Ploughman's was disappointing, served on a tray,just thrown together Prefer on a plate

I really like the location of this place. Have been twice now. First time quiche was under done in the middle & runny. Second time I asked for fried eggs & sourdough toast with cherry toms..(an extra £1 for fried not scrambled 🙄 on top of the £9.45 it already was). Toast was fried not toasted, it was tiny and thin ...not a decent amount of sourdough. We ordered more sourdough toast and paid for that so we could have toast with our breakfast but that was so thin cut I could see through it!! I think for nearly £11 each a tiny bit of fried toast & 2 small eggs is a bit much. I'll happily pay this & more if its good (i.e Macknades Faversham) but not when its subpar!

I clearly asked the staff who were responsible for serving cakes and if there were raisins in the carrot cake. They went and asked the chef, and I was told no. When I collected the cakes from the counter, I queried this again and was told it was dates. In fact, when I got home, it was discovered it was raisins. Luckily, I don't get a severe reaction to them, and if I didn't live so far away, I would have returned in person. The chef definitely needs to have much better knowledge of the ingredients that are being served

We held my daughters Wedding reception at Frankies Farmshop on 3rd August 2024. There's not enough words that I can express to say what an amazing time we had. Jen and the team at Frankies were outstanding. The service was exceptional and the help we received from Jen leading upto the event was so professionally done, it felt like we had our own in-house wedding planner. We received so many compliments from the guests who also really enjoyed the food. Thank you Jen and all, you really made my daughters wedding so special. I'll forever be appreciative. Incredible - one of my new favourite spots for a lunch stop! We stopped off after randomly finding Frankies Farmshop on Google and were delighted with it. Lovely fresh food, family friendly and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. We will definitely be returning 😁

Absolutely love this hidden gem in Medway countryside. We had lovely Sunday brunch even got myself flower pot for my garden. Great for gluten free person too.

We organised a baby shower at Frankies last weekend and what amazing customer service we had. Everything was all communicated very well, it was all set up ready for us when we got there and the food was lovely. We were a big party and the staff were brilliant.. Super friendly, organised and very helpful. Would highly recommend!

The food here is of a very high standard and portion sizes are generous.

Very relaxing place especially outside 😌. Great coffee and the food looks great although my companions had food and was pleased with the there's. A little pricey but then again. Its quality that counts. One thing to bear inind is there are only one mens and, womens toilet.

Such a welcoming place, a garden centre, beautiful gift shop and fantastic restaurant, our favourite place to go.

Visited on 4th May + 3 further times this year. Food, Service and Value for money excellent, Chairs could be more comfortable. The real problem is the acoustics making it almost impossible to have a conversation without shouting. It was so bad that we left after only one course, a really great shame.

Enjoyed an afternoon tea at Frankie’s. Friendly service, the selection of cakes and sandwiches provided were delicious.

Staplehurst's hidden gem. Had a couple of hours to kill as I was taxi for others to Balfour Winery and thankfully found Frankie's after a quick Google search. Lovely little farm shop with lots of local produce including cheese, wine, cider, pies and cured meats. All reasonably priced too. Had brunch in the cafe and received a really friendly welcome, which is always nice when eating on your own. Delicious eggs royale with plenty of salmon and a really nice well balanced hollandaise. Americano to wash it down. An absolute god send to find when I had some time to kill, glad I did as I'll be back again for brunch without a doubt!

Always an enjoyable experience and good food however today's visit was marred by the acoustics. Its lovely to see a place busy and thriving but it is spoilt by being unable to hear your friends clearly and have a reasonable conversation. Had to move tables due to a very large party having afternoon tea to hear ourselves think. Please Frankie, do something about the acoustics. Your excellent staff agreed and said they struggle when taking orders and speaking to customers.

Amazing Breakfast, had perfectly cooked Eggs Royale... Miss the Full Scottish Breakfast and Blood Mary from previous menu... But am sure my health has benefited... Lovely Friendly Staff... Highly recommend... Especially for Breakfast... Also has a well stocked garden centre and gift shop

Arrived at 11:45 and was told could not order food as changing to lunch menu. When we eventually ordered 12:15 it had gone from a full breakfasts to sandwiches and jacket potates? Farm Shop average.... not worth another visit. Disappointing

We had a Sunday roast dinner and one of our eight had vegetarian spaghetti. The food was great, but bear in mind thus place is busy and can be very noisy, which isn't really the management's fault.

Delightful place with high quality food. I've only had brunch there but couldn't recommend any of the poached egg dishes highly enough. And the cheese scones are insane. The shop has beautiful stuff to browse, artisan foods to buy and generally it's just super cute.

