A recommendation from a group member and it delivered a good lunch. The place is vintage, shabby chic and eclectic which made it more interesting however, the apparently tarnished soup spoon was slightly off putting for one of us. The sandwiches are doorstops but tasty.. The service was efficient. I’ll return and bring my husband this time!

It is a small, local pub. The people and the owner Driton (I guess he is the owner and I am not sure if I spelled his name correctly) were very friendly. We were driving passed, little lost and I desperately needed to go to the toilet. We saw that pub in nowhere, stopped and order something before using the toilet. Driton was so friendly, he said we don’t need to buy anything for using the toilet unlike some other pubs’ where the toilets are only for the use of the customers” rule. If we weren't in a hurry to go to our friends’ house we would like to spend more time with these lovely people. We stayed around 10-15 minutes but it was like being in a family. The pub is little old fashion but very lovely. There are lots of photographs and big, old, iron cutlery on the walls. No food service but there are variety of nibbles. Clean toilets. The only thing I didn’t like is the boar’ head on the wall. Hope it is not real.

Absolutely lovely pub. We were walking around the area, popped in here, got some great lunch and drinks. Friendly and welcoming. Later I heard this is owned by the locals who all chipped in to make sure it stayed in their village. Well, they are doing a fabulous job.!

Family visit. Once we were given the correct menu ( not the one from 2016 on the website ) we ordered several days in advance. This didn’t stop us being told at the table that many items were unavailable. Manager, who hid behind the waiting staff rather than visiting our table, alleged that an email had been sent to us on Boxing Day. A check of in box and junk box failed to reveal this. OK we gratefully received some free deserts as compensation but these things shouldn’t happen and when they do just admit that you are out of these dishes ( or, more likely given the time of year, they are still in the freezer). I swapped to a Sunday roast which was just OK. Have visited the MM many times and the wow factor was missing this time. Maybe the time between Christmas and New Year isn’t a priority and everyone is a bit tired.
