Located on a side road, off the main highway near an industrial area, an old looking uninviting caravan from the outside.. With THE BEST Burger you will eat in the UK!! Seriously, with each bite you take - you can feel and taste the love and passion the chef is putting in each of his products. While we were there he came out to one of the costumers and built his burger to their tastes and favorite ingredients. Our Burgers were juicy, tender and full of flavours, the piri piri chips were amazing and the chef made us an English version to the "Big Mac sauce" (which he calls "Big Ben sauce") to dip the chips in and it was great. In the past 2 years of living and travelling in the UK and tasting local foods all around, this is by far the best Burger I have eaten. Also to mention the sweet staff that took our orders and the overall cheerful atmosphere you all had. Keep up with the passion of creating amazing food and being awesome.

Great personal attention and lovely food - made up a salad and cheese with Sadinian sausage rolls and delicious coffee ... we bought a pot of cheese too - beautiful

Very welcoming, many things to do, events, dances and a great cafe. If you go once you will go over and over again.

Great pub if you're waiting for a train as only a 5 minute walk away.

Excellent food, faultless service. Specials Board was very special. Nice House red wine. If you’re in Newhaven early and waiting for your Ferry I doubt there is anywhere you’ll enjoy more.

I came here all the time, today I will not return the lady staff was extremely rude! Because my kids came in with 2 cans of cherry coke from the store next door ad they do not have drinks they liked or are the cans cold, I was rudely told to put them away ,so we left sp for a £1 can of coke they lost £20 in profits plus I'll never return and I'll spread the word i have my own business, and if I found out a staff member cost my business money and a customer she would be gone this is not good business.

Looked up cafes for breakfast near the port and found this gem. Nothing to look at as its a porta cabin but inside its clean and the food is excellent. Thick bread and butter, great breakfasts and very reasonable prices. Love the dog but not sure everyone would appreciate the staff stroking the dog and then continuing to serve food but we love dogs and doesn't bother us. The tea and coffee were best tasted, not fancy just proper tea and coffee. Would definately recommend, parking at the rear too. Easy to walk from port or premier inn, and great value. Staff very friendly and will definitely return next trip to Newhaven.

The Hope has a prime location on the harbour.You can watch the Dieppe ferry come or go..Sensibly limited choice of very well kept beer ..the revamp has worked well.

Very cozy pub with a family atmosphere. Terrace overlooking the harbor. Food and drinks are very good. I left my glasses behind and the boss immediately sent them to Germany. We had to catch the ferry and therefore couldn't go to the restaurant again. Rarely experienced such courtesy, an extra star for that!

Called in on spec to this pub for a quick pint. Ordered 2 pints of Cruzcampo lager that looked lively but was completely flat by the time I got to the table. Outrageously expensive at £12.80 for the two pints. Absolute no atmosphere in this pub. At least the barmaid was welcoming and friendly..

Very rude and nasty owner and staff, let them know they missed an item we ordered and they started shouting at us and saying we were trying to get somthing free. DONT USE this shop and hopfully they will go out of buisness soon

Great Latino evening/ event great music and beers from Abyss brewery -food was good from La Cantina although they a little overwhelmed by numbers

Really disappointing take-out. first time ever we've had a bad meal from here after 30 years . The chips were hard and greasy and the fish looked grey. We did ring to complain after having to throw the meal away and the girl hung up twice and was then rude
