The best restaurants in Lake North Isle of Wight South East

People were very friendly and bar area dining area was warm and bright. Probably at its best in summer as huge glass windows give out onto mountain backdrop. Draught beer included an ale from Brotherswater which was excellent. Food was good without being exceptional. You need to book. Works in sittings but there was ample time given.

Actually one of the best Sunday lunches I have ever had, fresh food cooked to perfection with roast beef that melted in your mouth, very accomodating friendly hosts serving a group of 12 friends all at once, thoroughly recommended, beautiful..

Just returned home after a 2 day break with hubby & our 2 Springers for our Ruby wedding anniversary. First came for our silver wedding anniversary & then our 30th. Well you didn’t disappoint! Lovely, friendly staff. Breakfast’s & dinner’s were excellent. Full marks to the chef for quality food, beautifully presented. Have to mention Alvin. What a delightful gent 🤗. Made sure we were well looked after & spoilt our Springers with sausage at breakfast. A truly stunning hotel. The most enjoyable stay. Thank you

Best chinese iv ever had on the island.Food Is amazing massive portons. Mrs Lee is always happy and friendly. Really good Chinese that we always go back too.

I ordered my food online at 5.10 my food still had not arrived by 7.30 so I called up and was told it wouldn't be too long. By this time my kids had already gone past bedtime without dinner. My food arrived at 7.50 and was missing some so I had to call again. I was told it would be dropped off soon which was already annoying as kids had to go to bed but I waited anyway. Half hour later I called to see how long as in this time the duck had become freezing and dry. I asked for a refund as the food looked awful now and the kids went to bed but was refused one and told by the manager that the food would be dropped off even though I said I didn't want it. I then had a young girl call me off of a mobile asking if I wanted the food. The girl was rude and when I told her not be so rude she told me she was unwell that was why. It is now 8.50 and Iv had no fresh food delivered and no refund dropped off and I can't go and collect it now as the kids are asleep. What a rude bunch of people, will not be ordering from there ever again.

Called in here on the off chance we could get a table for our family of six (including two children) for an evening meal. The restaurant & tavern bar were empty, not a person at the bar or sitting eating. When we approached the bar & asked if they were serving food a very unfriendly barman responded with ‘only serving residents’. It clearly stated outside that it was open to ‘non-residents’, I understand if staff issues/supplies are an issue but there is no excuse for rudeness! Although on reflection this Best Western establishment is extremely tired & dated so he probably did us a favour! I would avoid.

Un bar encantador, acogedor y confortable con una amplia selección de bebidas. Mi compañero era un fanático particular de la cerveza real Ullswater Blonde. La ginebra de ruibarbo es deliciosa al igual que la fresa y la lima. Hay muchos asientos, pero hay muchos lugares pequeños para una charla acogedora.

Menú de mediodía del domingo. La comida es excelente al igual que el servicio, con preciosas vistas a los jardines y al lago.

Food was ok, service not so. One lady with an Australian accent shouldn’t work in hospitality. Quite rude and not inviting in the slightest. Everything seemed to be too much trouble. Main meals were fine for the pre booked table but then waited 30 minutes for a desert before having to leave without receiving it. Requested a refund which I still haven’t received over 5 weeks later. Been in touch with The Inn Collection group who manage or own the pub with several emails and still can’t get it sorted. I like to see places do well especially pubs and eateries but they’ve got to help themselves to start with.
