff members ruin the experience for other customers and fellow colleagues.

Unfortunately, their Wi-Fi isn’t working. Avoid if you need connectivity. Updated Sep 2024: Wi-Fi is working but their internet link is very poor 😬

It wasn't very welcoming and dirty. I had a coffee and a hash brown, cost over £6.

Well if you are one of the many people like me who take their laptops to coffee shops to work, and depend on the wifi, forget it. The wifi at Costa Pangbourne never works and despite being repeatedly asked, they do nothing to fix it. What's worse, the mobile (4G) connection in the centre of Pangbourne is zero so you are unlikely even to be able to use your phone to connect to the Net. Instead, just sit there and enjoy your overpriced coffee.

If you want wifi with your latte, forget it. They've been told hundreds of times to fix their wifi but it either never works or is so slow as to be unusable. So if you're the kind of person who likes to have a coffee and get some work done, go elsewhere.

Today at 10.30 I visited for the first time with my husband Costa Cafe in Pangbourne,Reading. We were fascinated by this cafe. The staff was extremely friendly and worked professionally, they were constantly cleaning and serving the tables, the cafe has very nice outdoor tables in front of cafe and back of it. I recommend it to Costa lovers this cafe and I have definitely saved it as a favourite place.

I would 10000% not recommend this costa, the manager called Fankeer was dreadful to the staff, while having my lovely bacon roll I witnessed him shouting at the poor workers!!!! He needs firing, absolute disgrace

I don't like to be negative in my views of people but Wow!!!!!! While waiting for my Coffee to be prepared to take away I was told very bluntly by "Maddie" that I wasn't allowed to consume a tiny piece of Chocolate I already had in my hand because it wasn't purchased from Costa!? When really it was because she wasn't competent in pouring water into my cup without it overflowing and me mentioning it to her. Basically she isn't very happy and is clearly without manners!!!

Excellent, very attentive. I sat at a place of my choice in the room where the table for 4 had excellent accommodation, but during the time I was there the table had utensils that 2 other people had previously used and at no point did the service staff remove them.

Bloody noisy place. Otherwise, it just your generic Costly Coffee joint.

Don’t take Amex so had to walk to cash point to pay. Then overcharged me - didn’t apply the discount for breakfast when buying a coffee. Didn’t realise until after I’d sat down and was far enough ordering let alone trying to explain and request a correction.

It is a nice place to have some coffee. The staff is very helpful! It will be great if the could have choices for people dieting, Low Gi ...coffee is great

Whoever owns the franchise in Berkshire chooses their staff well. The two girls in today were so busy yet so calm and professional and they could put your worst fears to rest . They socialise and explain and were truly made you feel humble Well worth a visit

Pangbourne costa is a lovely little stop. Friendly staff and all the lovely Costa coffee n delights you’d expect.

Nipped in to grab a quick bite to eat and a drink; no queue so we served very quickly by friendly staff. Drinks and hot food were down quickly and there was plenty of places to sit. We chose larger comfy seats and relaxed after a hectic couple of hours of work. There’s a car park behind as well should you be passing by and need to park.

As a short cut from the car park to Ninos Coffee Shop it is very useful.

Lovely staff. Otherwise, just the usual Costa food and drinks.

I visited Costa today whilst cycling and had an incident with my bike. Paul from Costa was so helpful and came to my aide! Fab coffee and friendly helpful service 😊👍

I understand from numerous sources that this business disconnected it's competitor neighbour Ninos water supply to disrupt their trading; from another SM account; Just wanted to rant. On Saturday morning, July 1st, Costa, inexcusably decided to turn off Nino's Deli water supply. The hierarchy felt they were taking away business from them, which is total nonsense! Yesterday, I spoke to the owner of Nino's, along with several other very frustrated patrons, & he said they are likely to be closed until at least Friday July 7th! What a DISGRACE, Costa should be ashamed & embarrassed after what they did. My family & I are boycotting Costa, & suggest aa many people do the same! Thank you. Pangbourne resident

Having heard that this business have cut off the water supply to a small, independent deli next door (who happen to also sell coffee) I will not be going into Costa Pangbourne again.

