Step in this time machine to transport yourself back to an era maybe not missed but entertaining to partake in. The menu comes with a pre-ordained warning that service time can be slow due to the freshness of the food preparation. That was definitely apparent when my cottage pie with chips and peas appeared. After taking a spoo-forkful I was quite taken back by the flavours that took course it’s definitely the best pie I’ve had!

Nice, homely atmosphere. The owners are really lovely and great company. The owner's father fought in WWII and he has a fantastic display of military uniforms and photos. Even the music is from that era, which was quite relaxing and enjoyable.

Visited today with family and we all agreed we have found our new favourite spot! The food was amazing, and all made to order from scratch. Mum had a cooked breakfast and every part was so fresh and such good quality! The service was second to none, and nothing was too much to ask. All the staff were amazing with the kids and happy to have a laugh with us adults also. The vibe is fantastic, and decor so special! Absolutely cannot fault this place, they truly deserve the five stars and more!!

We found this cafe purely by chance as our usual spot was closed. The decor is fantastic, decked out in WW2 memorabilia! Old war time music playing too - really loved it. I wish I'd discovered this place before my grandad passed away late last ye ar at 98 years old being an old war hero himself, I'm sure it would have meant a lot to him to visit. The owner was very accommodating and shared knowledge from some of the photos on the walls and the young girls waiting were also great. I so wanted to give a glowing 5 star review but the food just wasn't the best. The basic breakfast really is very basic! The sausage tasted like it was cheap and was if anything a bit under. I would return just for the surroundings and maybe try something else to see if the dinners are any better than the breakfast. If you're into military history then you really must visit.

My partner and I went in to Cloes cafe today for a much needed cooked breakfast and to say we were disappointed is an understatement. We waited well over 45 mins for our food to arrive and there were only two other tables in there who already had theirs so why the wait? When the food arrived it was shocking. The sausages tasted like cheap happy shopper sausages, the eggs were hard, hash browns soggy and really greasy and plates were swimming in beans. This was the worst breakfast we have ever eaten and needless to say, we will not be returning!

Upon entry your greeted with a war themed cafe. Plug sockets covered in sauce and dust looking like they haven’t been cleaned since the 1930s, but I guess that’s the theme they are going for. Clearly indicates that it’s not fast food and you can expect a wait, well I can safely assure you that it blew my expectations as we waited 40 minutes for some chips. The portions weren’t exactly generous, suppose I got the full experience when I was greeted with rations. Considering it’s world war themed. Can’t believe I had to remortgage my house to pay for this. Wouldn’t go again if I was drafted.

Incredibly disappointed. This lovely cafe has a great vibe & good people. My mother & I ordered a roast dinner each. Mum specially requested *breast of chicken & I ordered lamb. We waited a good 40+ mins to receive the meals. Both of us were stunned by the plates served to us. My tablespoon of lamb looked like bits of shaved kebab meat that had been fried. Mum's chicken was 2 bits of thigh meat that looked dry as if microwaved. The portion size would good for a 10 year old. What was served was embarrassing to call a roast dinner with a price tag just shy of £15 each. Unfortunately, even though we were very hungry, paying £30 for that was a huge no, no. We found a really good fish & chip shop instead.

A very unique cafe, which we have recently discovered this year. We actually travel down from London as we love the unspoilt Seaford front and always eat here. A bit on querky side, but the food is amazing, very high quality products and plentiful. Sometimes you have to wait a while as everything is cooked to order, but no longer than you would wait in a restaurant and the food is definitely worth the wait. The young ladies at front of house at weekends work hard and make you feel welcome.

We are always delighted to visit Cafe Cloe’s. We enjoy English home made traditional cooking with large portions of vegetables, a choice of roasts, homemade pies, full English breakfasts, omelettes etc. traditional homemade puddings and cakes. We accept that waiting is part of the service at Cafe Cloe’s as microwave cookery is not part of what they do and everything is cooked freshly and to order. Whilst waiting we thoroughly enjoy unlimited pots of tea with a warm and friendly atmosphere and service, whilst listing to music from the 1940s, Vera Lynn etc and enjoying the ambience of this 1940s cafe/restaurant.
