Great atmosphere a very special landlady

Family friendly pub up to certain hours for children. Bar staff lovely and welcoming. They recently had a family loss but continue to serve with a smile. Their fireworks night was so fun!!

My boyfriend who was stationed there took me in here it was a fantastic pub then 50yrs ago had many happy nights there. We were married for 50yrs.

Many great times here, such a shock hearing the terrible news regarding the landlord. RIP

Match day, looking for a quick pint before kick off. Found this little gem of a pub. Great pint, great people, even spoke to a couple of very nice home supporters. This would definitely be my local.

This is a wonderful friendly pub with a great atmosphere

Basic place with hints of quirkiness. Interior decor evokes a working men’s club vibe, but with less charm. Locals in situ seem to approve, mind. Drinkswise I’d say generic lager is your best bet, this certainly ain’t the place for cocktail lovers. A friend of mine was served a G&T without so much as an ice cube, never mind anything as exotic as slice of lemon. The pool table is probably the highlight.

Nice pint,early afternoon drink. I use to drink there in the late 80's. Will return ,maybe in the evening next time

Great proper local boozer, good beer, service with a smile, pool table and unlimited top tracks on the jukebox, what more could you ask for!

Excellent watering hole before watching the Stones play football

Maybe I picked the wrong day to come in here. Everyone seemed to know each other and stared when I walked in. Was lacking atmosphere. Quiet for a Saturday night. Had a pint of Adnams Ghostship which was well served. Will have to give this pub another try!