One would hope places like Costa Coffee help support other local businesses in Pangbourne. Not sabotage them. Will absolutely be avoiding this place, while letting everyone know what they’ve done until they make things right. Glad lots of locals also seeing the evil-doings of this corporation

Friendly welcome, excellent staff who worked as a team, were very attentive and kept the tables clear and spotlessly clean. Couldn't see any m & S food. Costa coffee is reliably ok. Pre- packed food isn't anything special.

We popped in twice during our stay in Pangbourne. On both occasions were friendly, cheerful and helpful. In both cases this was near the end of their working day and their approach was so welcome.

Not exactly a welcoming atmosphere and the toilet left a lot to be desired.

Not too fussed with Costa as I typically like a straight forward black filter which they don't do. Last couple of weeks we've visited the Pangbourne cafe twice - the first time there was no white hot chocolate or the syrup (whatever one it was) that the kids like. The second visit was better and I'm slowly coming round to their small americano with half the added water which tastes pretty ok. The staff are nice but like all of these places they work at 100 miles an hour so engagement is limited. The Pangbourne shop is nice and clean and seems popular whenever I'm in the village.

I visit here every day. Even though, in recent years, making a cup of coffee has somehow grown into a complicated rigmarole involving steam and pipes and presses and froth, the staff here manage to produce your desired beverage very quickly and accurately with a pleasant smile and excellent service. One of the best Costa Coffee Houses I have been to. If you want excellent coffee and cakes this is the place. I would not advise you to have a sandwich though. Limited selection not tasty. The cooked snacks are all high in fat, cholesterol and saturates Go to the nearby O'Brien's, or The Garden Cafe, but as a coffee House this Costa's is the best!

Costa is normally a safe bet for coffee, but this time I didn't have any, so I cannot comment on this specific shop. I had pastries, though, and in recent years I almost always found that Costa is not the best place to get them. This time made no exception: pastries were OK but they weren't fresh or crisp... taste was fine and I was in a rush to get some sugary food while on a long bike ride, but given the option I would not get them here again. Service was so and so... Covid measures were in place, which was a welcome sight, but service was a little slow and the two waiters seemed a little disorganised. Although not particularly friendly, they were polite and doing what probably was their best to serve customers as quickly as possible. Even though I was hoping to spend less time in the queue, I wouldn't really complain about service overall. Facilities and toilets seemed clean.

Went to meet a friend who was treating me. We both decided on teacakes but was told they are out of stock so I chose the carrot cake and I csn honestly say it was the dryist cake I have ever tasted. I should know as I'm a cake maker. Never leave cake slices uncovered !!!

Good service, friendly and welcoming staff. Always get a nice cuppa in a pleasant surrounding... Good selection of cakes, toasted panini's and toasted sandwiches.. I think there is offroad parking at the back of the costa too, but never figured out how to get to it : )

Costa has defo gone down hill lost its magic feel it should be an experience. STAFF RUDE DONT GET DRINKS RIGHT. Visited x4 times my iced caramel latte came out like dishwater after 4 wrong orders i'm reviewing. The lady moaned i spilt drink on floor pardon me for carrying MY OWN DRINKS to table. Staff should be trained how to make drinks & served with a smile 😃

Went there for a mid morning coffee run, and all the drinks we got, were not filled to the top like they usually are. Very disappointed

Had lovely coffee sitting at a table in the sun on their patio behind the shop. Toilets were open for which I was very grateful! Would have given 5 stars except the bin was overflowing.

Normally stop in after collecting my baby from nursery, I won't be in the future though. It is a bitterly cold day and was barked an order to wait outside... In the bitter cold with a baby! I was stood more than 2 metres away from anyone else and saw no issue. Pangbourne shop.
