Came here for a family meal Ordering process not explained and drinks took forever to arrive. To order food you put ticks on boxes and give to the waiter Quite compact inside very little room around tables bit overcrowded for me Food was ok if a little over sized (lots of waste!!!) Food arrived as it was ready although we had ordered separately- but it was just placed on the lazy Susan regardless and not announced what it was Staff quite snappy and rude - as someone else has commented on another review - staff bark at you to make space rather than take away dirty plates etc first Was ok - pricey for what it is Don’t think I would return - I’ve had better !!!

We were visiting Aardvark Books and beginning to feel overwhelmed by the sheer choice on offer, so stopped for coffee and cake. You can sit in (surrounded by books) or outside, all very comfortable - good coffee and lovely home-made cakes - I had a traditional Victoria Sandwich and my other half had Lemon Drizzle. Our food and drink was served on an eclectic mix of vintage china ware and it was all very relaxed.

Went for the family day/eve over bank holiday weekend. Had a drink and burger in garden with our family and friends which was lovely. However we decided to move in at 8.45 for the live music. Our children (4 kids between us aged 7-12) asks to throw a ball outside In the picnic area which is fine by us. 20 minutes later an adult from our party goes to check on our children to find an adult male swearing and shouting at our kids about messing with a child’s drink. Now I am under no illusion about innocent children but 1) our children were drinking orange juice not the coke the bloke was swearing about and 2) this family were sat next to us and could of easily spoken to us regarding the incident they thought unfolded. When I went over to speak to the man I was met with F off and p off and all sorts of chants of off. When I went to speak to bar staff they were equally horrified by the unfolding (as were 2 punters by the bar) however when the manger came over to discuss it was fairly obviously these people were locals and he did not want to reprimand them. All in what could of been a fantastic family friendly evening was tainted by the behaviour of some certain adults. Would not go again.

An impromptu visit on a Wednesday with family who had never been to the Trigger Pond before and it was perfect timing - 2 for 1 burger night! The portions were very generous and perfectly cooked (the chips are particularly amazing). Special mention to Tyler who gave us faultless service - attentive, courteous and charming. We heard another table complimenting him too. A real credit to the pub. Thanks for a lovely meal!

Stopped to charge the car. Store was closed due to a card fault so used the drive thru! No issues. Went to the door to see if they would let our daughter use the toilet (it had been a long drive). The rudest old lady was sat in her Modus outside stuffing her face. Stated she was a member of staff. We asked if they could let us in so our daughter could use the toilet - her growl/reply "No - we are not a services love". Then back to stuffing her face!!! 🙄
