The best restaurants in High Street Maidstone South East

Had another fantastic meal at Frederics last week. The food is always consistently excellent - matched by the friendliness of the team who looked after us. Still our favourite place to eat!

My son and I each drove to Pittsfield to meet for a leisurely dinner. He drove one hour east, while I drove one hour west. The decor and the delicious smell of fresh food being prepared gave the elegant space a welcoming ambiance. The wait staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing. We were very happy with our choice to eat at the District Kitchen!

If you really want to try a proper Turkish cuisine then this is the place to go. Amazing food and service with the smile. Highly recommend to try if you haven’t already

breakfast was hot and tasty 😋 good prices and good portions sizes. The lady was very friendly saying hello and good morning to all the customers that walked through the door which was so refreshing to hear ☺️ 💗 next time I'm in the area I would definitely visit again

Where do I start this pub was outstanding from start to finish. I approached them in December asking for a venue for a special celebration from the beginning they were nothing but warm and welcome and just went above and beyond to accommodate everything that I wanted and more. I could not fault the landlady, her partner or their daughter for all of their help. They were polite attentive and just all round amazing. This is a pub will now continue to drink in and recommend to anyone I meet. Any negative reviews are just utter rubbish as they were absolutely amazing would highly recommend

I have been to Leah’s Bistro many times and it was an “ok” place to sit and have a coffee. Then recently, having left the Bistro and getting a short walk away, I was shouted at to come back and pay! The owner had ran after me! I explained that I had paid when I popped to the loo but he did t believe me. I went back to the shop and after showing them MY BANK TRANSACTION, they still didn’t believe me. My husband went in a few days later and the manager was fairly reasonable. But when I went back a few days after that, she was extremely rude. I’ve never experienced anything like it. I most certainly will NEVER be going back. The owner and manager are both very aggressive, rude, and they just don’t care. That said, the poor girls who work there are pleasant, probably frightened half to death of their tyrannical bosses. There are nicer places to spend your money. You’ve been warned…

Great food, good quality every time.

What a beautiful setting, food was amazing and staff were so friendly and helpful. Loved the little alley way entrance, felt like being in a Spanish back street.

Highly recommend,…..friendly service, relaxing atmosphere….. followed by great tasting food….. can highly recommended … we just live a place that doesn’t rush you and makes you feel that you have been there a hundred times before.

Highly recommended!. We visited here on a busy Friday night . Being a fairly small restaurant gave it a really cosy feel. The staff were lovely , very friendly, attentive, polite and efficient. Drinks and food are very reasonably priced. We had mixed starters for two which was superb. For mains we had probably the best Pad Thai we have ever had. Along with fried beef and broccoli in oyster sauce , the beef melted in the mouth. Also chicken , ginger and mushroom which was very tasty. All followed with a nice choice of desserts. We will be returning soon , an excellent experience, thank you !

Worth a visit good food bit pricey but good!!

Hidden gem with an amazing service. Had a full English and avocado egg and bacon on sourdough. Faultless. Wish we were local but will visit again

Only had drinks so… cannot comment on the food. Smart but casual pub with great selection of beers and wine list includes English wine which is good to see. Music is important here- lots of bands advertised well in advance. Staff knowledgeable and friendly about beer, if that is your thing. Hope to go back and eat or check out a band.
