Fab tearoom! Very clean, and ample room for wheelchair access. Friendly and accommodating staff. The menu is comprehensive and the food is amazing! So much more than a tea room… highly recommend a visit.

Quaint little coffee shop, ok if you're just looking for a small, quiet little place for a cup of tea and a sandwich. Service was a little slower than expected, took nearly half hr for 2 fry ups and a bacon sandwich, however I won't hold it against them as they are a small little kitchen and I would imagine they could get swamped quite quickly.

A nice, small coffee shop / café who may be far more deserving of your hard earned money than the big chains! 😁 I only grabbed a tea when passing, but do give it a look if you've read this far!

My mum and I came here the other day after realising that a new nearby farm shop didn’t have an eat inside area. In fact someone at the farm shop recommended it to me. Lovely staff, great coffee, homemade cakes, excellent service… was really impressed and will definitely be back!

Pretty place, nice and cosy. It may be noisy at times but the atmosphere is good and the coffee is tasty. Could not find a plug for my laptop, but maybe I didn't look for it enough and, maybe, maybe there we a good reason for it not to be there.

Been there a few times, the young woman that runs it is friendly and fast,But on Late May Bank Holiday there was a couple I'd never seen before,we placed our order and duly waited, twenty minutes went by and we watched the three customers in front of us get served,my wife went up to the counter and asked if we could have our tea, the reply was there are people in front of you who have to be served first(there wasn't by now),five-minutes later we asked again bearing in mind that no more food had been brought out and the chap who came in after us had got his coffee,we got the same reply as before, after half an hour we got up and started to leave, and she shouted where are you going?,I replied we've got fed up of waiting especially as you're more interested in cleaning already clean tables .THIS IS NO REFLECTION ON THE YOUNG LADY THAT NORMALLY RUN IT,SHES GOOD! But these two were worse than useless!!.

Me and my husband have made a Christmas tradition of coming here for breakfast every year when we buy our tree! It’s been about 5 years and we still love the food and the atmosphere 😊 they always have mismatch crockery and different salt shaker sets on each table and it’s too cute! The service has always been fantastic and you can tell that they use quality, local produce and really fresh bread. If it ever closes down we will be heart broken!

A really lovely cafe attached to the garden centre, with a good selection for breakfast and lunch. Very friendly staff. Full English was excellent with the noteable exception of cheap (frozen?) catering sausages which was a real disappointment. We will return but give the sausages a miss!

the burrow is a small cafe in a garden centre. it's not cordon Bleu, it does simple food cheaply and well. will I go back? Honestly we go back most Sundays for breakfast or afternoon coffee ( excellent served in mugs) and during holidays it's one of frequent stops. I particularly enjoy Welsh rarebit or scrambled eggs and mushrooms on toast

Went to The Burrow this morning for a coffee after shopping in the garden centre next door. A little gem. Friendly service, yummy food. According to hubby - excellent bacon sandwich! I had a goats cheese and pickle panini - also very tasty. Nice coffee. Extra plus was they are dog friendly so we were able to take in our CockerPoo puppy.

Called in here Saturday for a coffee & cake, whilst paying noticed the extensive food menu. Decided to come back today for an all day breakfast, with out a doubt 10/10, sausage & bacon we’re definitely from a local butchers, Everything thing else was fresh cooked, nothing was pre cooked and warmed up. 2 large coffees were spot on. £20 in total. Was serve by a pleasant & polite lady.

Heavily disappointed by our experience in the burrow cafe 18/07/2021. We rarely eat out and decided to try based on recommendations, but a lot was left to be desired. Firstly, the milkshakes ordered were runny with the taste and consistency of flavoured semi skimmed milk and for the price of £3/£3.50 it would be assumed they would be made with ice cream/ milkshake ice cream mix. Additionally, the £5.50 panini with "side salad" was equally poor, due to it being cold and tasteless and the quoted side salad consisted of a few limp wet lettuce leaves with black spots and a single cherry tomato. Moreover the ham egg and chips for £6.50 was disappointing as cheap breaded packet thin ham was used and only 3 small slices were given. My partners bacon sandwich was average and chips were hot. Overall the food was underwhelming and the staff were not approachable as I felt I couldn't bring up my grievances at the time because I had quite a few issues. Perhaps staff are different during the week as the people who recommended had a wildly different experience. We felt compelled to review as we were upset to spend £30 on such a disappointing meal. Would be interested to hear their views on our comments.

