Good beer (and other drinks) and superb food. Host was extremely welcoming and attentive.

A very quirky and cute village pub. They could possibly do with some more staff to deal with how busy it gets, but the service was with a smile and the food tasty.

A warm, well maintained, clean and friendly tavern offering excellent meals and deserts. We enjoyed our dinner and the atmosphere was very comfortable.

My husband, daughter and I were visiting friends for a week in Shipston and this place became our second home. The building is really lovely- traditional and with a very pretty bar which is really cozy... perfect for dogs, kids and anyone wanting a good chat and a great pint (fab selection of ales and lagers). We loved the sofa in the corner for playing cards. I imagine it's super lovely when the fire is lit in winter. It's the garden that we loved most though.. there's a natural wig wam tree thing with kids stuff in so perfect for little ones. Lots of tables with an uninterrupted view of the rolling hills. They don't 'do' food but have a wood fired pizza oven that comes once every month and it was amazing! I think they have a similar thing with local fish and chips too. We were also there on 'sharing night' when the locals all bring in stuff like cheese and home made bread to share on the bar. All in all, this was a fantastic pub with great staff, a beautiful garden and a really charming, cozy bar. We will be back!

Simply Superb! 5* every time. The food has sublime, intense flavours and every bite is a true heavenly experience. Quality is the key to all the wonderful creations made with first rate ingredients and aesthetically delight each diner. Wine choices are well informed. This is my fifth visit to this wonderful place. The ambience is so warm, welcoming and comfortable. The family hosts are the friendliest and most informative of persons making the whole experience fabulous, like being in their home as friends. We hear many repeat customers are regulars and it is easy to see why. For a special night out this must not be missed and you’ll be back! Well done Sarah, Anthony & Harry, you have raised the bar in this locality.

Had a meal here on Friday lunchtime (2 burgers with a side of dirty fries) and have to say they were the best burgers we’ve had! The portions sizes are more than generous - we couldn’t finish it all which doesn’t happen very often! Service was excellent, staff always go above and beyond. Will definitely be back!

We stayed here for one night. It was a Sunday. The owner and his staff were welcoming and helpful. Our room was a step away from the main door to the pub. It was quite small. Well equipped though. The sliding door into the shower room was very noisy. There was no hot water to the wash basin. The plug didn’t work either. The owner said he was waiting for someone to do the work. There were plenty of teas, coffee, biscuits, milk etc. Also botties of water and orange juice. We found the parking quite difficult. The pub is situated in a narrow lane with no actual car park. We enjoyed our stay. The evening meal which was predominantly Greek was very good.
