After a long period of absence we went for drinks here on Christmas Eve. Not a single pump was working and a small bottle of Peroni and an equally small (and disgusting) bottle of Prosecco was charged at £10! The manager was overheard telling another punter that they were “running down the stock” which translates to “we’re going to be closing soon”. Such a shame - this used to be an amazing pub years ago. Mis-management has led to the state it is now in. Bring back the former owners.

Love love love, such a lovely ambience and so friendly. We had a gorgeous meal, there is a little bit of a wait in between courses, but it just shows the food is fresh and also gives you time to digest and enjoy. Really enjoyed, lovely staff…..full packed menu and nothing too much trouble. Looking forward to going again VERY soon. Keep up the good work 🥰

Previously visited the Tearooms when they were located outside the front of Perry Court. The food was excellent and cheese, chutney sandwiches were huge and fresh. Has to be said for the new cafe the staff are great - however the new sandwiches are appalling. Cheap supermarket, sliced bread and a smattering of grated cheese for ££. Phenomenally expensive. A huge disappointment and wouldn't return.

We had travelled from The North to visit family in Kent and we were hopeful this Chinese take away would be great….unfortunately it wasn’t ! The lemon chicken was good, however the chicken balls had that ‘overused oil twang ‘ and the seafood Thai red curry was poor. The egg fried rice was dry and the prawn crackers were past their best. All in all I wish I would have used an App to provide our Chinese meal. I would not recommend .

We stayed here recently in our motorhome on the way to the tunnel (ring ahead to book space on the car park). Very warm and friendly welcome, food was delicious, chatted to some friendly locals - a brilliant start to our holiday. Highly recommend.

I visited The Tickled Trout to celebrate my birthday following a previous visit last year. The pub offers a wide/varied range of options on its menu. I opted for the pull pork and burger option which was absolutely delicious and was beautifully presented! I followed this with the banoffee dessert which was a wonderful conclusion to the meal! The staff were extremely welcoming when we arrived and were friendly and attentive throughout! I would highly recommend The Tickled Trout and would personally like to thank them for providing such a wonderful lunchtime experience!

It was ok and thought we had found a real gem, however…….very slim pickings on the menu, 2 of the 6 mains were sold out even at 6pm. So thank good for the specials board. The food good can’t fault that, but don’t have the steak if you like it blue as they won’t accommodate it. Staff were a real struggle though a lovely lad in there but the female side was just god awful. Did not make for a warm welcome and consistently reminded us that they needed the table at a certain time, (which believe you me, we knew already) practically ushered us from our seats, to which made us not want another drink in the bar area. Refused to serve my 22 year old daughter alcohol, even though she had a work lanyard to which they snuffed (hey ho their pub 🤷🏼♀️) but not great for her after hard shift on a Saturday!! So no rush at all to go back. Thankfully have found another pub 10 mins away which is just fab!!
