The best restaurants in Walberton Arun South East

Lovely pub with excellent food. We had the fish sharing platter which was all lovely then the burger and belly pork for main. We couldn’t manage a dessert but the homemade cheesecakes sounded and looked yummy! Food way lovely, service was excellent and it’s was a romantic date night setting (not a traditional type pub).

Private 50th party for 14 on Saturday which had been arranged since October. Liaising with the team to prepare the event was brilliant. Catherine supported every step and once the menu was decided the wine pairings were excellent. We had pre-dinner drinks in the cellar with some delicious nibbles. Main courses were fantastic and our guests couldn’t stop talking about the mash! Service was impeccable and huge thanks to Luke, Ellen and the whole team for making the whole evening go so smoothly. The ambience was great and topped with a fabulous over night stay in an incredible room, we couldn’t have asked for more. Huge thanks to the team, we will be back. Plus, many of our guests had never visited The Pig before and they were very impressed.

Great food great feeling when you walk through the door very friendly

Stayed for one night in the area and found this little gem on Google for breakfast. Really friendly staff and lovely food. We bought some bread and cakes in the shop to take home. Definitely visit again if in the area.

A very disappointing valentines meal. Greeted for our pre-odered 3 course meal by a rude hostess, we were the first to be seated in the restaurant for the night. 25 minuets later, our starter arrived before our drinks ( a complimentary glass of prosecco each and a bottle of tap water). Starters was very bland and the fried item were cold, even though we are one of three parties in the restaurant at this point. Luckily, our mains arrived promptly after our starter. Yet, this consisted of dry and bland chicken. When we finished, it took the staff about 30 minuets to clear our plates. We then continued to wait 20 extra minuets before we gave up waiting for our desert and had to ask 3 times for someone to grab the bill for us. During this time, we started talking to the couple sat next to us who seemed to be having similar issues. Overall, this was a very disappointing meal and no one single memeber of staff appologies for the poor servise.

We had a belated company Christmas meal and the food was amazing and service the same and the owners were very accomdating and we had a great evening I cannot reccomend higly enough..

A wonderful stay at this Piggy! Beautiful room, lovely, helpful staff and delicious food. My only niggle was the restaurant and our bedroom was very dark and dimly lit. It was difficult to read the menus in the restaurant and difficult to see for getting ready/dressed in our bedroom. We were also the first guests to take part in a tasting of four English wines in the Pig wine cellar which was so good! Will was very informative and the wine & ambience was delightful. All in all, a fabulous time! 😊

We made an impromptu stop here on a wet and miserable night on the off chance of getting a table. We were welcomed on our arrival and offered a choice of tables. The service was great, the food was excellent and the pub had a lovely atmosphere. Prices were what you would expect - We will definitely return.

What’s happened? Ordered a takeaway and this is nothing like the old food. Noodles, rice seem the same but the meat… everything is considerably worse. Gutted to see this place move into bland microwave zone. Let’s see if this is the end for me here…
