What a great find, the fish and chips from here were delicious. The fish is freshly fried to order and tasted fantastic. A very warm welcome from the people working there. Can highly recommend
I always enjoy coming here. The staff are friendly and the food is amazing. The set breakfast is very reasonable price and the staff is willing to change items if requested. Well done guys.
We ate at The Brasserie for my husband's birthday and we had a fabulous time! The staff were super friendly and helpful. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was just lovely. I can't praise them enough - we had a really great evening and good value for money. Will definitely be back!
Very pleased to find this place; we weren’t aware that The Pavillion is open to the public. The menu is updated regularly, Sunday roasts are fantastic with really high quality ingredients, the service is always friendly and the prices are very reasonable.

Came here with lots of family for my Hubby's Birthday on a busy Sunday. The Food was tremendous, the service was fantastic and friendly and all of the family wanted to come back again. It's great here and the menu has recently changed, so we will definitely be coming back again to try during the week. Thank you so much for making it so memorable and its just lovely to sit there and enjoy the views with good food, company and wine!
Thanks to all the staff!!
The service was reasonably quick but wasn't overly impressed with the selection of cakes, the slice of cake was small and very dry (didn't seem fresh) and the coffee not particularly flavourful.
This was a lovely find by a friend of mine we had the roast dinner was amazing and it was freshly cooked would highly recommend the staff really friendly and we got offered seconds which trust me you wouldn't be able to fit in 😂😂
We will be going here for a cream tea soon
Thank you staff we didn't feel rushed we ate and drank at our leisure and nothing was too much trouble
Extremely Disappointing Experience Despite Good Food – Serious Concerns About Halal Integrity and i advice all the people eating halal to not get there
We visited Street Souvlaki recently to celebrate my wife's birthday, after being informed that they serve halal food. Before ordering, I specifically asked the young man serving us whether the lamb and chicken were halal and prepared separately. He reassured me more than once that they were indeed halal and that separate utensils were used to avoid any cross-contamination.
The food itself was of good quality and tasted nice — we were initially quite happy with the experience.
However, as I went to the counter to pay, I witnessed something that left me shocked and disappointed. One of the staff members was cutting chicken with the same electric blade that had just been used to cut pork. I watched carefully to make sure, and indeed, he returned to cutting pork using the same blade.
When I raised this issue, the staff member involved didn't speak English, so the younger gentleman who had served us tried to help. He insisted, "No, no, we use separate knives," but I had to point out that it wasn’t a knife — the staff member had used the same electric blade, which clearly violated the promise of separation.
The older gentleman began speaking in another language, and instead of addressing the issue, he simply told me not to pay. I made several attempts to pay anyway, because the issue wasn’t about getting a free meal — it was about the principle and the lack of respect for halal requirements. Despite that, I was told to “just wait” in a very rude tone, as if I was causing an inconvenience.
Eventually, I was met with further rudeness and told, “It’s not our problem, what do you want us to do? We’re giving it to you for free.” That response was absolutely unacceptable. It’s not about the cost — it’s about contamination, honesty, and respect for dietary requirements.
If a restaurant cannot ensure that halal food is genuinely prepared and served in a halal-compliant way, they should not advertise it as such. Had I known this, I would have never eaten there.
This was a deeply disappointing and disrespectful experience, especially on what was meant to be a special occasion. I hope they take this matter seriously, because serving halal food comes with responsibility — and that trust should never be taken lightly.
Got takeaway as I often do on a Friday - the restaurant food is equally good. absolutely the best curry I’ve eaten - always outstanding quality and really tasty. I normally get the Gurkha Hill boy lamb or chicken (the lamb meat is cooked on a skewer and delicious). Today I thought I’d try the Paltane Messing - traditional pork and pork Choi curry served in Gurkha barracks - absolutely delicious - now I won’t be able to decide !!! Both can be ordered medium or hot. Truly outstanding Nepalese curry served in a traditional village pub - what more could you want !
Drinking a cappochino and a rock cake.
Very clean, service friendly.
They were busy making sandwiches etc to other customers. Everything looked delicious.
We hosted a celebration of life at the Sadler building a few days ago. Having used the venue before for a 60th birthday celebration we knew it would be great!
Julien Such helped with planning the event and Craig, the chef, prepared a menu of choices for the buffet. The buffet was quite a challenge as we had vegan, vegetarian, lactose intolerant, meat eating and coeliac guests, but I need not have worried. Everyone was catered for beautifully and the guests made a point in saying how great the food was.
On the day the team looking after us all was excellent - I cannot think of a single thing that I was even slightly dissatisfied with and I am not easily pleased as my children like to point out.....
We were lucky that it was held on a nice sunny day which made the Sadler building even more stunning. It is such a light and beautiful place - cannot think of anywhere else I would rather have been.
This is a go to place for my pal and I if we fancy chips by the sea.
We enjoy visiting because the staff are so friendly, especially Becky who always remembers our meals of choice ( fish cakes and chicken nuggets and chips) the food is always cooked to order, the ice creams are lovely too and all right on the prom with plenty of seating available.
