Looked up cafes for breakfast near the port and found this gem. Nothing to look at as its a porta cabin but inside its clean and the food is excellent. Thick bread and butter, great breakfasts and very reasonable prices. Love the dog but not sure everyone would appreciate the staff stroking the dog and then continuing to serve food but we love dogs and doesn't bother us. The tea and coffee were best tasted, not fancy just proper tea and coffee. Would definately recommend, parking at the rear too. Easy to walk from port or premier inn, and great value. Staff very friendly and will definitely return next trip to Newhaven.

Popped in on a whim Saturday morning. Doesn't look much from outside (or in to be fair) as it's just a portakabin on the edge of an industrial estate but such good food, such friendly staff, and such cheap prices. I had a cheese stick (£2.50) and a cuppa (50p) and friends had doorstop sandwiches while the friendly lady serving asked about our walk ahead. In an ideal world I'd have stayed for a chocolate milkshake and then gone for a nice long lie down in a hammock but we had a walk to do. If you're either working in, or walking from, Newhaven make this your pitstop.

Although a workman's cafe this still serves good meals and cheap coffees. The menu offers a good variety of English breakfasts and veggie ones too doing with many other choices. The staff are chatty and polite, there is free parking behind the building and my all day breakfast was freshly cooked, covered the plate and was well cooked.

Went to have breakfast expecting the usual portion size but what I got instead was a feast! Generous portions that's tasty and no greasy. Properly cooked bacon too, none of that barely touched the pan flabby bacon. I went for a No.5 breakfast...it pretty much defeated me. Took me over half an hour of non stop eating to finish. Good choice in the menu and service with a smile. Would definitely go again. Now for my nap...zzzzzz 😍😪😴

Hearty portions, simple choice of breakfasts, rolls and snacks. Wood burner keeps the place warm in the winter, located on industrial side of Newhaven. Working mens spot rather than family vacation.

Best breakfasts to be had anywhere in the world of English breakfasts. This should have a Michelin star. Tucked out of the way it's the south coasts best secret. Absolute heaven and a must vist.Highly recommended

If you stray a few minutes out of town, you will find this cafe tucked away close to the flyover and roundabout. It is a gem. There is a wide and delicious menu (a lot of all-day breakfasts to choose from) and they come with a mug (not cup) of tea or coffee. The staff are helpful and chatty and there is a lot of space inside and the odd newspaper laying around to read. It is used heavily by local workers and I was surprised to find it on Tripadvisor, but I am happy to recommend this as it was recommended by a pal who lives local. I often stop here and don't even live in Sussex.

Really delicious selection of fresh sandwiches including baguettes, toasties and filled focaccias priced around £4. The focaccia in the photo is the Brie and bacon focaccia which was £3.95. Staff will also heat it up for you which made it taste even better. Pastries cost around £2 each which is reasonably priced for a high street bakery and the cinnamon roll was very sweet and flavourful at prices at £1.90. There is not a large seating area and it can get busy but all in all a lovely place to have a light lunch.
