The Shuffle House in Tunbridge Wells

We came here for a quick lunch after playing at Clue Cracker on a late Sunday afternoon, and a quick lunch we did not get. The kitchens are separate, with tapas from one and pizza from the other, and at not one point was this made clear to us before placing our order. Bear this in mind when ordering. We ordered 2 pizzas and 4 tapas dishes. The tapas arrived within 15 minutes of ordering, the pizzas were nowhere to be seen. 25 minutes passed, so we asked where the pizzas were. It was only at this point did they tell us the kitchens were separate, but assured us it wouldn't be long. 35 minutes and the tapas dishes were finished, but 2 people were still waiting for their food. We complained and they told us the food would be with us shortly. It took a total of 45 minutes for the pizzas to arrive. No apology, no offer of discount. Nothing. The food here is good, and I do really enjoy the pizzas (although Cantuccio's on Camden Road is definitely better), but not when you have to wait 45 minutes and watch other people finish their meals.

Took my two sons for a late lunch and game of shuffle board. First time for me. Helpful and friendly staff, lovely decor and a really relaxed feel. Stayed on for food, had mixed grill platter, calamari and cassava croquettes. All superb, meat tender, brilliantly cooked, calamari soft and croquettes very unusual with cheese filling. I can’t wait to come back for dinner with my husband, great food, good value!

Booked a table for lunchy with my daughter, wanted to change it, no problem. Food absolutely delicious, we overordered (generous portions!) and took some home! Pork belly and duck tacos delish... very friendly staff, will def visit again! Excellent.

We enjoyed a wonderful evening at the Sgufflehouse. The set up for a party of 17 was excellent and the service throughout the evening was impeccably managed by Emma and her team without any dramas. The menu & drink choices were more than required and the flow was seemless. The Shuffle tables added a dimension to the evening and was was much enjoyed. I would thoroughly recommend it and they made the evening memorable.

We booked a table for a very quick meal between escape rooms. On arrival we explained that we’d just done one room and had 45 minutes until we needed to be at the next room. The staff were amazing, they let each other know we were tight on time, took orders quickly, helped with doing pizzas we’d like and were really on top of things. Food arrived quickly and everything ran so smoothly we even had time to relax! As an absolute bonus the food was absolutely delicious. So glad we were able to squeeze it in

Visited in-between escape rooms at Clue Cracker , food was amazing , we ordered pizza and some tapas between us and everything tasted great. Service was great staff were friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We are not local but next time we are in the area will definitely be popping in .

Good food, shocking service. Waited an extra 25 minutes for our table on arrival and then received the most half arsed patronising service throughout. The food was decent enough.

We were a group of 7 adults, 2 young children and 2 babies and had such a lovely time at Shuffle House. From the moment we arrived the staff were so welcoming and warm to our kids, going out of their way to chat to them and help them feel part of everything. The food was absolutely delicious, a mix of pizza and tapas and all just so good. Highly recommend and we can’t wait to visit again soon.

Fantastic service and a great choice of freshly cooked pizzas ensured that our family gathering was a success. The venue’s decor is bright and comfortable, and you can dine inside or out (weather permitting). Shufflehouse has a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere and its food menu is creative, varied and offers great value. Young children are well catered for too and can eat for free at specific times. Today’s waitress looked after our large party very well and was friendly and professional throughout; nothing was too much trouble. This is a great local choice for anyone who enjoys quality pizza and tapas in a lively, fun venue.

An absolutely great venue. We had a pizza and a few tapas dishes and all of them were excellent. The pizza especially was wonderfully fresh and light and the ingredients were superb quality. The drinks were great as well but most of all - the service was absolutely superb. Amber was a brilliant host; really efficient but friendly and helpful as well.

This place offers good food but as a restaurant experience it leaves a lot to be desired. Firstly the food is split into two kitchens - pizzas in one and tapas in another. They do make that clear from the start BUT our pizza arrived within 10 minutes whereas the tapas took 35 minutes from the time of ordering. It’s a popular place so any criticism seems to be dismissed as “we’re busy what do you expect”. We’ve been there on three separate occasions so the simple advice is don’t visit on a busy night!

Had some food here in between 2 escape rooms & it was lovely. 3 of us had a selection of tapas and one had the pizza. All of them were delicious and were freshly cooked.

Hreat atmosphere, delicious food and cocktails and great menu, and the shuffle boards were so much fun! Had such a good evening, topped off by a clue racker escape room which was absolutely brilliant, 10/10 for this place will be returning for sure to order the rest of the delicious menu

I went to the shuffle house with a couple friends and we were sharing tapas, we specifically asked for no seeds and nuts as my friend as an allergy. We saw the waitress write down on her pad to not include any of these, however, when the food arrived one dish (pork belly) was completely covered in sesame seeds. We pointed it out and another waitress was quick to apologise and sent it back, we then got the dish again to find it still had sesame seeds in the sauce of the dish (before they were all over the top too). I would never usually write a review, but I think it’s awful this allergy seemed to not be taken into consideration enough.
