The best restaurants in Redlands Reading South East

A fabulous find. Lovely food and staff. We made sure we went back the following day before our journey back up north. The strawberry juice was particularly excellent ❤️

Pedimos desde aquí para la fiesta de graduación de mi madre y todos nuestros invitados estaban muy contentos. La comida llegó a tiempo y la cantidad fue muy justa. La calidad fue de primera categoría fue muy deliciosa. Ordenaría nuevamente si tuviera la oportunidad.

De los pasteles a los batidos, quedé impresionado. No es muy caro y sigue siendo un buen lugar para disfrutar de algunas delicias veganas.

Delicious Polish fare, took me back to my childhood. Excellent Chicken broth, great meat pierogi. Introduced my partner to the goulash and potato pancakes who thought it was to die for. We will be returning although live near High Wycombe.

Cafe Yolk used to be a favourite spot, especially when Sunny was involved. His passion and attention to detail really set the tone for the place, and it showed in everything from the menu to the service. Since his departure, however, it feels like something important has been lost. The quality of the food has noticeably declined, and the once-friendly atmosphere has become a bit lackluster. It’s disappointing to see a place that had so much potential fall short. Here’s hoping they can recapture the magic that made Cafe Yolk so special in the past!

The food was incredible. The cold starters we had were so fresh and flavourful and the mixed meat sharing platter was so good. The moretti zero was nice too. Friendly and accommodating staff. Good value for money too. We also had some complimentary Turkish tea with our Baklava which was a lovely ending to our fabulous feast.

Roast dinner was OK but not enough gravy and only 1 pig in blanket (there should have been at least 2-3 IMO) the Roast potatoes was ok but I prefer crispy ones For value for money this wasn't good enough

Great Fish and Chips at a reasonable price, Although they accept card payments - I fully support giving small businesses cash as for every transaction they have to pay the card machine company a percentage fee, I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants great tasting traditional Fish and chips.

Have taken away the option to have food at any point of day so if you have a campus card meal plan you must now trek to eat at the square and try your best to cut into rock solid parsnips

No poppadoms no draught beer and cash only which we were only told at end of meal so had to go to cash machine to get cash.

Fantastic food ordered from there last night 09/02/25 was amazed at how tasty food was & delivery quicker than expect will use again & prob ask for menu & prawn crackers next time as forgot this time , this is as good as Gold Coin if you know Reading from 70s,80s & 90s

Omg how cold is it in the place. I just got told by staff that the owner does not like putting the heating on, gonna take food home now. Hope the food is OK.....
