Great Latino evening/ event great music and beers from Abyss brewery -food was good from La Cantina although they a little overwhelmed by numbers

The freshly cooked food came after only 10 mins and it was lovely. The service from the young lady was very efficient and always with a smile. Definitely worth a visit and we will return.

Very disappointed and will never go back, we waited 45 minutes for our food, my husbands sandwich was good but our shared fries were hard and stale and my meal of prawns and peppers was very small, the prawns were tiny and there were hardly any peppers on the dish

This is a real surprise! A gréât place to relax and enjoy a Mediterranean atmosphere in this Turkish/Greek style taverna. Under big awnings to protect from the weather this outdoor restaurant offers delicious food and excellent service where the old railway sidings used to be. Fresh food well prepared. We had. Hi Jen wings with tsar silo dip and a steak wrap with perfect chips and coleslaw. The music took us miles away to warm hills and a blue sea!

We’ve been here a few times now and each has been flawless. Great food, nice surroundings, dog friendly fabulous service. A true gem of Newhaven!

Lovely warm welcome, overlooking the river at Newhaven on a warm, sunny bank holiday Monday afternoon, we stopped here by chance after finding two pubs packed, so glad we did. We live in Newhaven and had heard of The Sidings but this was our first visit. We both had the beef and lamb mixed burger which came in a brioche bun, with peppers, cheese and bacon, a side of fries and coleslaw. The burger was delicious and huge, we definitely won't need to eat again today! The chips were plentiful and coleslaw appeared homemade. Good was piping hot and we'll presented. They are advertising a Turkish night on 23rd September and a drag night on the 9th September. The ladies serving were warm and welcoming. We will definitely be back. Well done.

A good riverside cafe for lunch on a fine day. Great mezze and salads. ‘Special ‘ evening events e.g. Turkish Evening a different matter. No reasonably priced red wine (sold out); only one bottle of Prosecco available; vegan booking not honoured ( veg. cooked with meat, buttered rice, inedible burger, no dessert), food not delivered to party together, indifferent management. Waiting staff however were helpful and polite. Very disappointing.
