Expected More, Food was ok, thought 1st time trying tacos would be really great however wasn't much different to a normal cheese melt wirh chicken if I'm honest. Service was.... well can be improved on, no friendliness from front of staff, no asking how was your food was everything ok, not even a good bye thanks for coming. Considering just spent around £60, like I said expected more and plesse don't take this as negative feedback but feedback to things that are simple to fix. Still thank you for my 1st Mexican Taco Exsprience,

We popped by without reservation on the off chance, and even though fully booked, they squeezed us in. Really friendly people. Great menu. Food was so tasty and fresh. Highly recommend!

If it wasn't a case of having to pay for the food before we got it, we would have walked out. We ordered two starters and only got one, the other came out with the mains. The mains took an hour and a half to arrive after seeing tables who were sat 30 minutes after we arrived get their food before us, we asked one waitress where our food was, said she will check and didn't bother she just went back to cleaning and taking orders. Luckily the other waitress actually asked for us and we got the food 5 minutes later. I belive that they forgot about us. Why make someone pay for the food and then forget about it. Food wasn't what it's hyped up to be, so very disappointed with the taste although it was very hot. I will not be returning, this was meant to by birthday meal and I was really excited but every step on this meal was terrible, even being told to move table once we were seated due to them getting the tables confused for a larger party which is fine however they put us by the window and we constantly had to shelid the sun from our eyes.

I cannot wait to go back! We ordered Saturday Take Away Treats and had the Dubai Strawberry Kunafa Chocolate Pot and It Didn't Disappoint, my 9year old gave it a 9/10! We also got some Churros which were scrumptious too! Thank you, see you again

Excellent meal. Food was delicious and very reasonably priced. No alcohol though, didn't matter, but worth noting. Restaurant was clean, and the staff were friendly.

We have been there with kids a couple of times now, the whole experience was amazing good food good vibes, potions are massive all staff are great and welcoming 100% would be back.

Bavi was really kind and made sure our food was all good. She provided great customer service as well

Popped in for lunch today after wanting to come in for a while. Oh my gosh, it was stunning. We loved the vibe in the restaurant, although quiet. The food was absolutely incredible. My 10 year old was exclaiming after every bite that it was the best burger. Our burritos and tacos were gorgeous. Loved the choice of bottomles soda too. Dont often see vimto and irn bru. Staff were lovely too. We will definitely be back many more times.

Anjie was amazing. We had a brilliant night. She look great care of us and have a through lowdown on Portsmouth student life in general. A true people person. We wish her well! She noticed we had been waiting for a cab for 45 mins! Gave us a table, the manager reheated our takeaway food. And Anjie gave a complimentary drink to sweeten everything. Lovely, warm, lively atmosphere. Seriously delicious food. Great spot for a selfie checkin with friends. Highly recommended.

The staff were absolutely amazing, went out of their way to make sure everthing was suited to my preference due to my allergies. The dome bread was soo good im lost for words and their mojitos allow for a nice refreshing drink to cleanse your palate. Definitely a place to try out to all you foodies.

I have been to this restaurant many times and I've always found it to be quite amazing. However, when I entered the restaurant today, I suddenly heard a voice behind me saying "excuse me!". She proceeded to tell me that she needed to show me to my table. I have been to this restaurant 5-10 times and this has never been necessary. I double checked and there is not even a sign at the entrance that informs you about this policy. She then showed me to my table and said: "Those two tables are fine". As if I should be grateful that I am allowed to sit down? Mind you, the restaurant was completely empty and there are plenty of small tables suitable for one person. When I came to the counter to order, the employee proceeded to be rude to me for no reason. She even removed my debit card from the card machine without asking me, which I think is bad etiquette. It seems to me that this employee was just in a bad mood and took it out on me. A major downside to this restaurant is the fact that they have no WiFi. As I say I think the food here is amazing, but after the rude welcome I received today I think I'll have to look for an alternative lunch spot. Two stars from me because the food was still excellent.

