The best restaurants in Central Rother South East

Superb place if you want a decent meal for a good price served by excellent and understanding staff. It makes such a rare find to get a restaurant like this now days. I had roast beef and it was lovely. And it had PROPER roast potatoes too !! My partner had Half rack of ribs and it was no effort from the staff to change the menu as SHE WANTED !! Well done leah and Charlotte . Great service !

We visited here after reading great reviews. Regrettably what we have just experienced for £60 has been appalling. Two dishes arrived before drinks - they were actually intended for another table it later transpired. The seafood cocktail was barely defrosted seafood mix in a watery ‘sauce’, the waiter had no idea what the dishes were, the cocktails took forever to arrive..it goes on. When I complained I was told the chef was away and they were trying to cover things. They were failing miserably. I’m genuinely anticipating the possibility that we will have food plus from tonight. Do not believe the photos before on here - we saw nothing like those dishes tonight.

I often come here for morning coffee with friends and we are normally very happy with the coffee, but the last couple of times we have all agreed that the coffee is not as good as it used to be. Is it a different kind of coffee or do you have a new Barista? It is always very busy when we come so perhaps the coffee making has just been a bit rushed? I wonder whether anyone else has said anything. Hope it was just a blip as we love everything else about the cafe.

Delicious!!! Worth seeking out. The owners were so lovely and supplied my dog some water on a very hot day. The ice creams we had were very good.

Had a wonderful afternoon with friends at aFic this week. Colin has beautiful wines and lovely snacks (we had tempura prawns, breaded mushrooms, cheese & crackers). Just the best! Booking advised.

A friend and I enjoyed an impromptu coffee and cheeky slice of cake at this lovely friendly coffee shop. It looked so inviting and we found a great spot with a sofa which was prefect for a girlie natter. The staff were so friendly and it felt so homely as soon as you arrived through the door. The cappuccino and latte coffees were presented beautifully and were a very decent size, clearly freshly made and pipping hot. There was a whole range of sweet and savoury foods but as we just wanted a small bite on this occasion we opted for the cinnamon bun which was just delicious. We shall definitely return very soon and thank you all at the Copper Moon for making our visit such a pleasant and enjoyable experience.

I got a takeaway from here as I’m not well and didn’t fancy cooking. Been here before and it was just as amazing this time around. The food was excellent, so delicious. Nice and friendly staff and so quick to make such great food. I had some for dinner and saved the rest for a snack later in the night! The food was very well priced. I Will be back many times!

Absolutely beautiful food. The best quality and wonderful service. Can’t think of when I’ve enjoyed a meal so much. The best place for miles round!

Stunning, always stunning. Haven’t had anything that isn’t fresh and delicious! Best take away in Bexhill, hands down, even the delivery driver is lovely. We’ve tried the; sushi, tacos, loaded fries, the ice cream is to die for, over numerous deliveries! Looking forward to trying the burgers and puddings next.

Always loved strive, really hope the current closure will be temporary and will be back soon, was our favourite go to place, and we're really missing it! Please come back in time for Christmas cakes!

As it was my son's 34th birthday we (my wife & I, our son & his girlfriend) booked Sunday lunch for 12.30pm on Sunday, 19th Jan because we had heard such good reports. We were all delighted at the choice of Mains from steaks, chicken & Sunday roasts. I had the baked camembert as a starter & the Louisiana Chicken for my main course. The food for all for of us was plentiful & delicious but in hindsight I probably didn't need the starter as the Main was fantastic. In fact I had to take some of the chicken home in a 'doggy bag' which the staff were happy to provide. A great choice of beers (alcohol & non-alcoholic) were also provided. But best of all was the service provided by the staff. We were served by Leah & Charlotte who were excellent. We will be back soon.

Stayed here for work and absolutely lovely hotel. The service, rooms, location and breakfast were exceptional. Will be requesting to stay here more.
