Great flavour food, unusual combinations and excellent portions. A lovely light dining area and you can have a table overlooking the beautiful scenery and golf course. The only negative was the male servers who were a bit surly, but don't let this put you off as the young girl server was delightful.

Stayed for one night in the area and found this little gem on Google for breakfast. Really friendly staff and lovely food. We bought some bread and cakes in the shop to take home. Definitely visit again if in the area.

Very Disappointed. My partner and I had pre ordered a 3-course dinner from a set menu at this beautiful hotel for Valentine’s Day and were very excited about it. Upon arrival we were the first to be sat, and was told a glass of Prosecco and tap water will be arriving shortly. 25 Mins later our starter arrived, before our drinks. The starter tasted very bland and to be honest tasted like supermarket food. The BBQ sauce for the antipasti im pretty sure is just Heinz BBQ sauce. 10 mins into our starter our glass of Prosecco and tap water finally arrived. At this point there were only half a dozen of tables, not very busy. Our mains arrived promptly after, and were greeted with dry and bland chicken and fondant potato was just awful. Having finished our mains, the plates sat at the side of the table for about 30mins, no one came over to check on us or offer us any drinks. We then waited a further 20 mins for our desserts by which point we had ran out of patience and asked a waitress for the bill. Then a young chap dumps a jug or water on our table, despite already having one and then that same waitress brings us 1 of our 2 desserts, I assume to try and change our minds but having waited nearly an hour for just the desserts, enough was enough. We met a lovely couple who sat next to us who started to have them same problems we did. By this point the restaurant was full and the staff were working very hard but were lacking the basics of customer service. It seemed very unorganised and frantic. We got 50% of the bill but still doesn’t make up for a horrid time. I will stress this is solely based on the restaurant and not the hotel itself. Having worked in the industry myself I understand reviews like this aren’t pleasant, especially when you’ve worked hard but hopefully it will be used constructively.

Met with family visiting Arundel on a Sunday lunch time. Had not been to this pub before although have been to Arundel on many occasions to eat , we had never ventured up as far as the Cathedral area. Crikey , the pub is really good. This place is a traditional Sussex pub newly refurbished , with a fresh vibe, whilst maintaining its historic roots . The dining room is light and airy , combining a blend of traditional furniture and funky artwork. The staff are very welcoming . I had the Sea bass in a tomato stew with , samphire , spinach and baby potatoes. The fish was cooked perfectly and was on a bed of scrummy fish enhancing vegetables . The tomato stew was , deeply flavoursome and very moreish. One of our group had fish and chips. Yes this is a pub staple dish and so often disappointing. Not disappointing at this pub . The fish was moist and perfectly cooked , encased in a flavoursome thin batter , that did not overpower the fish. The homemade chips …..oh the chips! They were spectacular. The others had traditional Sunday lunch. Generous portions of local perfectly cooked medium rare beef with a lovely range of flavoursome vegetables, perfectly crisp roasties and great gravy. Our server Kelly was truly awesome. Will definitely be visiting again.
