Lovely town pub with a olde worldly feel.

Reasonably priced food. Also do a great pint of Harvey's Old Ale in Autumn / Winter ☃️❄️. A rich, smooth Pint, the best pint of beer I've had this year (2024).

Nice place for a drink with friends.

Stopped here after doing the Seven Sisters walk and definitely agree with the reviews. Friendly service and great food, they also had a gluten free menu which we were impressed by. Lovely courtyard out front.

This was the find of the summer! A beautiful secret garden and covered eating area tucked away behind the pub. Beautiful decor, plush sofas to have a drink before seating, excellent menu (great Sunday lunch options), child and dog friendly. The chef/owner himself even greeted us on the way in! Absolutely recommend this lovely venue.

Decent food , lovely people and great atmosphere

Good value pub food and drink. I had the sirloin steak which came with chips, mushrooms and peas and was very nice. My partner had the chicken Milanese which he enjoyed. The staff are friendly and helpful.

This is a cracking little pub. We visited as a family of 6, (4adults and 2 children) and sat outside to eat. The food was delicious, good portions and reasonably priced and according to my Husband and Dad the ale was good. Staff were friendly and professional. Highly recommend and will go again next time we visit Seaford!

Lovely old fashioned town centre pub, better than it looks from the outside! Really busy at lunchtime, mostly people eating, both inside and in the courtyard. Pretty standard pub menu, but good food at reasonable prices, and good range of drinks, including 4 or 5 handpulled beers. Recommended and will go again when visiting the area. Staff all good too!

A quick place to relax and grab a drink.. I was really happy being there. It's not just friendly I should say about the staff, but they treat you the way you would always wish to.. They all had great sense of humour that they even remembered the daily one's name surprised me. I was served by two different people on both my drinks, and much say, I was really happy with both.. They not only just value me, but also ensure that what I ordered ( 2 double pink gin and lemonade and Corona Beer) was completely upon my choice and the way I wanted it.. Soups of the day options were also available Nd also had options for quick bites at the counter.. such a happy place to be happy 😊

Cracking pub with a proper old smugglers feel to it. Food order was ready in a good time and was hot and tasty. Staff were friendly and checked that everything was to our liking. Will definitely be back to try more of the menu.

Found this venue by chance and were drawn in by the ambience. A lovely day so we sat outside to enjoy some generous sandwiches when suddenly, with just a blur , my sandwich disappeared into the beak of a swooping Herring Gull. To much amusement of the other customers, the staff heard the commotion and promptly insisted on supplying another sandwich. Absolutely no need as it was, of course, not their fault. I am l lost for words. Well done Old Boot !

Six local writers had lunch at Old Boot - we each ordered something different - prawn sandwich, fish & chips, meze etc and each meal was absolutely delicious. Classic pub food but good ingredients very carefully prepared. Food came quickly & staff were all friendly & helpful.

Good range of food. All typical pub grub but we enjoyed what we ordered, it was presented well, was tasty and good size portions.. Plenty of seating both inside and out. Bar staff friendly and courteous. Will definitely go again.

Had a late Sunday lunch with the wife , I had a lamb roast , my wife a supposed veg burger , we've always enjoyed food here but felt very let down this Sunday, on mine the lamb was dry and tough (I've not experienced lamb like that ) but worse was my wife's burger was very questionable on whether it was vegetarian or meat Alas , very disappointed with food I can only describe as mediocre 😕

The atmosphere and service were fantastic at a wonderful location. The food was delicious, and the service was exceptional. I had an amazing time and will definitely be returning at the first opportunity.

Popped in late hoping for food and was not disappointed. Had one of the tastiest burgers I have had. Beer was well kept. Staff were very pleasant and had service with a smile at the end of a long bank holiday weekend.

What a fantastic night. The food was amazing, the staff provided a second to none service. The live band Buckler's Reel were fantastic and had the whole place rocking non stop. We couldn’t have asked for anything better. Highly recommended. Thank you.

Whilst the pub was a very busy late Friday afternoon, my impression was generally good, obviously popular with locals. The ladies loo was awful and stinky needi g s deep clean of the floors, with an inebriated customer making unearthly groaning noises and an empty vodka bottle in the bin by the sinks, issues that ought to be addressed. Perhaps she left after this!

Went for lunch with a friend. It was busy, but the food came out quickly. Good was excellent quality. Staff friendly and helpful.

Decent pub with broad mix of clientele and decent beer. They have live music some nights. Curious mural on the wall of three musicians- appears to be Jimi Hendrix (upside down/left-handed guitar), Ian Anderson (flute!) and a generic long-haired rock star of ambiguous gender. Anyone know who it is?

Great pub! Visited this afternoon by chance as we were planning to go elsewhere but changed our minds and thought we'd call in here. We sat outside as the sun was out for a change, pub was busy but we got a table in the sunshine. I ordered a jacket with chilli con carne and coleslaw, it was very good! Large portions and really was very well made. Mrs had a sausage and onion baguette which came with chips and salad, she was equally as happy with her choice. Pub is dog friendly so we took ours into the garden with us 😊 Staff were friendly and attentive, young lad with northern accent (maybe Geordie) was very good as was the girl on the bar. So glad we found this place, will definitely be back. If in the area I recommend giving it a try!

Awesome little pub, went there after our hike from eastboroune. Had the fish and chips which were lovely and the staff were so nice. Would recommend this place for sure.

Huge but cosy pub. The food looked fabulous and very reasonably priced, compared with other places. Coffee and tea stop for me no I cannot assess the ales but definitely on my return list.

Don't let the sticky carpet at the bar put you off eating here. The Sunday roasts that we had were excellent!

Good food.and the pub is oldy style but lots of room in side and out in the yard. The staff are helpful and very friendly. The prices are ok. It's worth going back to them as they say that they have live music and DJ there each weekend.

Didn't get a chance to eat. We booked but they cancelled a couple of hours before we had booked. Staff shortage. It really messed up our plans on our short break in Seaford. No where else to eat on a Sunday evening.

Why is the kitchen closing so early? We went on a Saturday night and we were told that the kitchen is closing at 7:30. Way too early.

We were told we had 15 mins to order food but then when we went up 5 mins later we were firstly refused and then they changed their mind but were out of everything we wanted to order so that was disappointing.

Don't look at the front from the street it's awful!! Go in by the side or the rear through it's seated outside space A really busy pub from days of Olde - nothing fussy inside but lots of tables and space But really you go for the beer and food neither of which disappoints. I counted five real ales on offer and settled with the Harveys. Well Harvey's Brewery is only 10 miles away and travels well. It was perfectly cellared and served. Food is a high spot here and appreciated all the extra staff to service tables with delivery of food. Everything looked fabulous but my pick is the Seafood Special at £12.95 just superb on the "Specials" chalkboard. Beer is cheaper than its Brighton neighbour as is food. Seaford is delivering an attack on the cost of living which is another reason to go and enjoy. Sitting outside on a hot hot day with fabulous food and Harvey's Ale - what more can seduce you?

We go there every week as the food is very good and sitting in the garden is lovely can't fault the old boot best in seaford .

It was ok, but tables shouldn't be took up if people want to just a drink!! If you want a table I think it's first come first served in my opinion because yesterday we had to sit outside because 5 tables were booked so there was nowhere to sit!!

Had a very pleasant Fathers day Sunday lunch. Good atmosphere and good friendly service. My only minor gripe was portion size, couldn't eat it all, but will go again next time I'm in the area.

Went to Old Boot yesterday about 1pm and found the pub to be quaint and charming, the staff were helpful and the food was presented very nicely. We will definitely visit again before too long.