We have eaten and bought items here before. On this visit, we arrived at 3.50 not knowing they closed at 4.00. However, we were still able to have a much needed drink and cake. Everyone served us very well.

We had a lovely lunch... But we found the toilets not very clean and toilet floors..

The restaurant area is very pretty and spacious and was full of happy customers, looks like a lot of groups of people meet up here regularly. It has great parking and good access for the local towns which it sits between. We enjoyed our cheesecake and coffees and things from the brunch menu. It does get noisy in the restaurant and the food is pricey, could be very good in the summer sitting outside with friends, shame there is no view of the local area. I've heard the lunch menu is very good, hopefully I'll go back to try it out.

The food was of good quality but almost cold when it arrived, and the service was very slow, even though it wasn't busy when we got there.

Delicious Sunday roast after a brisk walk through the mud.serving staff were 🤩 brilliant, as we were a big group we thought we would be delayed but the service was prompt and professional and every need met. The actual meal was delicious and tasty. Followed by various desserts.

Ate lunch in the cafe. It was delicious. Only scored down a point due to the noise. Maybe install some sound absorbing measures in the ceiling? Sandwich (ham and chutney) and coffee both great. Also purchased a few luxury food items in the shop.

I have visited twice for Afternoon Tea before but not anything else. Mum and I decided to have meal yesterday. It was totally booked and had a couple of large parties so we expected a bit of a wait. The orders for our drink and main course were very good and the food tasted amazing. However we ordered our desert and after about 20 mins the waitress said she would find out why we were still waiting but after waiting a total of 30 minutes for 2 ice cream sundaes we decided to cancel them and pay and leave. The reason we were given for the long delay was that the table with a large party on one of the other tables had ordered 7 sundaes but every desert I saw go to that table was a cake with cream. So what started out as a lovely meal ended up very disappointing. I know they were very busy but come on, these were effectively 2 ice creams!!

We had full English breakfast. It was fine but my wife and I could easily have shared one. The mushrooms and tomatoes were great. Will order one to share next time.

Been frequenting Frankie’s for sometime now, as the location is perfect for meeting a dear friend for lunch and occasionally for breakfast. On the last few visits we’ve (my friend and I) have found the food and cooking to be lacking in quality and this morning’s breakfast was no exception. The vegetarian breakfast was lukewarm, tasteless and the poached eggs were like bullets. And I suggest a new toaster/grill is purchased because the so called “toast” was basically soft bread. And my dear friend’s toasted sausage & egg sandwich was poorly cooked (sausages were still pinkish in the middle) and the eggs were snotty. Apologies if someone is eating while reading this review. Having cooked for a living myself over the years, I feel that if a restaurant’s standards of a basic cooked breakfast is lacking, maybe there’s a problem within the kitchen environment? I’m disappointed that my opinion of Frankie’s has changed because at first I thought it was a great place to enjoy traditional English dishes in a lovely setting. Can’t say I’ll be revisiting anytime soon. 😔

Frankies is one of my favourite places to eat, great food with a lot to choose from. It's popular most days, so to guarantee a spot, make sure to book a table. It's also a garden centre and "farm" shop so plenty to do.

Excellent food in nice surroundings, recommended

Met here for breakfast with some friends. Lovely cafe and the food is good, but it is expensive. £10 for a bowl of Greek yogurt with some granola and dried fruit on the top is quite a lot to pay, although it was very nice. Service wasn't the best though - the place wasn't full and there were several staff waiting on the tables, but I had to get up twice to ask for something as they weren't watching to see if anyone needed help. The shop and garden centre sections are very good and they have a lot of lovely items that would make great Christmas gifts, so overall worth a visit.

Everything about the experience was exceptional. Staff are amazing, friendly, and very helpful. Food is fresh and hot, and incredibly tasty.

Sausage just cooked payed for full breakfast no hash browns . Bacon over cooked. . But would go again staff really good ,so just kitchen not controlled . Next time eh .

Found Frankie's by chance, but really enjoyed the meal. Slightly more pricey than many similar places, but the quality of the food and size of the portions justified the price Sundaes inspired by popular desserts are a must. We will definitely be back.

Lovely Sunday roasts, very generous portions.

Frankie's Farmshop offers a brunch experience that stands out, with a higher price tag than most, but the food quality is undeniably top-notch. The attentive staff enhance the overall dining experience. Although the £4 price for a Diet Coke seems steep, the beautiful layout and surroundings make it a worthwhile visit, creating a balanced but somewhat pricey culinary adventure.

