I’m here at Ruby’s in Tunbridge Wells tucking into my Banoffee cake (vegan, but as delicious or even better, than any you’ve tasted—fresh, moist, opulent) and…check this out: my gorgeous Rhubarb and Custard tea. Yes, rhubarb. Aromatic, flavourful, divine. The ladies served me with a smile, helping me to choose between all the cakes that look scrumptious. My ‘feel good’ place for tea in TW. Only wish they’d close a little later in the afternoon now it’s springtime so I can visit more often. Thankyou Ruby’s
You will not go in a better cafe than this.
Inside and out immaculate.
Friendly people perfectly cooked breakfast great service.
Old school how things should be done great credit to staff and owners
Came here as a recommendation for gluten free pizzas. My daughter has coeliac disease and is highly reactive. The chef could not guarantee cross contamination, which we appreciated, so we were told we could eat the Tapas here and non GF pizza for the rest of our party, and they could bring the GF burger from next door (Saint John's Yard). Saint John's Yard could not guarantee the chips being gluten free - therefore The Shuffle House offered to cover that with Nachos.
Little did we know, we would be charged for the nachos, which we were told would replace the chips (as they are affiliated with Saint John's Yard we assumed this was organised between both restaurants), then we had to go next door to pay for the burger that cost £17 - for JUST a burger may I add - with no empathy to the situation. A gluten free pizza that was going to cost us £14/15 ended up being a plain, dry GF burger for £17 with no chips. The issue here was really with Saint John's Yard as The Shuffle House really tried their best for us. It was just a shame they couldn't see our frustration for paying for a burger in a bun as a full meal, and then extra for the nachos.
The lady who handled our table was absolutely unreal. She was amazing and couldn't do more for us. The two bar ladies who served our drinks were really lovely too and very accommodating when we told them we were sat right by the freezing breeze by the fire exit. The service really was amazing and the shuffle board was fun, as were the cocktails - but sadly, we can't recommend this for a gluten free meal.
This is a great local fish & chips shop, fast efficient food with friendly staff, prices are increasing but still better than many other fish & chip shops.
You call telephone your order in so even faster collection. Good range of items on the menu. Highly recommend that you try it.
Lovely friendly local restaurant with fresh greek style food, delicious good wine! We arrived early but shown to a nice table reasonably priced will definitely be back
Had deliveroo delivery and it was truly awful food.
Chips and fish had been reheated and the batter was full of grease and baked solid..
Would never order again!
We were there for a business dinner, place it self very well decorated and service was really good as well.
Specially lamb they cook on charcoal are perfectly fine.
I would definitely going back with our colleague.
One would not expect anything serving in a shopping mall to be even halfway decent and who wants to drink coffee in a shopping area? But this place is good. Great coffee, good snack type food and very good value.
Food excellent as was the service. Atmosphere very congenial. This was our first visit but it won't be our last as the afternoon tea that came past us looked amazing.
