The best restaurants in St Thomas Portsmouth South East

Have wanted to visit for so long and then ended up visiting twice in the space of a month as it was so nice! The food is very authentic and delicious, and I love that it is a family run restaurant too. On both visits, I had the crispy pork which was SO nice (hence why I had to have it on my return visit!) and it was a tough choice as there are so many great dishes to choose from. The service was excellent - friendly, efficient and polite. Conveniently located in the heart of Portsmouth. Highly recommend and can’t wait to visit again!

Fantastic coffee, made with great care & attention! Love the vibe and how food & drinks are served. Truffles scrambled eggs are to die for and NO other coffee shop in Portsmouth gives you your brownie on a plate with added caramel sauce & berries! Top notch! 👌🏻

We booked Scotts Tap and Keller for my partner’s 50th birthday celebrations, and are so glad that we did. We had drinks in Scotts for 20 people, where we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and had great hospitality. All the staff were brilliant, and are a credit to Paul and the team. Simon had a fantastic birthday and I can’t thank you all enough for making everything run so smoothly on the day, with brilliant customer service throughout. Highly recommended if you are looking for the perfect place to hold a celebration party in Portsmouth! Sarah xx

Decided to get two afternoon tea boxes in short notice. Great service, well presented boxes and received well. I would definitely recommend and use the service again, thank you.

Knowing how much we enjoy Indian cuisine, my family gifted myself and my partner a takeaway from Breenons Kitchen as a birthday surprise. Wow what a feast!!! Every single dish was absolutely full of flavour and you could tell each one was fresh. I think the dhal was my personal favourite and the tempura vegetable sand array of very fresh, homemade chutneys were my partners. Would recommend to anyone in the area and appreciates good food!

Ordered classic burgers today with buy1 get 1deal on uber eats and they were amazing!!! The sauce was delicious, buns were soft and patty was very well seasoned and juicy! its halal too!! We also tried the loaded beef fries, they were very good! It would taste even better if you added some jalapeños on top! Over all very satisfied with the food! Keep it up guys!

It's a five star review so note that any criticism is small when compared with the entire experience. Pork belly, tuna, pork tacos all very good. Patatas bravas was exceptional; an unexpected style different from any patatas bravas I've had before. Squash maple salad was a revelation with the manchego. Cod was ok but didn't really have anything to say for itself compared with the other dishes. Cocktails were excellent. The banana pie was in a deconstructed style. In retrospect I could have lived without it as it would be very simple to replicate at home but I'm splitting hairs here. The service was friendly and attentive and the environment pretty chic. Would absolutely visit again and I hope they stay booked up so that they can be open for many years to come. When you don't mind or critique the bill you know you've had a really good dining experience.

I love this cafe opposite the university it’s such a quirky place but damn the coffee and the various types of doughnuts are sublime, great people always so pleasant and helpful.

This amazing place is just over the road from my work. Sometimes on a Friday a few of us go for a bite to eat as it’s amazing food at a good price. We never leave disappointed and we always leave happy ! They have new items on the menu and I had bao buns with pulled beef and it looked so good I wanted to eat them straight away so didn’t take a photo. We are always greeted with smiles and even if we haven’t booked they always accommodate us.

The biggest lemon cannoli I had, it was the size of my hand! It is such a hidden gem along the high street. I highly recommended it.

Delightful Greek restaurant with lovely decor giving an authentic atmosphere. The service was impeccable, with friendly welcoming smiles from all the staff. The food was outstanding, the tuna steak was the best I've ever had, it was wonderfully tender - cooked to perfection. The moussaka was very delicious, with a very tasty dressed salad. The portion sizes were just right.