It was my very first time at Fuegos street restaurant, the staffs were very polite as well as welcoming. The food was great, sweet and juicy sweet corn, the potatoes chips were creamy and crispy the added nachos sprinkles was a nice touch. The wrap beef was good also. Great and comfortable atmosphere. Will recommend it to anyone visiting Portsmouth.

This amazing place is just over the road from my work. Sometimes on a Friday a few of us go for a bite to eat as it’s amazing food at a good price. We never leave disappointed and we always leave happy ! They have new items on the menu and I had bao buns with pulled beef and it looked so good I wanted to eat them straight away so didn’t take a photo. We are always greeted with smiles and even if we haven’t booked they always accommodate us.

Came with 4 friends, ordered a variety of food. The butterfly chicken steak in particular was impeccable. The service from Bhavi and Chabely was excellent, and they were very knowledgable of their menu. Overall a great experience and will definitely be revisiting

Omg that was amazing!! Decided to treat myself to a feast, and a feast was what arrived! Biggest burrito ever, bigger than my laptop XD, the nachos were so so so tasty, the tacos too! And the donuts made it perfect, could eat them everyday 😋😋😋

What an incredible meal to celebrate my birthday. Comfy chairs and clean surroundings. Then when we got the food.... omg! The birria tacos are the best things I've ever eaten. The sauce is insane. The mac and cheetos cheese pull was just ridiculous, you have to try it! Thank you to our server Bahvi, and the excellent chef.

This was my second visit, and I always like to review after the second visit to make sure the first successful visit wasn't a fluke. I was pleased to find out it wasn't. The staff were lovely, the food flavourful and the price point was bang on. Highly recommend. Also, the waitress Bhavi (apologies in advance if this is wrong) is hospitable, polite, and efficient. Everything you want from your FOH team

Went to fuegos a few times and overall have had an amazing experience each time i have gone. Wonderful atmosphere and delicious food. Service is wonderful, I have been served by Bhavi who is extremely friendly and a 10/10 hard worker.

Went to have dinner with my family.It was absolutely great experience. Ambience was perfect,it was full of people. We ordered the whole chicken and Tacos with Mexican rice as sides.My kids loved the taste of whole chicken and then we ordered again with grilled halloumi. Meat was so tender and juicy. It made our dine-in experience exceptional.Definitely monies worth. Yamin,the friendly guy helped me to choose the perfect combination of food and Mavvy served us with smile.Brilliant atmosphere and all the staffs are friendly and cordial. I ll definitely come again and recommend friend and family to visit this place for sure.

Highly recommend Fuegos, lovely food and nice staff. However, they lazily seasoned our chips, meaning that the top chips were over seasoned and the ones underneath had none at all, simply tossing in a metal tray to coat the chips would have made them a lot nicer, which I expect since they were £3!

Great food, Birria Tacos were amazing. For starter we had the Nachos and Mushroom Quesadillas, both were amazing! We had Beef tacos and Chicken tacos for main, absolutely lush! We have visited twice now, music has been good both times.

Took Fiance to Fuegos to celebrate Valentines Day & it was perfect. The booking was made relatively late but they squeezed us in. Unique looks from outside so been meaning to visit. Cool décor & vibe inside, very spacious & clean with comfy furniture & neat touches everywhere, you can tell lots of thought gone in. The welcome was friendly & we experienced excellent service throughout. Large range of non-alcoholic drinks including milkshakes, mocktails & self-service pop machines. We didn’t eat starters or dessert but the mains & sides were well presented, tasty, filling & served in under 10 minutes. Huge menu with vegetarian & children’s options, all competitively priced. Food & drink can only be ordered at the bar, which may niggle larger parties. Ladie’s toilet needed some attention, which we informed the staff of. A loyalty scheme & gift vouchers are available so we’ll definitely visit again & would fully recommend to couples, families & small parties. Only thing missing is alcohol license but many bars around for pre’s/afters. Great addition to Elm Grove, thank you Fuegos. The fiancé is not easily pleased but loved everything as much as I did, keep up the good work & happy Valentines Day!

