Melad Tandoori Restaurant & Takeaway in Maidstone

Had a meal here for the first time for my wedding anniversary. The food was absolutely delicious, the staff were all very polite and friendly. The restaurant was nicely decorated and clean. Overall was a great choice for my special day.❤️

Mine was a delivered takeaway. Bit cool when it got to me but that's delivery for you and nothing a quick zap in the microwave didn't fix. All in all very satisfied. Would use again.

Food is fantastic, very tasty, I had the Tandoori Lamb Chops with the Mixed Biriani, it was so good, I must recommend it. The manager had given us the Matka Kulfi as dessert to end the incredible night. They say the hold monthly events with artists onsite, I think next time I’m in I’ll need to book in on one of these events. One of the top restaurants in Maidstone is say so.

Moved to the area recently and found my new local indian! Had a takeaway and ate in now, food and service is top drawer. Awesome.

Lamb in the curry was the toughest meat, was inedible and full of gristle. Missing bread from the order.

One of the best, if not THE BEST, curries I have ever had. The food was exquisite and so rich in flavour, I would 100% recommend this restaurant to anyone. The staff were extremely accommodating and seated us very quickly!

This place is in my opinion the best Indian in Maidstone. Food is great, the curries aren’t full of oil like others. Staff are friendly, service is quick. Yeah can’t recommend highly enough.

Delicious food, staff are attentive and polite. Reasonable prices (budget for 25-30 person, then add drinks) - the restaurant is well presented and very clean. We will definitely return, the 4 of us had a lovely meal. It was also nice and quiet as we went on Sunday night.

Got a home delivery, food very good and hot on arrival, but very small portions for the price.

Had a good meal here. Restaurant is nicely decorated. Slight confusion over the order. The owner is a bit too bombastic if you are looking to be left alone. Great they have Bombay Bicycle Club beer. Food was fresh and tasty but portion sizes are a little small.

Totally overpriced. Had a pop-up at a local pub for an England game. £14 for what essentially was a starter. Save your money.

Tried the takeaway in Aylesford a few weeks back and loved the food, so decided to try the sit-down restaurant in Barming. Not disappointed at all. The setting is really nice, the staff attentive, but not in your face and the food was wonderful. We have a new local favourite. So much more choice and flavour than other local places.

The food was nice but got cold very quickly. This was because food was served without a hot stand to put your food on. I did tell the waiter the food wasn't very hot, but I don't think he understood. Also, our table was in direct line of the door, and there was a chilly draft coming in. It was very busy, so there were no alternative seats. Not sure I will return unless the food is kept hot.

Take away best we have had in years meal for 2 quick delivery ,will order again.

Last month I have dinner food was excellent Nun bread was excellent unfortunately service was very bad. I recommended food very good I wish they can improve service.

ordered online at 7.13pm waiting for 1.45 hours until I rung and was told leaving now, rang back 2.30 hours and was told if nothing in 10 minutes ring back for a refund guess what I rang back for a refund. waiting for my refund not happy won't be using again but might try a sit down DO NOT USE FOR DELIVERY. update: I did get a call back to process my refund waiting for the money to hit my bank.

Ordered food online to be delivered waited over 2 hours and food never showed up. Called up the restaurant and we was told it would be 15 mins so waited 30 mins still didn’t turn up. Called up again and cancelled the order. So can’t comment on the food as we never got it. Very disappointing.

This is my first visit to the Melad Tandoori Restaurant, having visited a few years ago when it was under different management. Walking into a restaurant and seeing plenty of people dining is always a positive sign. I am pleased to say that my two guests and I had an enjoyable experience. The cleanliness and attention to detail with the décor was excellent, including the men's toilet. The food and service was also to a very good standard and will most certainly return in the near future. Thank you for an enjoyable evening.

Food was divine. I will be coming back. I would suggest menu with dietary labels to make it easier for the customers.

