Popped in after visiting the garden centre for some drinks and cake. Nice cake selection including a lovely lemon fudge cake and a very nice scone with my cream tea. Looks a popular place for a full lunch too. Can imagine it gets busy at weekends.

My wife and I visited this restaurant while staying at a nearby hotel. Upon entering, we were immediately greeted by a friendly staff member who had a smile on his face. We were seated right away, and the main menus were provided promptly. The staff were very welcoming, contributing to the amazing atmosphere of the restaurant. We ordered chicken curry and chicken biryani, and I highly recommend these dishes; they were full of flavor and had great texture. The dessert was also excellent. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone at the restaurant. If you travel to Southampton, be sure to visit this place

Clean pub, friendly and welcoming. Dogs and children welcome. Food was very good, good quantity and plentiful choice. Drinks were brought to table but you could also order at the bar. Quite a good size car park but lots of cars. Outside area and a smokers hut. Definitely one to visit if you are in the area. Would recommend booking ideally, and also be aware people tend to eat early and leave quite early compared to some pubs in the area.

Came on a Monday night with friends for dinner. One friend and I ordered the fish pie as it had been recommends to us. When it came out the portion was not as I had expected, literally half the height of the oval dish it was cooked in along with 5 small pieces of vegetables that looked more like a garnish than an accompaniment. Not at all what I expected for just shy of £18. I asked the server what size we had been given and she replied it was a large and then explained that fish pie shrinks when it is cooked. I have been a chef myself for over thirty years both in hotels and the forces and have never ever cooked a fish pie that ‘shrinks’! Our two partners had different dishes and they were hugely satisfied with them, but it left myself and my friend feeling deflated by our experience. I come to this pub a lot in the summer to drink as I love the ‘prettiness’ of the exterior, but alas I shall not be eating here for some time.

We've been here several times for lunch and we will not be coming again. Expensive food that's not that good. It does look much better than the old cafe that was there before but that is all I can say about it.
