I've never been to East Avenue before and it was great. Food was better quality than most restaurants and half the price. Thanks for a lovely evening

Really friendly place and great food. Had a buffet laid out with good sandwiches and lots to choose from. Nice garden space and Really pretty in the summer with all the flowers.

Popped in after visiting the garden centre for some drinks and cake. Nice cake selection including a lovely lemon fudge cake and a very nice scone with my cream tea. Looks a popular place for a full lunch too. Can imagine it gets busy at weekends.

Cancelled baby shower at late notice, despite being booked for 5 months!

My friend and I came here today, we walked in and got a table straight away without booking. We ordered from the valentines menu. We ordered our meals at the same time (table service) and my friends meal turned up but not mine. So we left it for a while, then about 5 minutes later mine still wasn’t out so my friend started to eat as she didn’t want hers to go cold. I got the attention of a staff member and she had said she noticed it looked strange so checked and my starter had gone on the mains side. So it would be 1 minute and they are sorting it… unfortunately it was 12 minutes later my food had come out, so nearly 20 minutes after my friend had hers, and had finished. The staff was apologetic about it. For mains I had risotto, and my friend had the Sea bass. My risotto was okay, could have done with a bit of cheese and I think the mushrooms cut instead of whole mushrooms?? They were only buttons but think they would be better in slices or different. The food wasn’t hot, it was just warm but after the whole starters, we just wanted out. For desert, we went for the cheesecake as the lemon tart was out, but we took it home as we had had enough at that point. Drinks were okay, quickly done. The staff were all very polite and kind, just a shame a few bits let them down. I enjoy the menu at the Vintage Inn group so I would return, the setting is lovely, but I’m not sure if I would eat here again or not. Everything tasted great, just a shame about the timings!

¡Qué decepción! Mi amigo y yo nos conocimos para un almuerzo de Navidad hoy. Ella pidió aguacate y huevos escalfados en masa madre y como soy intolerante al gluten, pedí el curry vegano. La masa madre no estaba tostada y los huevos estaban demasiado escalfados, así que mi amiga le preguntó si podía hacer que se tostara. ¡Se lo llevaron y tardó media hora en recuperarlo! ¡Mientras tanto tengo un tazón de arroz cubierto con verduras de raíz escamosa sin salsa y poca especia! Comí un poco mientras tenía hambre, pero dejé una buena cantidad ya que no era muy agradable. Nos quejamos de la cantidad de tiempo para conseguir la comida de mis amigos y el curry que no era un curry! Solo una disculpa y “el curry es como lo hacen y que es diferente a otros curry” ¡Siento que no sea suficiente! Pedí mi dinero de vuelta, pero me dijeron que porque había comido algo de él no me reembolsarían! ¡Ni siquiera un gesto de buena voluntad de beber! Nunca me había quejado antes y me pareció inaceptable la actitud del restaurante.

Clean pub, friendly and welcoming. Dogs and children welcome. Food was very good, good quantity and plentiful choice. Drinks were brought to table but you could also order at the bar. Quite a good size car park but lots of cars. Outside area and a smokers hut. Definitely one to visit if you are in the area. Would recommend booking ideally, and also be aware people tend to eat early and leave quite early compared to some pubs in the area.

Disappointed with my thin half of ciabbatta for £9! I was still hungry afterwards. The baguettes looked better value and they were the same price, 2 large baguettes and plenty of filling. Why did I not have a whole ciabbatta? I didn't complain at the time as didn't want to spoil the atmosphere with my friend

We dropped in for lunch at 12 pm. We could see people waiting in the car park showed promise. Despite being busy we were offered a table. We both chose steak and ale pie, and we're not disappointed. You could instantly tell it was home made, it was full of meat and tastes amazing probably the best pie I've eaten in a pub. We asked for extra gravy you could see it was made from the stock from the meat. Staff were very friendly, pub clean I will be back

We've been here several times for lunch and we will not be coming again. Expensive food that's not that good. It does look much better than the old cafe that was there before but that is all I can say about it.
