We returned to this traditional English pub for our anniversary, having met there 8 years prior. Great food and plenty of customers for a mid-week lunch is a nod to the landlord, who was super friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be back for our next anniversary, if not before!

We ate three breakfasts and suppers and enjoyed the bar as well during our three-night stay. I have to say with all honesty everything was always perfect, from the food to the service. The ambience of the manor also creates a positive mood, classic yet relaxed. We also enjoyed seating outdoors with relaxing green views.

So disappointing! We've been coming to the Fox ever since it first existed, but this place has gone seriously downhill recently. Our takeaway this evening was truly the worst meal we've ever had from the Fox. First up, the order was incorrect. All the dishes were either bland (squid, spring rolls, satay chicken, soup and fried rices), or just had odd tastes (singapore noodles). This place used to produce the most amazing Thai dishes, but sadly not any more. When we called back to give feedback, there was an apology and only an assurance that "nothing has changed". Oh dear. Will not be revisiting.

Stoped here overnight on the way to Cornwall. Great pub food was amazing although kitchen did run out of things quite early. No sausages and only 6 people at breakfast. Bar staff were friendly and helpful, room was very comfy and had the biggest bath I've ever seen.

We called in for a pub lunch after 40 years since we last visited as we was based in the camp just up the road. And it was one of our local pubs, not a lot changed but I do say maybe a few landlord's. Brought a few memoirs back to us all. Very friendly landlord's Man n Wife team the ploughmans lunch was well proportioned and very tasty the beverages had a good choice. Loverly village pub well worth the visit recommend. Only thing I can find fault with is parking limited but no fault of the pub . Also has loverly beer garden when weather permits which it did for us. We will be back next year for our reunion see you then.

We stayed for 1 night and thoroughly enjoyed it. The attention to detail was impressive, from the beautifully arranged fresh flowers in the communal areas to the delicious home baked shortbread biscuits in our room. The breakfast was also to a very high standard, with original twists on some of the traditional favourites that would sit well on the menu of a high class bistro. The bedroom was very well furnished with the Hypnos mattress contributing to a good nights sleep. We hope to be back !
