We decide to visit and have a meal for my husband’s birthday as we visited the area. We found ourself in a peace of land of Bulgaria. The food was real / for those who can make a difference :) / and scrumptious food. Admirations to the cook 🧑‍🍳 The portions were big enough to take some food home. The owner made all to be sure we were served on high standard. Highly recommend this restaurant . If you like delicious food with Mediterranean taste you will not be disappointed.

you are probably tired of noisy places, but here the only noises are from the music and from the food sizzling on your plate, the place where I call home, probably the cleanest place, with excellent food, service of high quality, with the most primitive people, and probably the most skilled cooks, we will definitely come back soon Xxxx

Amazing experience, food is absolutely delicious, my rib eye steak was perfectly cooked, also my friend’s food was delicious, everything cooked to perfection, you can tell it was prepared with love. Service amazing and all the staff so friendly and smiley, a very warm welcoming, making me feel very much like home. I highly recommend visiting Mexaha! As I have had an amazing experience!!

We had lunch with my colleague. The food was so delicious and the atmosphere was so Bulgarian. The prices are reasonable.

I did not like the place. In particular, the food and its presentation were not tasty. The meat was burnt, and the lavash was hard and it was not comfortable to eat it. I do not recommend it.

Perfect. Wanted something different. This was exactly what i was looking for. Lovely family run business . Service was excellent and friendly . We entered the restaurant not knowing what to expect and were immediately made to feel welcome. Throughout lunch the service was super friendly and down to earth ; the choice of eastern European and Greek food tasty and beautifully presented. The room has a good atmosphere, with objects and pictures of Eastern Europe celebrations. We will definitely return to try more items on the menu and enjoy the music and singing which -we have been told- happens in the evenings.

There was hair in my food And we had to wait too long for the order so we would not repeat this mistake to visit the place again

The managers, a man and a woman, are terrible, no culture and manners, they lie to the customers that everything is fresh, but it is not, my child ate chicken cream soup and in the evening he was all covered in pimples, we went to the emergency room and they told me that it was from the food and I guessed that it was exactly from this restaurant because he hadn't eaten anything else but this soup, I wouldn't repeat it, I don't want to poison my family and I don't recommend it 1000%

Don't waste money, is not worth

We were greeted by a kind and smiling waitress who escorted us and presented their menu. She recommended a board with meats for three or four people. We were pleasantly surprised. Our dish was out of this world- Big Mixed Grill. It was amazing. The restaurant inside is spotless clean and smells fresh. Highly recommended!

A hidden gem in Maidstone. We were presented with the art of food in a plate - they cook from fresh and the chef shows all his love and passion in every single plate. Lovely restaurant, romantic place, delicious food - all that including the friendly owner makes you enjoy every moment. Thank you guys for the lovely dinner that we had with you twice during our stay in Maidstone and we will definitely come back because of you! Highly recommended!

Amazing food and service as always

Incredible Bulgarian food! My girlfriend and I came here for lunch the other day and the food was delicious, our server was great and gave us a run down of the specials which all seemed very authentic. We started with Tzatziki and flat bread which was amazing and we would definately recommend the cabbage rolls, the grilled pork special and Bulgarian beer! Everything here is really good value. The decor was very cool and reminded me of my holiday to Sofia. Next time we're in Maidstone we will be coming back here!

We’re coming from Oxford just to try this place out. Absolutely worth every single mile. We received a warm welcome and the food was delicious. The service was excellent ,the hygiene was high.The whole experience brought me back to the traditional bulgarian sprit. Definitely recommend!

It's like being invited for a meal by your favourite sister. The food is a holiday for the mouth. Not the cheapest place in town but probably the most exciting as a food experience. It is a most wonderful welcome and a wonderfully enjoyable venue and menu.

Great restaurant especially if you like Greek cuisine. It is really spacious inside. It’s a lot of fun to visit not only for the seafood ,but for the great night out. After certain hour it becomes almost like a nightclub ,but with food :)) It's amazing!

If we could we would give more than 5 stars. The food was amazing as expected, arrived hot and quick. The food was well worth the price. The girl singing late at night sounded incredible. We would definitely travel an hour again to visit! Highly recommend!

