Scarlet Tap Southsea in Portsmouth

I and my partner were here last night. One of your security guys(description, Indian, short, and in a ponytail) assaulted me, and my right arm still hurts. He walked towards me and said something that I couldn't hear because of the loud music, so I told him to speak to my partner( it was fair as he was a man). All of a sudden, he forcefully grabbed my arm tightly, and that's when I screamed at him, asking what the problem was! He carried our drinks away to another table, placed my phone and purse on my lap and pushed the table away. He tried to grab me for a second time telling me to leave! I asked him why he was doing this and he said that I was rude to him!!!! I barely spoke to this guy!!! And, let's say that i was rude, Where did he get the audacity to put his hands on me!!!! Why be soo barbaric towards a human being who was just enjoying her time!!!! Am lucky as my partner stepped in and the other security guys who came in and send him away! We tried to explain to the other security ladies but they couldn't understand! They ended up throwing us out saying we couldn't stay there. Really, was I being profiled because of my race!!! My first time in Southsea and this happens!!

We us a group had an amazing botomless brunch, all loved a quick service and lovely waitrose who took great care of us. Thank you so much for great atmosphere too.

Jack was a lovely host for our brunch, came over to check on us frequently and replenish our drinks. I would 100% recommend anyone to come here, food was lovely and cocktails were well made!

Jack was an amazing server. He was very attentive and kept checking on us if we needed any drinks! Amazing selection of cocktails and really good Prosecco! Would 100% recommend to anyone wanting a good time. Music playing the whole time and £39 for 2 hours which is very reasonable!

Scarlet tap is the place to be if you are in Portsmouth. Especially Dan was lovely who served us and was very hospitable. He made our experience great.

We came in for drinks during the evening and had a lovely time. Ethan and Maks were quick and cheerful, and they both made sure we were taken care of all evening. We will definitely be coming again

We go to Wings Wednesdays regularly. The offer is 40p per wing. Used to be great value. The last 2 times even at 40p it’s a rip off. Not sure where these wings are from (chicks?) but they’re tiny with no meat on them. I thought it was a one off batch but yesterday was the second time, so never again. Shame. Good while it lasted.

Sports atmosphere was amazing and Amy can really make a mean mojito! Venue was pet friendly and took amazing care of all 7 of my labradors!

I came down to watch the Formula 1 and have some food and Jessi and Sonnie were amazing! Very knowledgeable about craft beers and helped me choose the most delicious bowl of Sweet Chilli Chicken Fries that I upgraded to have Tater Bites and it was delicious, paired with a nice crisp beer it was just perfect! Thank you Jessi and Sonnie

Great location, staff, food and beer. Why only 4*? I’d give 4.9 if possible but you really need better WiFi! I actually couldn’t even post this review whilst in your bar on your own WiFi.

We booked at lunchtime for the rugby, service was 5 star from the beginning with Dan. He was warm and friendly and very attentive. The food was great and the drinks kept flowing. Dan was amazing throughout. There is a reason why this has been voted the best bottomless brunch in Portsmouth! The food choice and drink choice is great and was have not been to better bottomless brunch.

Had a voucher to spend on a bottomless brunch and chose the scarlet tap. Never been before tbh but have to say the welcome from Amy and the attentiveness throughout our visit was second to none. We were looked after from the moment we stepped into the bar. The food was great and the service was quick. Can't thank the scarlet tap enough for making our date night special. We will be back! ❤️

It was a quiz night when I went there,so it was very loud Nice pub and busy with a younger crowd!

Booked a table to watch the rugby. It was the area at the back which was great, it was super busy and there was a great atmosphere. The app didn't work so we went up to the bar for all out drinks and food. The food took over an hour to come at which point the match had finished and we were asked to move as they were setting up the dance floor! The lady was very apologetic when she realised we hadn't eaten yet so we didn't want to leave our table as there were no others. The food came out wrong - wrong pizza that was burnt and the mac and cheese missed the BBQ burnt ends. The toilets were a mess sooooo many crazy drunk girls there was vomit in the sink and on the floor in one of toilets. It was such a shame as the atmosphere for rugby was great.