Met a friend for lunch and the food was lovely! Gluten free options available, including cakes. I will definitely be visiting again.

Have eaten here a few times for breakfast and lunch, have always been really pleased with it. Really nice shop as well. Seating inside and outside, although outside does suffer with wasps (although was better the last time I went).

Lovely food at a reasonable price,

Was in the area and had seen a little on social media prior so thought why not pop in. Such a disappointment as the food was hugely over priced and had better in a Wetherspoon’s. It was basic at best and did not reflect the price. Left really deflated and actually felt robbed. Definitely will not be returning.

So disappointing, I have been there in the past, but will not be returning, far to expensive, a pot of not particularly nice tea for 2 £6.40 absolutely ridiculous, £5 for a piece of cake , try not to choke!

The staff were lovely. Service was fast. Ordered Pancakes and bacon. Pancakes were exactly like the ready made ones from Asda. Bacon was not crispy.

Only do mega sized breakfast or individual items which work out same price for half the food. Would not bother going back

We had a full english breakfast which was yummy! Very comfortable atmosphere, decorated lovely and there are a wonderful supply of different gift's. You definitely pay for what you get.

Staplehurst’s best kept secret. Lovely garden centre to stock up your garden. The cafe - you may need to book in advance - has a great menu of great tasting food. Reasonably priced and generous portions. Afternoon tea looked amazing, étagère loaded with lovely looking cakes, I can’t wait to go back and try it. Staff are friendly, attentive and helpful. I can definitely recommend Frankie’s and I will be going back.

The effort all the staff made was outstanding - no request was too much trouble - even a plate of vegan food was provided at very short notice. The food and drink exceeded our expectations. Lovely scones, good service spoilt slightly by the young waiters swooping on any used plates, cups and glasses as soon as our hands moved off them.

Food is really good here! We had roast chicken with few other things and all of it was delicious. Neat and tidy place with plenty of parking.

Very noisy in the restaurant this morning, couldn’t hear each other talking. Full English breakfast was not value for money, personally didn’t enjoy the sausages. Friend found hair in her breakfast, cost was taken off bill, but wasn’t great for her.

We absolutely loved Frankie’s - what a stunning cafe, gift shop and deli! All the cakes on offer looked incredible - we had scones & chocolate chip cookies and they were both fabulous. Great coffee too. We will be back 👏🏼

Stopped in for some compost and decided to stop for a light lunch. Had a quiche Lorraine salad which was magnificent all served up in the new restaurant area. It was busy even on a Friday lunch time but they fitted us in . Worth a visit.

Good food, friendly service and a fair price

Stopped by for Bruichladdich this morning. Had full English (swapped beans for hash browns). It's interesting to see that the default for eggs was poached - which is great. Only 4* because no black pudding - for me, an essential part of a breakfast. Brilliant service, very friendly. Lovely new space. Breakfast and two pots of tea circa £20.

Visited for breakfast, turned up without knowing booking was recommended but, fortunately, we were found a table as it was very popular. Enthusiastic and friendly staff, superb Eggs Blackstone and great coffee. Well worth visiting if you're in the area.

Found the restaurant very noisy, you need something to soak up the noise of people talking VERY LOUDLY. lots of potted greenery or something hanging from the vaulted roof to soften the noise. Food was excellent but will not be going back unless something is done about noise

Beautifully clean and tidy. Great place to go for coffee/breakfast. The Eggs Blackston were delicious would definitely recommend. Also bought a couple of cakes to takeaway, again delicious 😋

Always a good breakfast at Frankie's. My wife and I go regularly. Editing my review now after a couple of years. Scottish breakfast is no longer on the menu, replacement "full" English breakfast is nothing of the sort, and you have to pay extra to get half-cooked fried eggs instead of poached. The bacon was dry and tasteless and there was no black pudding offered on the menu, even as an extra. At the end of our meal we were harassed by the waitress to pay and leave, and even then she got our bill wrong and had an attitude when we wanted to split it between us, as we had always done with no problems before. Unfortunately Frankie's has gone from a 5 star breakfast to less than one star. You get better service, and a much better breakfast at a greasy spoon cafe, for less than half the price. Frankie's was our favourite breakfast place on a weekend. Sadly, we won't be returning.

Food was very nice we pre-booked a table for 10:30 but didn't get served until 11:30. Food was worth the weight however very difficult with young children

Slow service even though we pre-orderd our food. It arrived an hour after our booked time. The kids were starving and most of the adults too!

Lovely farmshop with a great restaurant and service. Always love to visit here after a run or cycle, so the cake always goes down a treat! Love the new extension too.
