Fishers Pond in Eastleigh

Unbelievable experience from the minute we entered Fishers Pond! Firstly, the food! Out of this world! Steak cooked to perfection! Lamb skewers beautiful and tender! Signature burger amazing! Secondly, the service! We were served by Neil and what an absolute gentleman he was! Very knowledgable on the history of the pub and area and took time out of his busy workload to talk to us about the origins of the pub and he was very funny too! An absolute credit to Fishers Pond as were all the staff we encountered! Lastly, overall! You will not be disappointed to if you visit this place! I work up and down the country in my role at work staying in a wide variety of places and eating in a number of establishments and this is up there with anything I have experienced. Well done all, keep up the great work, my friends and I will be back!

Called in on the off chance for an early dinner on our way home after spending the day at Marwell Zoo. Very pleasantly surprised by a lovely view of the lake, friendly service and delicious food. Good choice!

Second visit last night to celebrate my birthday with my family. Excellent food which we all enjoyed, including very clear gluten free options that really helps. A special mention to Nick the waiter. His charm and sense of humour really brightened our day and helped make the occasion more special. Thank you very much.

We came here for my nephews birthday meal after Marwell zoo, lovely restaurant, big lake outside, lovely setting for dinner or drinks. We were served by Sarah who was fabulous and very attentive with the kids, all staff we encountered were really friendly and helpful! Great menu, food was absolutely amazing, we all commented on how impressed we were with the food! I had the signature burger and it was delicious! Thank you :)

We were celebrating my parents' 70th wedding anniversary and they wanted to come here. I cannot praise Lyn and her team enough. It would be a string of superlatives. They had gone the extra mile for mum and dad and we're attentive, engaging and professional delightfulness personified. The food was well cooked and presented. The first time we have eaten here since it was refurbished. I must say they have done a good job. The place looks smart inside and out the service is first class and the food excellent. I was presently surprised with the price as well. I can really recommend this place and we will be using it again and again

Went in for Sunday lunch, meal came out cold & had to be reheated. Food wasn’t anything special. Only 2 roast potatoes I think was a bit poor. I certainly wouldn’t recommend or be returning any time soon.

My pie was small with hard, dry pastry and a very small amount of filling - very stingy and perhaps had been sitting under a heater for quite a long time. Mash and veg were very nice. Chips were overcooked and dried out. Burger was nice, but bread was very dry and crumby - not good at all. Two children’s meals were good although the pasta portion was tiny and when we asked for a top up we were made to purchase a whole additional children’s meal! Burger was £20 including a £2.50 charge for bacon - a real rip off. Everything else was overpriced and ‘ok’ but not actually very good. Fortunately we were only there for a meal on the way home from the zoo, would definitely not recommend this place for anything else and will not be back. It’s just not worth the high prices.

Delicious food, very well presented. Friendly, attentive staff, pleasant surroundings, relaxed atmosphere. Meal was served within a reasonable time but I had a 40 minute wait from order of dessert, although I was advised that there would be a wait but I hadn’t expected quite so long, but I must say it was worth the wait. The Honey Pot was exquisite. All in all a very good, reasonably priced meal and would definitely return.

Very friendly well fitted out pub. Fires on, great ambience and views outside. Didn’t have a booking but got us in. Waiting staff were great big shout out to Mark that looked after us. Food was tasty looked as good as it does on pictures on trip advisor

This place has never let me down and after a couple of years it’s still the same although a tasteful redecoration has taken place. Food and wine “Malbec” amazing as was the service from Nick who has been there on most occasions I can remain the last 10 years or so. Well done Fishers Pond !!!

We went back to The Fishers Pond Saturday Evening, another night of fabulous food! My Mothers dietary requirements wasn't a problem. Nick is a real asset to the place and brings an extra smile to your face. Thank you again for the lively evening spent in your beautiful establishment.

Very disappointed with the lack of Choice from menu , first 2 choices, they didn’t have and 3rd choice which was the gammon was full of gristle and my wife couldn’t eat it. We had nothing fancy really yet the bill was extortionate. a member of staff needs to polish up their customer service and not look and sound so miserable when dealing with the customer. We will never go back here again

visited the fishers pond mid January, excellent service and food, it was late lunchtime but still very busy, brilliant atmosphere, my wife had the chicken forestiere, while i had the pork belly,both excellent, followed by creme brulee for both, would recommend highly, make sure you book as there wasn't many places left,