We often get Fuegos as a takeaway but came here for the first time to eat and it was amazing!! Exceeded our expectations loved the tacos and the service. Chabely gave us lovely service and was very very lovely!

We where a party of 6 who, quite honestly, where not very impressed with each of us having to queue up at the til to place our orders each and on top of that they don't have an alcohol licence to sell booze and you're not allowed to bring any in! It felt mire like an impersonal canteen than a restaurant. The service was very poor, we had to ask for the obvious on several occasions. Will not be returning.

The food was absolutely amazing! Every bite was delicious, and we enjoyed it a lot. The chicken wings and chips were perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Plus, the ambience was fantastic—such a great place to dine. Highly recommend!

We've been regulars at Fuegos for a while, and they have some of the best food in Portsmouth! Their birria tacos, burritos, and dome bread are amazing. Service is wonderful and food is always fresh and delicious. Bhavi is always very friendly and accommodating. She's been kind to us on every visit and sweet to the kids. Thanks! Definitely recommend if you want a cosy, kid-friendly restaurant.

Became one of my favourite restaurants in Portsmouth/Southsea to go to. Love the smashed tacos and cheesy dome bread. Probably spelt her name wrong but our waitress Babbi was very helpful

Food was lovely but a family member put £50 on our reservation as a nice surprise and no staff member let us know and we paid the full price. The same family member went back the next day to get their money back and they began by saying we never turned up, when shown proof we was there they tried to back track it and say they was confused as we split the bill ,so they just didn't mention the £50?? A shame because the food was good and the staff seemed like good people but they had no intention of telling us clearly. PS the staff knew the table was for Holly for 8:30 we did not say it was for Harry, one of the staff said they remember speaking to a Holly over the phone booking the table.

Finally writing this review after a couple of weeks. Came in on a Tuesday night for dinner and the ambience was amazing. The food in general was outstanding, but the tacos in particular were absolutely superb. And to add some sprinkles on top to make the night even better, I had a superb waitress called Bavi who provided excellent service and was very kind and polite throughout a busy night. I will definitely be back and make sure to recommend it to family and friends.

After enjoying many halal options in Southampton, I decided to try a restaurant in Portsmouth that was said to serve halal food. Unfortunately, i couldn’t see a halal sign at the entrance—a small but essential detail. When I asked inside, the hesitant “yes” I received did little to reassure me. The menu was another letdown, with font so tiny it was difficult to read, especially in the dim lighting. Unsure about the halal status, I played it safe and ordered calamari and falafel, as I trust more places that confidently display their halal certification or sign. The food was overpriced and disappointing. The calamari wrap was mostly salad with just a few small pieces of calamari—it felt more like a salad wrap. The falafel was slightly better, but the portions were noticeably small for the price. As for the hummus, it came in a tiny, dip-sized portion that felt like an insult—an absolute rip-off. In short, it’s not worth the trip. Southampton has plenty of clearly halal options that offer much better quality and value.

Amazing food every time we've been probably tried half the menu now & everything recommended has never disappointed. Venue is really chill, spacious with great ambience. The staff front of house and kitchen are always so friendly and happy to talk you through the various dishes. Cold restaurant, we were all freezing. Uncomfortable chairs. Food didn't arrive at our table all at the same time. 2 meals arrived, then coleslaw arrived, about 5 mins later 2 more meals arrived then 4 minutes later one portion of fries then another couple of minutes the other portion of fries arrived. Food wasn't great. Such a shame as we have wated to try this place for a while ☹️

Came to celebrate my sisters birthday and we had a table for when they opened. I’ve come here a few times now for dinner with friends and lunches and for bday meals, and the staff are always so friendly and welcoming. Food is always delicious and fresh.

Attended with my wife and daughter. Range of options to suit us all were excellent. Food was excellent. Very accessible and spacious to allow my 6 year old space. Staff were courteous and attentive throughout. Well furnished and very clean throughout. Toilets were spotless and scented. Vegan options available and attentive to allergies as well.
