The best restaurants in North West

If you like fine food and attentive service then you should try the Thyme and Plaice. Dawn is front of house and her husband Graham is the chef. They have been running the restaurant for about 30 years and are a well polished act. Having come from Cornwall they are especially good at cooking fish and always have 2 fish choices on the varied main course menu. We have been several times recently and have always been very impressed.

Lovely little find. Varied menu, friendly staff and good food. My tikka chickpea protein bowl was almost more than I could manage; almost! Will go again.

Cool little cafe. Not really for breakfast but great for snacks and coffee.

We were a party of 4 and enjoyed the enclosed patio seating. Nice ambiance and the weather was awesome. The food quantity and taste was mid. We have had great Italian trattoria fare in other cities and really enjoyed it. What inspired me to write this review is the dessert. Our waitress recommended the Profiteroles. These were very very meh. The creme filling tasted greasy and slightly rancid. The chocolate was very quotidian. The ice creme tasted like it was supposed to. And on top of that for some inexplicable reason she charged us more for it.

Good hotel with a nice bar with very friendly service and good food.

Superb food, excellent wine list. Family run chef/Owner skilled at his job and very knowledgeable on his wines. Would highly recommend.

Had a fantastic time with my family at this restaurant. Brilliant food and great service from all the staff. In particular Hamza who waited on us was world class. He made our experience really positive. We liked it so much we got our family to go to Mahal. Highly recommended

Was OK I would go again to give chance to see if it was just a off day

I had the maple syrup waffles and it was incredible. There isn't a lot of seating, but we were lucky enough to get one. The food arrived quickly and the staff were lovely

When did Greggs stop doing meat and potato pies? Not much choice, and the pie I did get was no where near warm enough, very disappointed

Cheap and cheerful, friendly staff, only had a coffee but it was good