If you want to feel East European spirit, culture and food this is the place. The food is so delicious and on reasonable prices. The staff is friendly and professional with excellent service. We drove 80 miles to have a lunch in the restaurant and we was so satisfied. Highly recommended 👌

We had a really poor experience at this restaurant. We ordered calamari and they came to us burnt and you couldn't even feel the calamari inside. We also ordered a Meeze platter that would usually come with bread but they said we need to order the bread separately and pay for it and the stuffed vine leaves tasted sour and I could even buy them at a shop for £1.50. We even ordered a strawberry mojito which didn't even taste like strawberry. The only good thing was the sizzling meat platter but they used to much oil

We went on a Saturday night and only 2 other tables were occupied so fab service. The food was amazing and there were empty plates all round. The music added to the atmosphere and the staff were very friendly. Such a shame that this place isn't rammed on a Saturday night, it's definitely nothing they are doing because our night was so good and we were so full. Unfortunately this place is in a scary bit of Maidstone. Walking up 10 teens wearing masks walked up to us purposely very close and loads of people hanging around outside made me feel a little unsafe. If this was in the high st or in Rochester it would be rammed.

From where to start. This is one of the best restaurants in Maidstone. Staff are great lead by the lovely Milena. All of them are so friendly and kind. The food was very delicious with a nice presentation. The atmosphere is amazing - the decor is in an authentic Balkan style. We had a lovely fun night out, filled with lots of music, dancing and singing. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone! Thank you for the great services, as always! We recently celebrated our baptism at MEXAHA Restaurant and we were absolutely blown away by the entire experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was perfect. We felt so special and pampered, and we can't wait to go back.

One of my most favourite restaurants in Maidstone! The menu offers loads of choice, with great options for couples and groups. Take note of the staff’s recommendations! I took the burek belly peppers and goat cheese with walnuts for starters, and then lamb shank main were sumptuous. The latter was taken to another level of taste satisfaction with the addition of grilled vegetables and village style potatoes with herbs. I didn’t miss the dessert, of course. I strongly recommend this place!

Is super place. A Mediterranean restaurant with careful people who know how to make your evening great. I was thinking that they close but just change the page, i came every time when i'm off from 30 miles away. Deserve every penny

True gem within Maidstone! We loved the ambience and the staff was very friendly and smiling. We had mediterranean starter Plater, homemade pitta bread, with 2 type of cheese, octopus( very succulent and tender) and combo sach with chicken and pork meat! Very pleasant experience! Will come back with another friends next week. Highly recommend!

Friendly staff, attentive and smiling. Food was excellent. We had the mixed grill and the meat was all succulent, tender and delicious. Dips and home made bread was also excellent. Will visit again very soon and recommend to our friends!

We were craving something from the sea and decided to try MEXAHA. We were greeted by a girl with a huge smile. She was very polite and whatever she recommended we ordered. My wife ordered king prawns on a skewer, calamari and mussels with wine. I got zucchini in Greek style and sea bream on a barbecue. We combined the food with sublime cocktails and our experience was amazing! I highly recommend this restaurant!

We had the ‘pleasure’ to eat at this restaurant a few times but the last two visits were HORRIBLE! For starters, some of the food was great but the rest was cheap, tasteless semi-ready food purchased from a nearby supermarket! We recommended the place to our family friends as well and spent around £500-600(We were around 13 people both times), during these two visits our orders were delayed for more than one hour as the waitress had FORGOTTEN TO TAKE NOTES and order the requested food NOT ONCE but TWICE! My partner and another man were waiting 1 hour and 40 minutes for a piece of lamb and green salad and were charged £40 just for it! On a separate occasions one of the plates was completely MISSED and it was for a 9 year old kid who waited 1 hour and a half for chicken and fries! IMAGINE THAT! The waitress(who also seems to be one of the owners) also MARKED EXTRA drinks and food to our bill, which we DID NOT CONSUME or order! She was also “giving instructions” to my partner - a Client who is just looking to sit down and relax, to bring in chairs for the kids as she is busy… While doing this she also decided to tap him on the shoulder which I find very funny as we are not friends, nor people who know each other and going into someone’s else space and touching him/her just screams UNPROFESSIONALISM and BAD MANNERS! *Just because you are busier than usual and/or are short of staff does not mean you can ask your Clients to basically serve themselves!!! To add more to this “wonderful”experience - the same waitress was shouting over the phone on both occasions and acted as a clown making sure everyone in the restaurant is aware that they have delayed our order making us feel even more UNCOMFORTABLE. All in all - please AVOID this place. The people working there are complete AMATEURS with BAD MANNERS and clearly do not know how to run a business.

Amazing place! We were warmly welcomed by a smiling waiter. Authentic restaurant with great variety menu from calamari and octopus to steak and shank😊. The food was freshly prepared and very tasty! We also ate homemade bread that melted in the mouth. Let’s not forget the cocktails! We definitely coming back soon with friends. Highly recommended🙌🏻!
