Hadlow Kebab & Fish Bar in Tonbridge and Malling

I have been living out of Hadlow for a year now and all the time I lived in Hadlow for 22 years I always forgot to write a review!! The staff, mylea and her lovely work colleagues are so friendly every time I’ve gone in there, always chatty and welcoming!! Amazing service and bloody fantastic food

Terrible experience today, haven’t ordered from here for a while but definately won’t be ordering again!!! Beef and onion pie completely dry and inedible!!! If fact, disgusting!!! If I could post a picture I would :-(

A truly awful experience. Staff miserable and sullen. Battered sausage was inedible. Went in the bin. Cod was like a pre battered frozen piece that you’d cook in the oven. Went in the bin. Chips were cooked through but not crisp, just soggy and white. Went in the bin. Curry sauce was cold and solid. Went in the bin. Avoid at all costs.

Hadlow Grill started so well..friendly staff and good, fresh food..value for money..etc literally only visited as my son wanted a kebab after a longish drive to visit my mum..£8 for a small kebab, not very fresh salad and overpriced dry, old kebab meat that I would have preferred to have given to my dogs..my mum tried it and didn't even know it was meat!! totally miserable service at rip of prices...if you're working in service try and smile, don't chew gum in a really obvious way and try and be happy to customers...you might even feel better and get more customers!!

Had fish and chips, for £7.20 the fish was small. £2.30 for a very small amount of mushy peas. The food was hot when we received it but the fish wasn't that great. Probably won't be returning

Small portion of chips and a battered sausage for nearly a fiver 😳. I’ve been to loads of other chip shops which are not only cheaper but give a bigger portion of chips. Would never use again . Lost my trade

The guy serving tonight was watching something on his mobile phone and without looking up ask for my order. Pitta with Humus and salad, and a chicken kebab I said. Charged me £16 I thought thats a it pricey. I got served a large Donner, a chicken kebab and chips. To tired to be bothered to argue. The salad bar looked dreadfully, really untidy. During serving he dropped the tongs and washed them in a hand wash basin. The garlic sauce had run out so he took the plunger and and was digging the contents out of the bottle and using the end of the pick up tube on the plunger to splodge it on the kebab. Might not go back....

Despite being in a pandemic we were forced to wait inside for our food ith 5 other customers, which we ordered via telephone so we wouldn't need to wait. We waited at least 30mins for our food. Overpriced, never spent so much on fish and chips. Rude staff also. Won't be ordering from here again!!

Handled money before directly touching food. Spilt sauce all over hands and then tried wiping sauce off hands into sauce pot to serve. Then argued with customer about order being wrong. Expensive to top it all off. Will never return

Ordered large chips ( just enough for 1 person !!!!)... I wanted to take them back and tell them to stuff it ! cheaper to buy potatoes and make my own for what they charge!!! Staff rude and miserable. Hate to think what a small portion of chips would look like !!! Never go there again ! Kebabs is good tho . Best stick to what you know and where !

I don’t usually get chips from this place but was passing by and thought why not. I went in to order my food being 3 small chips. 2 cod and a saveloy. After that being agreed with the man behind the till he then shouted the price to me from two foot away not wearing a mask or with any COVID protection measures in place. The food was handled with bare hands despite being sanitised it seems slightly pointless if your breathing on the food anyway with 2 other guys working directly next to you unmasked. The food was mediocre and the service was the same standard as the bloke who sells dodgy dvds in lewisham market

food from the take away fish bar is very good.It is clean and staff really friendly. Will eat from here again as plenty of flavour and not too greasy.

Whenever we get fish and chips this is where we go, lovely food good staff and quick service. Sometimes parking can be tricky backing out on to the main road though.

Probably my 4th visit, very friendly staff again, quick prompt service, looks very clean. Looking forward to my next chicken kebab wrap.

I tried the takeaway from here maybe a month ago and it was delicious, really nice chip shop chips with a chicken Shish and a Doner Kebab, salad fresh etc, portion size I would say was generous. However we tried it again this evening, again a chicken Shish and a combo lamb Shish with doner meat, unfortunately the lamb Shish was so over salted it made the meat (which was also grossly over cooked) inedible, weirdly it didn’t taste like lamb at all, it had a very odd taste indeed, the chicken was also over cooked. Doner meat was nice, salad very nice and the chips delicious. I would hesitate to order from here again because of this evenings offerings.

My partner and I have always had excellent food from Hadlow Grill. So much so that we have become regular faces. The staff are also very friendly and have got to know us on a personal basis which has added that extra touch. Definitely recommend...

Every time we go into the grill the staff are personal and friendly! The burgers are delicious and so definitely recommend. Big portions as well, so well worth the money!

Absolutely shocking! Ordered from here - got told half an hour to 45 minutes! 1 hour passed so phoned and they said driver was on his way! Another 30 minutes later still no food so phoned again and said I did not want my food...

This is one of the best chip shops in the area. The fish tastes fresh and has good portion sizes. There are other options like diner kebab and shish kebabs on the grill as well. You can preorder and pay online using Just Eat.

My only complaint about this place is that I can't finish the food, there's so much of it. Good standard fish and chips, kebabs, burgers etc, and friendly staff.