Think I might have had the last of the packet of lettuces on my plate , brown on the edges and bits that were mushy , Tomatoes had seen better days , felt like they were using up old bits . , complained and was delt with quickly , small jacket potato and a job to find any bacon in the chicken and bacon filling , also found it very noisy , coming from behind the counter , could hardly hear ourselves talk at some points .

Situated in a cute garden centre, this coffee shop was charming from the word go. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and despite it being fairly busy there was still a nice atmosphere. The menu was relatively small, although I was told it was limited due to the pandemic which is understandable. Even so, there were plenty of cooked breakfast or light lunch options available. I had an English breakfast, which was delicious and a very generous sized portion, as well as being reasonably priced. I look forward to returning here when I can!

Surprisingly good food made on site in a shoddy, aged annex. Ventilation for cooking is obvious by its absence as fumes clouded the atmosphere. The cobwebs and tired atmosphere show a lack of care and definitely not a quaint development.

We visit the area about two times a year and over the last few years have popped into The Burrow for lunch. A small family run café within the Pleasant View Garden Centre. The menu is not extensive, but if you like a good English breakfast, light lunches and afternoon teas then this place comes recommended. You order at the counter and the food is bought to you by friendly staff. All the food is prepared to order so there maybe a little wait before getting your order but it is worth it. The prices are offer good value.

Went for a morning coffee with my career, access is easy, there is a nice relaxed atmosphere with plenty of tables to choose from, all of which appeared to be wheelchair accessible whist orders are made at a counter our coffee was delivered to the table. The coffee was strong without being overpowering. There is a good selection of both savoury and sweet food offerings, although we didn’t try any of theseI will certainly be returning and would recommend others to try this coffee shop

Such a shame. Really liked the interior. Waitress was friendly and attentive and overall entering this place held lots of promise. Ordered the scampi and some bread rolls to start and the scampi tasted light and the tartar sauce was very tasty. The bread rolls came with butter and olive oil/balsamic. The rolls were fresh and the olive oil had a nice grassy taste. For mains we ordered two cajun chickens with half the cajun seasoning, the salmon and the seafood linguine. The chicken skin was a bit flabby and it tasted bland which may be partly due to the half seasoning but also the chicken lacked flavour. The chips were very nice but under seasoned. The seafood linguine had good flavour but the portion size was huge so the rich and creamy sauce became hard work due to the quantity. It was a shame because the seafood was cooked well and the baccus wine I had really cut through the creamy sauce but it was just too much. The salmon however was a disaster. The salmon had a pesto sauce which was not described on the menu, it came with sautéed potatoes which would not have been a problem but the menu said new potatoes which in every other place I've eaten means boiled new potatoes and the veg came up as a sort ratatouille type veg (it wasn't but it was a medley of cooked down veg) when the menu discribed mixed veg. There was also some sort of carrot puree which took up a quarter of the plate. And again a huge amount of food. The sautéed potatoes were over salty and not edible. At least half the plate was left and when the waitress was told that the food wasn't edible nothing was done. We pointed out this when the bill arrived and they took £6 off the bill which I assume was their assumed cost of the potatoes. Its a shame as this is in a lovely location and has potential to be a lovely fish restaurant but it needs a menu that accurately describes the food and if there are changes then a waiting staff that informs their customers. I also think there is work to do for the chef as the salmon dish looked like it had been chucked on the player while the salad for the chicken had been laid out piece by piece. There is also work to do on portion control which would also help the profitability of the business. Hopefully things will change as a good fish restaurant is a fine thing to have locally.