Staff were ready a waiting on us hand a foot, food didn’t take long at all and was absolutely amazing.we had Lamb pathia and papri butter masala with special fried rice and Bombay aloo. A little warm place with a good ambiance. Pros: The food was very delicious, and we got correct portions. The staff was very friendly and we didn't have to wait a lot for anything. Everything was nice and clean. Cons: Because of the limited space in the restaurant the tables are very close to each other therefore you can feel the place sometimes too noisy. A little bit expensive, but still affordable. Will we visit again? Not too often but definitely yes.

Great food but hurried to order, eat and have their table free. Will stick to their Aylesford takeaway as 30% cheaper...example Methiwala chicken £9.50 takeaway..£13.90 eat in!!!

Absolutely diabolical take away from here. Was cold, tasteless ,meat was chewy .naan bread was soggy. Worst indian ive had. Was trying to solve it amicably with the staff and manager who did not want to deal with it. Kept cutting me off and spent half an hour on phone trying to sort.I dont often leave reliews but this was shocking.

To be fair It was a takeaway that I ordered on site and waited. I ordered lamb madras keema naan and mushroom rice. Had half a cobra whilst I waited. £20 it cost. Got home and it was chicken. Wouldn't have been the end of the world if it wasn't as tough as old boots. Really poor and disappointing 😞 Over priced and poor experience. I'll stick to Katmandu or gurkha in future.

Ordered as a takeout, lamb biriani, chicken tikka balti and lamb tikka rogan with paratha, naan and starters. I didn't dislike the food, but I am originally from India and wasn't that impressed to give it 4 stars, so my rating was 3 stars. I have dined in Brick lane which is 5 star ratings so maybe I'm harsh. I am keen to try more hotter dishes like Dansak and goan Xcuti next time. I definitely will not be ordering the paratha again, it looked like a chapati and my home made ones are better.

First visit since it changed name, so were hoping for the same quality as before, and we weren't disappointed.

The staff are amazing, so welcoming, friendly and work so hard. The food is always cooked to perfection, the bar area and restaurant so clean and well maintained. Highly recommend you book a table in the restaurant.

Very accommodating for a walk in for 2 on a busy Saturday night. Food very good and great selection to choose from. Would of liked a larger naan for £4.40 and rice overpriced with Pilau 3.80 but tasty

We went there for my daughter’s birthday dinner, the food was poorly made and they charged £10 for 4 papadom. The restaurant was too expensive and not worth it, the owner was so rude as well.

I love it here.🤟 Great experience in this wonderful restaurant. Exceptional vibe in a retro decorated venue. All the dishes were very well made. Big choice of cocktails/Mocktails and Chef's Specials. Great value for money on a day with the RANGEELA special deal with very good quality food and quantities. Waiters are amazing, they really make you feel welcome and their professionalism is second to no one! Definitely will return for best food experiences & drinks. We are curry club ninja boys, which escape from our wives once a month to discuss very important issues 😀 food was amazing, quick service and attentive on drinks lovely surroundings, friendly staff plenty of parking nice relaxing reception/ bar area, good selection if drinks, masala bombay potato's are out of this world 🌎 a very nice edition to our local area. On the higher end of price but we'll worth the money 💰 hopefully the standards will be upheld ☆☆☆☆☆

Absolutely amazing food & service. Sooo much of an improvement on the last business there. Flavours of expensive spices that other restaurants are leaving out. This restaurant is a must visit. Only negative comment would be we sat along the back wall where the 2 seat tables are bit too snug, they could remove one of the tables, for personal space.

Amazing food, not had anything this good in a while. Service is on point and if you ask any staff for something, they're on it immediately. Couldn't ask for a better atmosphere, really beautiful place, nothing I've ever seen like this, deserves 5 stars

Miss the Taj, based on tonight. Unfortunately, inconsistent evening: - some tastey and spicy dishes - friendly staff - 40 minutes for a glass of water (asked 3 times) - incorrect food on 2 occasions. Rushed correct dishes which resulted in burnt food (lamb tasted like tough beef). Hope for better service when we next come!

Amazing food! Must try. Different dish on the menu than other places I have tried. Recommend to try Slyhety Briyani!
